As an added bonus, Branson, MO and Eureka Springs, AR is only an hour's drive from the cabins. Please note that we are located on a gravel road a half mile off of Hwy 7. The cabin water source is rain catchment so guests are asked to be conservative with water usage, especially during dryer months. We have a firepit, cut wood, a charcoal grill and a hammock available for your use outside. brOur beautiful mountainside hobby farm offers an experience like no other. The cabin sits beyond a large privacy fence so you have your own yard. A small herd of goats roams freely keeping weeds and brush under control, while our chickens live a happy life free range pasturing during the daylight hours. Our 2 Great Pyrenees pups watch over the animals with a faithful eye and greet our guests with love!brExperience the magic of Jasper at our cabin.brbr**Details to note: While this is a beautiful mountainside spot that means getting up the mountainside. The driveway up is steep gravel with some rough spots which is par for the course in Newton County. Low-clearance vehicles are not recommended. Jasper is a quaint town where restaurants, eclectic shops and groceries can be found. And, the Boxley Valley offers many opportunities to view the wild elk that live there and also has many great hikes including Lost Valley and the Buffalo River Trail (BRT). We are only minutes from several access points of the Buffalo National River and from many of the best hiking trails in the region. The cabin is located on 11 private acres and is at the end of a dead-end road, so it provides much privacy. Deer, bunnies, turkeys, and hummingbirds are often seen at the cabin. And, in the warmer months, hundreds of fireflies light up our woods!brbrOur cabin has one bedroom downstairs with a sleeping loft upstairs. It also has two full baths located on the main floor. In addition to the inside amenities, we have a wrap-around covered porch that makes being outside and experiencing nature very enjoyable. Part of the porch is screened-in which make being on the porch during the spring and summer great!brbrThe gravel driveway is a bit steep. We highly recommend a 4WD vehicle or SUV. You will find some of the best hiking in our region close by as well. We are only 1.5 miles to the Buffalo River Trail and 2.25 miles to the Buffalo River at Kyle's Landing and to the Triple Falls hike. We are conveniently located in the middle of Jasper and Ponca/Boxley Valley being 10 minutes to Jasper and 15 minutes to Ponca. Pieces of old homesteads have been integrated into the design of the home bringing an old-time feel to it. As you walk in, your eye is drawn to the wall of windows in the kitchen that bring the outdoors in, and the walnut butcher block counter tops add to the rustic feel of the renovated kitchen. It is a great place to prepare a meal for dining outside on the big wrap-around porch. brbrYou will find that the farmhouse is very roomy, and it can comfortably sleep seven. There are three over-sized bedrooms for your comfort. On the main level is the master, and it has a king bed, adjoining full bath, and wrap around windows overlooking the pond and woods. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms that almost feel like suites. One bedroom has a king bed plus a twin that adjoins the bathroom, and the other bedroom has 3 twin beds making it a perfect kids' room! The Homestead Farmhouse was built by Alonzo and Ersie Spencer. They raised a family with six children in this home that was built during the depression using lumber taken from trees on the property. Through the years it has been modernized. I am the their granddaughter and I used it for an art studio and gallery until the summer of 2015. I totally remodeled and updated the interior. There is a large new kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower featuring handprinted tiles. There is energy efficient heating and cooling. There is a wonderful large porch on the front. A remnant of early times, the root cellar is in back of the house. The smoke house is no longer standing. There are two ponds on the property and a wooded 40 acres to explore. The Homestead has the added convenience of not being on a dirt road. For this reason it is perfect for motorcycles. The location is about half way between Jasper and Ponca. It is close to Buffalo river access and hiking trails.

The Majestic Cabin @ Heather Hill Cabins is located 7 miles north of Jasper, AR just 2 miles from Pruitt's landing on the Buffalo River. The cabins are nestled in the woods on 20 acres. Guests can enjoy tons of outdoor activities in the area from canoeing the beautiful Buffalo River, many miles of scenic hiking trails, the Little Grand Canyon of Ark, zip-lining,, waterfalls galore, cliff jumping in the Buffalo (if you're crazy). As a bonus, Branson, MO and Eureka Springs, AR are just an hour's drive from the cabins. Please note that we are located on a gravel road a half mile off of Hwy 7. Once you arrive at Heather Hill Cabins, the driveway is gravel (9% grade). The last driveway to this cabin is paved at a 13% grade. Gravel can be bumpy at times however 4 wheel drive is not necessary. brbrWelcome to the Majestic cabin, our newest cabin nestled in the forest. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin is the perfect spot to relax after a full day of exploring the Arkansas Ozarks. The cabin is upscale with custom woodwork and tin, elegantly decorated, with all the comforts of home. brbr* The living room is the perfect spot to gather with your family and friends, to play games, converse, or watch your favorite movies and tv shows on the Roku TV. A gas fireplace adds to the coziness of the living room. There is a sleeper-sofa for those needing an extra bed. For those needing to stay connected, we have high speed WIFI. brbr* The kitchen is fully equipped, featuring full-size stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops, and all the cookware to make your favorite meals including a crockpot, blender, toaster, microwave, drip coffee maker, and all the utensils and cookware you could possibly need. The dining table seats up to 6 and is off the kitchen.brbr* The master bedroom features a California king size bed, with cotton linens for you to get a great night's sleep. Through the large farmhouse barn door is a spacious master bathroom featuring a 2-person air jetted tub and a ceramic shower. brbr*The second bedroom has a full-size bed along with twin bunkbeds. brbr*The second full bathroom is off the living room, with a stand-up shower.brbr* The outdoor space includes a front deck overlooking the peaceful forest, with a charcoal grill, handmade cedar porch swing, and a bistro table and chairs. Enjoy the fire ring for those evening campfires to make those family memories, roasting hotdogs and savory S'mores.
