Hidden away in the coveted Sunrise Park neighborhood of central Palm Springs sits this spectacular, fully renovated Meiselman Mid-Century Modern home. Secluded and stylish, this well-appointed home is the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday under the California sun.

This Mid-Century Modern home has recently been meticulously renovated and seamlessly blends the mid-century aesthetic with modern contemporary touches. The newly landscaped back yard, pool, and fire pit are fully walled-in and surrounded by lush greenery and uninterrupted mountain views, creating a private and boutique vacation experience. Plenty of seating in the sun or shade (including an outdoor living area and dining area complete with misters, adjustable lighting, and a new gas grill) gives you the Palm Springs outdoor living experience day or night. After dark, the entire outdoor space is beautifully illuminated with soft lighting, while the fire pit is a gathering spot for contemplating the star-filled desert sky.

Upon entry, the first thing you will note is the dwelling’s open and bright floor plan with a series of sliding glass doors that flood the large Great Room with natural light and reveal the stunning pool area. The Great Room has seating for plenty of guests centered around a gas fireplace and a new, large 4K UHD LED flat screen television and soundbar, with both cable and Roku. The adjacent dining area comfortably seats six guests, making this the perfect space for friends and family to gather. The brand new, fully-equipped kitchen features quartz counters, island seating, and new stainless-steel appliances. The kitchen is fully outfitted with chef-quality cookware and knives, stemware and bar ware, appliances including a 12-cup coffee maker, microwave, toaster, food processor, blender, juicer, waffle maker, and all the various tools necessary to prepare gourmet meals at home. Various indoor and outdoor games and puzzles, as well as special interest and children's books available for use.

The high-gloss porcelain flooring guides you down the hall to three bedrooms and two bathrooms (all three bedrooms have closets separating them, no shared walls):

Guest Bedroom 1: Features two new high-density foam Twin beds, a flat screen TV, ceiling fan, and plenty of natural light. Various pillow options for all sleeping preferences.

Guest Bedroom 2: Features a Cal-King bed with new high-density foam topper, a flat screen TV, ceiling fan, and plenty of natural light. Various pillow options for all sleeping preferences.

Bathroom 1: New bathroom with walk-in shower (no tub), all standard hotel bathroom amenities provided featuring Malin+Goetz products. This bathroom is shared between both Guest Bedrooms.

Master Bedroom and en-suite Bath: Features a Cal-King bed with new high-density foam topper, large LED television, ceiling fan, and a slider that opens directly to a private seating area and access to the pool and patio. Various pillow options for all sleeping preferences. Includes en-suite Bath with walk-in shower (no tub), all standard hotel bathroom amenities are provided featuring Malin+Goetz products.

The patio has a mister system to keep you comfortable in the outdoor living and dining area. Adjacent to the patio and pool deck is the laundry room, available for your use anytime so you don’t have to over-pack, all laundry products are provided. There is also a pool bath and shower area accessible from inside the laundry room (bonus third bathroom).

The home has a laptop friendly desk in the great room with basic office supplies and tools, which together with the fastest residential Wi-Fi network available, makes for the perfect 'work from home' space.

This is a house for grown-ups seeking a quiet retreat, if you’re looking for a party house this is not the right rental for you. Our home and neighbors are very important to us, so we ask our guests to treat the space accordingly. Renters must be 25 or older, parents with children welcome.

Architectural Information:
Similar to the Alexander Construction family, Jack and Bernie Meiselman built affordable Mid-Century Modern post and beam homes in Palm Springs in the 1950’s and 1960’s, this home was constructed in 1953. These homes are very similar to the popular Alexander houses, noted differences include a galley-style kitchen and a more private Master Suite completely separated from the other living and common space.

Other things to note:

• Rates subject to change until reservation confirmed.
• Holiday Periods, as well as Modernism Week, Coachella, BNP Paribas Open, and other desert events may have higher Rates/Minimum Stays.
• One time cleaning fee ($250) and check-in fee ($50).
• Dogs allowed upon owner approval only. One time dog cleaning fee of $60 will apply.
• Optional pool heating is available at $50 per day.

City Requirements:
• Required City of Palm Springs Transient Occupancy Tax of 11.5% and Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) assessment of 1% will be applied to nightly rate, cleaning/ check-in /pet fees.
• Per City requirements, the primary Guest will be required to complete our rental agreement (separate from VRBO's terms) and provide a copy of driver's license prior to arrival. All adult guests must sign the City's Statement of Rules and Regulations prior to arrival.
• A maximum of 6 overnight guests. 4 additional guests are allowed during the day.
• A maximum of three (3) automobiles are allowed at the house. Per City requirements, make/model and license plates of all cars will need to be provided.
• No music may be played outside at any time. This includes music played inside that may be heard outside. There is a $500 citation for violation. [If guest receives a citation, guest will be subject to immediate eviction without refund.]

    We spent a week at this Palm Springs gem and are already considering a return visit next year. The house was especially clean, very private and the hosts included everything you could think of (and quite a few things you may not have thought of). Very close to airport and downtown Palm Springs.

    This was a beautiful home and yard. Perfect for our family to stay in while we visited family in Palm Springs. Kids loved the pool and we loved the backyard. Owners were very responsive to questions and concerns. The house was exceptionally well stocked with almost anything you could need, including a refrigerator full of condiments and well stocked spice drawer. Certainly a house we would stay in again.     Home was spotless, instructions and labels made it very easy to navigate. Never rented a house that had so many spices and condiments. So if you’re planning on cooking this is the place to stay. All high end appliances, gadgets pots and pans. Jon was very quick to reply. Put up a beautiful Holiday tree for us. Able to walk downtown. Close to many hiking trails. Joshua Tree less than hour drive. Beautiful private yard with pool and fire pit. Extra bathroom in outside laundry room.This home does not disappoint.

    The house and yard are beyond ?. I would rate the this “STR” as one of my favorites. Everything you might think of, it’s there. Fantastic! From beds, to linens, to fully stocked kitchen (spices, olive oil, vinegars etc), plus lovely bath products and so much more. Jon and Ryan have thought of everything.     This home was one of the nicest VRBO’s we have ever stayed in. Beautifully decorated, comfortable furniture and beds, fully stocked kitchen, great technology including four TV’s. The backyard was the star of the show with an amazing pool, two tankes for outdoor dining, fire pit, multiple chairs for sunbathing. We were there in early March so we didn’t use the misters but there is a nice shade area under the overhang. Really loved the 60’s vibe with a modern twist. Jon was a great host and easy to communicate with. Great location, close to downtown Palm Springs and the airport. We would love to return.
