The home sits on a huge lot that backs up to woods and a small ravine, offering rare privacy in town. brbrProperty DetailsbrThe Sunshine House was built in the early 1900s and maintains much of its original charm, including the cozy front porch! The first floor has a dining room, living room with TV (no cable access but able to be used with your streaming accounts), full kitchen, full bath (with a bathtub/shower combo), and a bedroom with a full bed. The second floor is more of a traditional suite-style layout, with the bed and living area in the front half of the space, and the kitchen and bathroom at the back. There are 2 additional beds in this space (one full size, and a twin trundle bed). Note: THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING at Sunshine House, but fans are provided for warmer days.brbrThe front of the house features a lovely covered porch with a swing (you can take in views of the lake from here as well!). The back yard has a picnic table, gas grill, and seating around the in-ground fire pit. You'll especially enjoy the sense of privacy the yard offers, as the back yard backs up to woods and a small ravine, and there are no homes to either side. As an added feature, there's a wonderful fish market just a block away! brbrLocation & Transit InfobrBayfield is a very walkable city, so your best bet is on foot. brbrOff street parking is available in the parking area next to the house (will fit two cars side-by-side). Just off the main living room area you will be welcomed to both the spacious kitchen and dining room area or you can walk out on the 1,200 sq ft deck to catch the sunrises and to relax.brbrThis well cared for vacation home consists of a first floor master suite with king bed featuring views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands and en-suite bathroom. Propane shall be turned OFF after use. Covers shall be placed back on grills AFTER they have cooled. brbr12. RECREATIONAL VEHICLES: brAre not allowed at this rental. brbr13. Spend hours of uninterrupted time on one of three benches situated at various points along the bluff, all providing stunning views of the lake and at least five of the Apostle Islands. Or hike down the 76 steps to the water level and soak in the sun on our dock.brbrThe home is a spectacular four bedroom, four full bath contemporary with Scandinavian styling, and was formerly operated as a Bed & Breakfast. The huge open family room and dining area boasts an 18-foot high custom ceiling beam, a massive glass wall overlooking the lake, maple floors, skylights, and a loft floored with Wisconsin knotty pine. Spiral staircases are the finishing touch that make this home a one-of-a-kind architectural masterpiece.brbrThe main kitchen is well-equipped, with a new refrigerator and microwave, a gas island range, dishwasher, both Keurig and standard coffee makers, and endless cabinets!brbrAll four bedrooms have amazing lake views, and each bedroom has its own full bathroom with shower. The property has even been visited by an occasional bear and bobcat! The large deck includes a gas grill and generous 8-seat table overlooking the big lake and Basswood Island.brbrWithin ten short minutes, you're in the center of Bayfield, a town honored by national publications for its restaurants, marina, shopping, entertainment, and overall charm. Go on a glass-bottom boat tour and visit nearby shipwrecks, visit the sea caves by kayak, take the ferry to Madeline Island, or experience one of Bayfield's many events such as the famous Apple Festival in October.
