Lux, creekfront 8-acre retreat with hot tub

Beautiful grounds and house.

The house was nestled in the woods away from others and provided a perfect environment for a beautiful Christmas with our family. High lights were the wood burning fireplace, hot tub, seclusion but close to charming town, beautiful setting and pretty home. We would definitely come back. Thank you!

The owners were Very nice to work with and very responsive and accommodating! Home was immaculate, kitchen well stocked, the grounds are beautiful. We also rented the Studio which is quite spacious and lovely too. It was difficult to get it warm enough though. We loved all the windows, the light and the views they offered. Also, the numerous decks and opportunities to sit outside in warmer weather... especially by the creek. We had difficulty regulating the heat in the charming downstairs suite. We can't imagine anyone being disappointed in staying in this beautiful home! We hope to be able to return in warmer weather to fully avail ourselves of the magnificent surroundings. J.C.

What a special place the owners have created! We were a crowd of 11 for four nights and this property was perfect. Even in August, Deer Creek was too cold to do much more than wade up to our knees, but no matter -Nevada City and California's wild rivers provided us with all that we came to enjoy.Surrounded by pine trees, the big house is exactly as pictured. Ample parking and circle driveway. 2-car garage. Main level has a half-bath, large bedroom with king bed & 4-piece en suite, an office with daybed & desk, laundry/utility room with washer/dryer, living room, hearth, dining room overlooking the elevated deck and path to the creek. Convenient kitchen with everything needed to feed our crowd. Lower level is a walkout with two large bedrooms, each with king beds, and central bathroom with shower.Two in our party stayed in the Studio with king bed, full bathroom plus kitchenette. This was very convenient!We exhausted ourselves each day at various places along the Yuba River swimming & rock hunting, so the hot tub became our nightly therapy.Impressions: Serene. Quiet. Picturesque. Both the big house & Studio were spacious and relaxing. We plan on coming back. Owners have created a wonderful retreat that is instantly relaxing.

Place is very clean and had everything you would need. Picturesque views from the back deck. Whole house fan and air conditiiner. We had a lovely time.

A truly lovely property. Every year our family looks for a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery with our dogs. This was by far the best place we've found. Nevada City is adorable, the house was private and I can't say enough about that creek that flows through the property. We were there everyday and the dogs absolutely loved it. Can't wait to return! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. (We did bring our own pizza oven, pasta and ice cream maker as we are a family of home chefs) but everything else was plentiful.

Our 3-generation family had a relaxing stay surrounded by beauty. As other reviews have stated, the home is nestled among trees with the windows and deck facing the creek. Our two toddlers enjoyed the deck along with the adults, and our dogs loved running freely when we walked to the creek. The kitchen had ample cookware, plates, and glasses. The beds were comfortable. Beautiful scenery, lovely home, close to downtown ... our family had a fantastic stay.

I stayed here with my 5 girlfriends for a weekend to celebrate my 50th. After a couple of them left, some of the Dads came up with the kids. The property was spacious with ample bathrooms. Everything was really clean. My friends enjoyed the extra spices that were left behind in the pantry for cooking our meals. We roamed the property near the creek and the kids enjoyed the fair garden. We were finally able to enjoy the jacuzzi right before we left. We can't wait to come back! Just a head's up that the house itself has 4 bedrooms, and the studio is the 5th bedroom. Also, if you don't want to share the property, you need to block out the studio. I didn't see that in the listing, but luckily we blocked out the studio. We would book the studio next time. Emily was so responsive and helpful. We were all wishing we could've stayed longer. Thank you Emily!

Just what an amazing property! Hosts were great and everything was exactly as they said it would be. My family loved it and everyone had great space for relaxation and we just LOVED the view from the back porch. We would recommended this property to anyone.

Beautiful home tucked into the woods, with a stream that sounds so peaceful to fall asleep to and wake up to. Will stay again!

We recently stayed at this lovely property and had a wonderful time. The house is comfortable, well appointed and the views are beautiful. The location is ideal, so private yet close to downtown NC. The absolute highlight of this special property is the incredible creek that runs behind it. Absolutely stunning! Would highly recommend?

Very nice home. Secluded and quiet. It felt like we were in a tree house with the large windows surrounding the whole house. The property is very large and shady with a beautiful creek just a short walk down a hill on the property. Just a short(less than 5 min) drive to Nevada City. Very comfortable beds and furnishings. Clean and well taken care of. Well equipped with everything we needed and more. We could tell that the owners really care about their home and property. Thank you for sharing it with us. We plan on returning.
