Stayed Dec 20, 2025Wow! What a beautiful home and and even lovelier host! This home is a must visit if you come to Nevada City or neighboring towns. From the kind greeting and excellent tour and conversation to the yummy homemade coffee cake that was still warm! YUM!- could not have been better! We came for the Nevada Christmas Faire which was negatively affected by the extreme rain and found that Kim’s home made our trip! Most excellent host! Most excellent accommodations! We will be back! Thanks for everything, Kim!

Stayed Dec 5, 2025It was a wonderful experience staying at the magnolia house. It was an annual trip for the Nevada City Victorian Christmas weekend. The home is beautiful and everything was set up perfectly for a group of friends to catch up and enjoy the weekend. Kim is an excellent host and keeps a very clean and welcoming home. We would definitely stay her again in the future.

Stayed Dec 21, 2024Beautifully restored and updated Victorian, carefully curated in every room. Greeted by friendly owner who toured us throughout the home pointing out its features. Table set with holiday china, homemade coffee cake on the kitchen counter, and three decorated trees. Perfect for our trip to see festive Nevada City Christmas Market.

Stayed Dec 24, 2023The photos do the home well. It is a classic Victorian with a nicely updated kitchen. It is very close to downtown. The host was very nice. We had an issue with VBRO where she did not get the reservation when we booked it. It wasn't until the morning we were to check in when she was notified. She took the time to make sure we were able to stay and not have to find another rental. The house is very large as well as a large yard. The furnishings and amenities are very nice. The only thing I would recommend is runners on the stairs. As it is recommended not to wear shoes, going up and down the stairs in socks or slippers is very slippery on the painted stairs. My my slipped and hit her head on the wall and sprang her ankle.
