Built in 1958, this home has cathedral, beamed ceilings, a massive floor to ceiling rock fireplace with matching planter, double sliders that open to the completely private yard with recently redone pool, spa, firepit and outstanding mountain views. There are tasteful, mid century furnishings, including a fun cocktail bar.brbrThe main house consists of two master suites each with private bath. There is also a detached casita with its own heat and air conditioning, mini refrigerator and private bath. All open to the pool and private yard. Uncovered, secure parking is available behind the gate in the parking area. brbrThis home is centrally located minutes by car between the Palm Springs Airport and Downtown. THREE DAY MINIMUM STAY.brbrThe pool is heated to 85 degrees from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and is included. We have found this to be sufficient to keep the pool at a comfortable 85 degrees during the days in the winter months. Any additional pool heating past those times will be charged at $75/day to be paid in advance for the duration of the stay. The Spa is heated to 100 degrees and is included. A half bath is on the first floor and a den/office area with a desk is on the second. The kitchen features upscale appliances including a Viking gas stove, fridge, dishwasher and microwave.brbrThe home sleeps a total of six guests. The main house has two master bedrooms, each with king beds, televisions, en suite baths and walk-in closets on the second floor. The detached casita sleeps two more with a king bed, full bath, closet and beverage fridge. brThe attached garage fits two cars. brbrThe house rents for a minimum of 29 nights and we prefer rentals that start and end on or near the first of the month. It is an end unit with stunning mountain views to the west, north and south. No neighbors above or below and offers total privacy on three sides. Condo has its own private driveway, and two additional visitor spots directly in the front. The garage is inaccessible to guests. One of only a few gated communities in Palm Springs where these duplexes have their own fenced private yards which offers additional privacy and makes it very pet friendly.brbr The large patio area is great for entertaining with a 5 piece patio dining table, 2 loungers and BBQ all accessible from the living room or primary bedroom patio doors.brbrSunrise Palms is a quiet community and offers 8 pools and 8 hot tubs. Some heated pools are rotated in winter months but all are close and within a 5 minute walk or less. There are tennis courts, pickle ball, basketball courts, putting green and a large open green area with a walking/jogging track, with beautiful grounds.br brThis condo is approx 700 sq.ft and located 15 from the airport which is located in the center of the city so flight paths can sometimes change and be heavy at certain holiday dates over the complex. It is only a 30 min walk to Indian Canyon, Palm Canyon Dr (downtown) where fine restaurants, art galleries, casino and everything that makes Palm Springs one of the great destinations. 10 min from the Tram. 90 min to Laguna Beach and less than two hours to Los Angeles. Located in the desert, and with 355 days of sunshine, activities such as sightseeing, hiking, cycling or walking thru the trails and desert landscapes are indeed a great escape. With over 120 golf courses in the Coachella Valley the desert has become a golfers paradise. Other attractions such as the Tram, Joshua Tree, PGA, Indian Wells tennis, outdoor concerts or just taking a walk thru the streets where the stars make their homes near Palm Canyon Dr.brbr The city closes the main street every Thursday to showcase vendors, musicians, and great food. The city is diverse and welcoming to all.
