Union Station, 3 BR/4 Beds, free private secure parking, backyard patio

Washington, Washington D.C., United States

A perfect location for vacation or business! 2 blocks from Union Station and access to the metro (red line), Amtrak and commuter trains (including the train from BWI airport). Equally close to the Capitol, Supreme Court, Library of Congress and so much more. House is set up for a family, 2 couples, or business colleagues. Less than one block to great coffee shops and boutique markets for essentials. 2 blocks to a major grocery store, restaurants and other amenities. Secure private parking spot included. The space The house is very clean and well-designed with an open floor plan and half bath on the first floor, 3 bedrooms, full bath, and washer/dryer upstairs. The house is decorated to provide a comfortable oasis from the city where you can kick back and relax on the large sectional sofa, in the sunny bay window reading nook, or on the back patio when the weather is nice. The location of the house is convenient to business and tourist travels alike: it's less than 2 blocks from the metro and buses, commuter trains (VRE and MARC), and Amtrak. And you can easily walk to the Capitol, Eastern Market, the H Street corridor, the museums on the Mall, and more. Rent a Capital BikeShare bike using the station around the corner or take a great run or walk through historic Capitol Hill. You don't need a car to stay here, but if you do bring your car, you can have access to the private parking spot in the rear of the house. The 3 bedrooms have a king, queen, and twin bed with a trundle, and a pack and play for an infant, and all rooms have blackout curtains so that you can sleep in if you choose. The bath has a full size tub. The kitchen has all the utensils and dishes you will need and the dining room table seats six very comfortably. Guests will also enjoy the 55-inch flat screen smart TV in the living room which includes local channels. There's Verizon Fios WiFi for you to use in my house and a full stereo. The backyard has a small bistro table and chairs for when the weather is nice. Other things to note The house has stairs to get to the entryway and to the 2nd floor, where all the bedrooms are located. brI can't accommodate pets or accept packages for you. The apartment below the main house is where I (and my dogs) may stay during your visit. In addition, we are connected to neighbors on both sides. Given the proximity of city living, we ask that you are mindful of the neighbors and keep noise including the volume on the TV and music at a reasonable level and remove your shoes in the house. Also please no jumping on (or off) any of the furniture including beds and sofa. Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. Inform the host of any items that are not working, any items that may have broken during your stay, or if there are any spills or issues that may require extra cleaning or repair - don’t wait for me to “discover” it after you check out. Accidents happen and are usually easily resolved. Thank you for understanding.brbrThere is a motion detector light and security camera outside the back entrance to the house facing the garage and another facing the outside front entrance. Historic Dog-Trot cabin huge porch Farm-stay

Washington, Arkansas, United States

Come take a step back in time and relax in our 170 year old dog-trot cabin. It is an authentic historic structure with added modern conveniences. Whether it's a quiet evening on the porch, a dip in the pool at night under the stars, or coffee with the animals, you are sure to enjoy your stay at our farm as you experience life in a cabin as it might have been in the early 1800's. Our historical cabin can sleep 5 comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms, one king suite with additional sleeper sofa, and one queen room with attached guest bath! The cabin features a full kitchen and two bathrooms, master suite has tub/shower combo and guest bath has claw foot tub with hand held shower. brbrAs a guest at our farm, feel free to roam around. The entire farm is yours. You may enjoy the pool between 10 AM - 9 PM, mingle with the animals or relax on the porch of your cabin. I live on the property and am available as needed. I have spent hours by the pool with some guests and just greeted others. It is entirely up to the guest how much interaction they want. I am always available on the property. brbrA heavy continental breakfast (Farm fresh egg and cheese strata, a homemade pastry, farm fresh yogurt, and orange juice) is served either in your cabin or at poolside (weather permitting) for $12 per guest. We love your fur babies, and they are more than welcome at Coulter Farmstead. We charge an additional fee of $25 per pet per night. brCoulter Farmstead is a luxurious, rustic, and historic farmstead located in Washington, Arkansas that features four log cabins dating to the 1840's and a unique barn loft over an actual working barn that have been painstakingly renovated, as well as an 1860's antebellum Greek Revival home situated on 11 acres with an 1880's historic mercantile. Coulter Farmstead is located on the edge of Washington State Park Old Washington located just a few miles from Hope and Texarkana. Our property is authentic and will make you feel as though you have stepped back in time, but with all the modern conveniences and amenities. Come relax in one of the cabins or barn loft, experience unique shopping in the historic mercantile, or have the perfect intimate wedding anywhere outside on this beautiful property. Whichever you decide, our farmstead is the picture of rustic beauty. It is our hope that you and your guests will feel comfortable and right at home whatever the occasion, as you make memories to cherish for a lifetime. At Coulter Farmstead, drink in the simple, peaceful pleasures of farm life with just the sounds of nature as your backdrop. Experience a gentler way of life in a place where we describe porch sitting, book reading and coffee drinking as an activity. A farm fresh, heavy continental breakfast with a scrumptious cheese strata souffle' with fresh eggs from the family chickens, farm fresh homemade yogurt, a pastry and seasonal juice is available to guests in their cabins.
