Stayed Oct 7, 2025We found Firefly Cottage to be a very clean, cozy, and comfortable house midway between Ponca/Boxley Valley and Jasper. We were near the elk, the Buffalo River, and some great scenic drives. We enjoyed the big wrap-around porch with a great picnic table and swing. If you are looking for a very quiet and peaceful stay, you will find it at Firefly Cottage.

Stayed May 31, 2025Loved our stay! Secluded cabin, beautifully decorated, thoughtfully stocked! Great location, close to plenty of beautiful hiking trails, the Buffalo River, sightseeing, including nearby elk at Ponca. Comfy bed, screened-in porch out back, porch swing out front. All the comforts of home; peaceful and quiet!

Stayed May 21, 2024Wonderful property! Loved the seclusion. We were stuck at the house one day due to rain, we had all outside activities planned, but we were not sad about it. Being able to enjoy the rain on The covered porch was fantastic. We love the Buffalo River area and would definitely choose this property again when we visit.

Stayed Apr 6, 2024cute, clean and well decorated cottage but it has a few issues. confusing light switches, ceiling fan in bedroom would not work without light on, mattress on king bed uneven. swarm of wasps on back porch we had to spray. overall it was a nice place to stay and we enjoyed.

Stayed Oct 27, 2023We really enjoyed a weekend getaway at the Firefly cabin. Great location. Very clean. We went for the fall colors and to see the elk. Nice to come back and use the grill for meals. Communication with management was great, too.
