Oak Crescent is conveniently located smack in the middle of trendy, hip, and adorable downtown Clayton, GA’s historic district. Walk to artsy Main St in 20 seconds flat or stay put and enjoy the fenced yard, tire swing, and fire pit. This 1920’s bungalow has been renovated with a mid century flare and decorated with love and attention to detail. With vibrant colors and fun kitsch, if you can’t be happy here, you cant be happy anywhere.

The Property: Oak Crescent includes a 1/2 acre fenced grassy yard with the most beautiful 100 year old oak (complete with tire swing for the young at heart). In summer, the house is engulfed with native hydrangeas. Enjoy the fresh mountain air from one of many outdoor perches or cozy around the large firepit for 5.

The Cabin: Walk through that robins egg blue door and you have arrived to the most quaint of mountain abodes. With the vaulted tin roof in the main area, guests will be begging for a rainy day. The use of bright, fun colors make it nearly impossible not to wake up on the right side of the bed. Finishes include all shiplap walls, wide-plank hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings and Jenn Air appliances.

The Layout: From the front porch, guests enter into an open main living area that houses the gathering room (with wood stove), dining room for 7, and kitchen in the rear (with coffee nook). Both ensuite bedrooms are off of the main living area (one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed). Off the kitchen, there is a half bath and steps leading down to the basement bunk nook with 3 twin beds and a laundry area.

The Area: Experience the charm of Downtown’s shops, bars, restaurants, and live music. Enjoy our local wineries, amazing boating on Lake Rabun & Burton, endless scenic hiking trails, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, trophy-worthy trout fishing and everything else beautiful Rabun County has to offer.

The Details: The living room, both bedrooms, and the bunk nook all have flat screen smart TV’s for streaming. We also have wifi. The kitchen is stocked with general kitchen essentials. This property is pet friendly with prior approval and a nominal pet fee. Parking is available for 3 cars. We expect our guests to be respectful of our home and our neighbors. If the (very reasonable) house rules are not adhered to, you’ll be asked to leave. Absolutely no parties.

This cottage is perfect for a visit to Clayton. Everything in town is within walking distance, including the very nearby Speakeasy which features cocktails fashioned from locally distilled liquor. The home itself is cozy and well apportioned with most anything you could need on a mountain vacation. We enjoyed the firebox in the house for morning and evening fires, and the fire pit outside was perfect to roast marshmallows. Each bathroom had plenty of linens. We will definitely return.

We loved our stay at this cabin in Clayton. The decor was so charming and cozy and really well done! The location was perfect to come and go to downtown Clayton for ourselves and teenagers. Literally, steps from great shops, restaurants and bars. We also found fishing close by in the area and hiked Rabun Bald Mountain and Black Rock Mountain. We also enjoyed the firepit and the fenced yard making it pet friendly. I would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed this charming bungalow for a few days to celebrate the 4th holiday and also a special birthday. The owners have made sure you have everything you need, especially in the kitchen. All-Clad cookware, high end appliances and plenty of thoughtful touches made for an easy stay. Loved the eclectic, colorful decor. Beds were comfortable with soft pillows and cozy linens – the quilts are just adorable. Kitchen and baths were nice and clean. Nice ambient lighting, Alexa for tunes, thoughtful living room seating and cozy blankets were much appreciated. The yard is totally fenced which made bringing our pup a breeze. Parking was good for up to 3 cars. Location is AMAZING *if* you want to be super close to downtown Clayton. Like, walk to Wander in a minute close. The only drawback is there is some construction going on around the house so the small street likely feels a little more hustle bustle than usual but it was not a big deal and did not impede our stay. Don't miss the tire swing under the gorgeous old oak tree, and no, you're not too old to swing. Thank you for a fun weekend getaway to the mtns!

This property is even better in person if you can believe, as it’s super cute in pictures! It’s actually more spacious than the pictures as well. The decor is perfection, and the layout is so smart. Comfortably accommodated 2 adults and 5 teens. Lots of outside seating and spaces as well. The location is awesome because it has a big yard and a Mountain View, yet it is one street off of main. The best of both worlds! Lots of fun day trips (rafting, tubing, hiking) all within an hour drive, and fun to explore and shop downtown. Highly highly recommend staying here and we will certainly do it again.

Very nice place and very clean. Great location to downtown Clayton and close to several towns. Beds were just a little bit too firm for my liking. Very roomy and places for everyone to stretch out after a long day.

My husband and I stayed in this special mountain cabin (truly vintage) beginning the day after Hurricane Helene. The town of Clayton was fortunate to experience no damage other than some downed trees and disruption with internet service. This cabin is as lovely and accurate as the pictures depict. We could easily live there! All modern updated features, beds and linens, bright lighting, a fully equipped and contemporary kitchen with superb appliances. Downstairs is a family dream…..a small lower room beautifully converted to a cozy bedroom with 3 single beds and heavy snuggly comforters and blankets. No car needed here! A walk to Main Street is literally 1 block, and there you are with great restaurants and shopping. Oh, and about 50 feet away is a new tasting room serving specialty cocktails, and in town a wine tasting room. House was spotless. The owner was quickly responsive and so helpful. This house is a little gem. Do not miss! We will absolutely be back.
