This home is a very strict non-smoking property, which includes the outside. Evidence of smoking including a smoke smell or cigarette butts on the ground will result in a $250 charge. If someone in your party smokes, please have them do so off the property lines and dispose of their butts appropriately. brbrDAMAGE. We have a ‘you break, you buy’ policy when it comes to damage. We will do a detailed inspection after you check-out to check for new damage. If you notice damage from a previous guest or if damage occurs during your stay, please report it to us right away. Attempting to conceal or failing to report damage, will automatically result in being charged for the replacement or repair. brbrHIGH FIRE DANGER. Tahoe is under high fire danger year round. The following actions are strictly forbidden: bonfires, outdoor fires, firepits, charcoal BBQs, fireworks, using the gas BBQ or gas firepit on a red flag day, etc. brbrUNFORESEEN HOME ISSUES. When renting someone else’s home, issues can arise that are out of our control. We do a detailed inspection before your arrival to ensure it’s clean and all amenities are functioning but despite our best efforts, sometimes things still happen. We ask that you communicate all issues as soon as they happen so we may be given the opportunity to rectify them. brbrFRAUDULANT CLAIMS. We believe in running an honest business and expect our guests to have the same mentality. Falsifying or embellishing home issues with the intention of receiving money back is something we will not tolerate. brbrCANCELLATIONS. We adhere to the cancellation policy we have set up on the site you booked through. We also highly recommend that our guests purchase travel insurance. However, we are human too. If you are past your cancellation time frame, please initiate the cancellation process on your end so we can open up the home’s calendar. If the home gets rebooked, we will refund you minus a 3% cancellation fee to cover credit card processing.brbrSECURITY CAMERAS. Like all vacation rental homes in Tahoe, we have security cameras on the exterior and noise decibel monitoring devices inside. This is to ensure our guests abide by the strict local ordinance. There are never any cameras inside our home.brbrREFUNDS. Reporting issues to us after you leave does not often result in a refund. We prefer to handle issues while you are here in order to make your stay with us exceptional so please report all issues to us during your stay. We are much more likely to offer a refund on our own terms for failure to resolve issues rather than be asked for money back after you’ve checked out. brbrSNOW REMOVAL. Summit Tahoe cannot guarantee snow removal services to the roads and driveway will be completed by the county and/or snow removal vendors. Delays during heavy snowfall are to be expected. Snow shovels are provided onsite. Guests are required to carry chains with them to Tahoe per local law. brbrICY WALKWAYS. Our walkways in Tahoe are icy so make sure all members of your party have snow boots and walk with care. We do our best to clear snow and add ice melt but despite best efforts our walkways still become icy. We are not liable for any falls or slips on the ice.brbrPETS. This home is pet friendly. Tahoe is home to many pests and rodents including but not limited to mice, rats, squirrels, mosquitos, spiders, moths, bats, etc. When the weather gets too hot or cold they often times prefer to hang out inside so don’t be surprised if you come across them during your stay. We have on-going pest control services but despite best efforts, they sometimes still find a way inside. It doesn’t mean our home is dirty, it’s just a part of being in the mountains. brbrBEARS. We have California black bears in Tahoe which are attracted to trash and food but will break into your cars for gum, crumbs, empty drinks, etc so make sure to always remove anything even remotely edible, roll up windows and lock car doors.

Open beams, pine ceilings and wood floors enhance the woodsy Tahoe chalet style. Two bedrooms and full bath are located on the first floor.brUpstairs there is a peaceful sitting room with fantastic views of the backyard, mountains and vistas. The primary, largest bedroom (with private bath) is a wonderful spot to relax. brThe upstairs sitting area can be accessed by a spiral staircase from the living room, or the “bridge” from the other wing.
