Changes in the short term rental regulations by the city of Palm Desert, combined with the unique zoning of Casablanca, create a unique, one of a kind rental opportunity for guests to stay in the heart of Palm Desert, just off infamous El Paseo, in their own private boutique hotel – Casablanca. With no expense spared, the year long renovation focused on all the amenities one would come to expect in a five-star resort setting, while enjoying the privacy of a private residence. Since the home was originally built as a bed and breakfast, all bedrooms offer en suite bathrooms, king beds, vaulted ceilings, large flat screen TVs and personal thermostat controls. This insures everyone gets a comfortable room and private bathroom. The former manager's office was converted to a Moroccan lounge with a blue monochromatic theme. This room can also be converted to a full bed configuration for kids or adults to sleep in. In total, Casablanca offers 7 en suite bedrooms with king beds, the Moroccan lounge room and eight full bathrooms. brWhen dining in at Casablanca, we have a full kitchen and bar both inside and outside the estate. There are two custom oversized dining tables, both inside and outside. The indoor table is a ten-foot custom circular table that seats 14+ with a six-foot lazy-susan, otherwise one could never reach the items in the center. It likely the largest circular dining table you have ever seen. The table is an utterly unique piece that is great for hosting large groups and even better for photo opportunities on special occasions. For nice evenings, the outdoor table seats a similar 14-16 guests, under the shaded overhang, with music, fan for a breeze and misters to keep the temperature down. We recommend hiring a private chef to prepare the food, so you can prepare the drinks. brThe backyard of Casablanca has a private resort feel comprising chaise lounge chairs, daybeds with privacy curtains, commercial misting system, heated pool, full outdoor kitchen/bar and vast grassy area for outdoor movies, group yoga, games, etc. The property was designed with the intention of hosting and entertaining small to medium size groups; family vacations, golf retreats, bachelor/bachelorette parties, yoga retreats, corporate functions/retreats, and small weddings. The common spaces are designed to accommodate private gatherings with a focus on people interacting, eating, sleeping, drinking, and working together. Summary:brbrThis recently constructed modern condo spared no expense in furnishings and finishes.  From the electric shades controlled by wall switches, to the 3 section sliding glass door in the living room, to the outdoor grill and seating area located in an outdoor atrium within the home, and the private hot tub on the back patio, this home is exceptionally unique  The textured concrete block walls make an excellent backdrop to feature modern artwork which is prominently displayed throughout the home.  Although the well appointed kitchen will allow you to prepare meals without ever leaving, you will be far too temped to enjoy the many fine dining establishments along El Paseo.   The hot tub in the back yard is very private, and will allow you to stay warm on cool winter nights or help cool you off in the heat of the summer!  If you and your significant other want to pamper yourself for long weekend surrounded by palm trees and fine dining, this is your place.  This villa home also lends itself to families since the two bedrooms are each equipped with a queen size beds along with a queen air mattress for the living room allowing the 4 guests allowed to occupy this unit per the City of Palm Desert a place to nap in front of the TV.  The dining room table comfortably seats six. Should you be visiting Palm Desert with another couple, the two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the home and each has their own bathroom  offering an extra level of privacy.  Hotel Paseo is across the street and offers day passes if you would like to use their pool or fitness center during your stay. If traveling in a group, consider booking units 2 and 4 in this building at the same time. Both are vacation rentals managed by Velo Vacation Rentals. brbrbrbrNote: Palm Desert Velo is one of f our units in a common condominium complex with full time residents occupying the condo nextdoor.  For this reason, this home does not lend itself to events or parties, and we only allow a maximum of 8 guests to be on the property at any time, and no more then 6 guests can stay overnight.  If you are looking for a  romantic get-a-way vacation, this place works great.   If you are in town for a business trip or a family vacation, this place works great!
