The best time I have found is when they first open in the gates in the morning. It is usually right around feeding time and when animals are let out of their pens after natural enclosures have been cleaned. Seeing Desert Bighorns laying in the rocks is nothing like watching them scamper around and frolic on the man made cliffs.
