Cold Water Creek is very quaint. Don't let the small size fool ya, along with the property, this is a gem. Cold Water Creek runs in the back yard of this one acre parcel. If you leave the master bedroom window open, you can hear the water trickling downstream. The earlier in spring, the better of course from the snow melt in the high country of the Sierra's. The back patio is so relaxing and with giant oak and ponderosa pine trees, you have shade in the late afternoon. The house in on a culdesac that is fairly flat. It's perfect for a little stroll any time of day. Say hi to the other neighbors that enjoy Coachman Road as well. We are located in a subdivision called Ponderosa Basin. It is a perfect distance between the two mountain towns, Mariposa and Oakhurst. Both of which have entrances into Yosemite National Park. If you have any off road vehicles, you can take Chowchilla Mountain Road all the way into the park and pop out at the Wawona Golf Course inside Yosemite.

Town is about a 12 minute drive from the guest suite, which is very typical for our area. brbrIndian Rock Lane is a dead end, 1/4 mile long dirt/gravel road easily passable with any vehicle. Our driveway is the 4th one on the right. DIrt/gravel roads are very common in Mariposa County. brbrThe Yosemite Arch Rock Entrance is about 45 minutes from the guest suite, which is a better than average drive time for most vacation rentals in Mariposa County. brbrWe have a property gate to keep neighboring dogs and goats from entering our property and to keep deer from eating our landscaping.j

As you enter the property once inhabited by the Miwok Indians in the foothills of the High Sierra, you'll pass a few massive 250 year old pines and to the right a view of our private pond. Passing through the electric gates you'll drive down our paved driveway to the cabin. Plenty of parking available, the cabin has a wrap around stamped concrete patio. Picnic benches and seating where everyone can relax! Just across from the gas BBQ and Big Green Egg smoker is the fire pit area with Adirondack chair seating. The cabin has cathedral ceilings with beautiful rustic ceiling fans throughout. It was built and designed by the building planner for Yosemite National Park. Rustic wood interior throughout. There are three bedrooms in the home. The master bedroom has a king size bed, private bathroom with a Clawfoot tub and Smart TV. Just outside the double doors enjoy a private patio area with a two comfy rocking chairs to relax and enjoy. The second bedroom has a queen bed with TV. The main bathroom has a mountain rustic feel decorated with Yosemite slate rock and redwood siding. The third bedroom is in the loft area which is has access by the interior spiral staircase or by stairs that lead to the outdoor private wood deck area with a teak table setting and umbrella. Room includes barn doors with a view and a king size bed. The space also includes a very comfy L couch and 65 Smart TV for entertainment and gaming. The woodsy kitchen has modern appliances, Duo Coffee maker and everything you'll need to cook a meal. The living room has wood mission style couches, a recliner and Smart TV. Warm yourselves with our latest addition a beautiful Vermont wood burning stove. Living room also includes a pellet stove to warm the cabin.
