He returned to her with each spring migration, coming to her call and landing on her finger. Now, the owners are honoring Mary’s memory by keeping the home in the family and opening it up for visitors to enjoy. brbrA buckboard wagon bench greets you in the breezeway, an homage to the very buckboard that brought Mary to this area in the late 19th century. With rich history, yet modern amenities, guests can enjoy this two bedroom, two bathroom retreat with fast WiFi, a smart TV, bluetooth sound system, board games, books, and binoculars to enjoy the beautiful variety of birds and wildlife. In the Summer and Fall, bring a canoe or kayak to get out on the water, stroll the FFA and Lakeshore parks that border The Blackbird Inn’s property, or simply enjoy the beautifully landscaped gardens. During Winter, hop on the snowmobile trail, do some birdwatching while sitting by the fire, or shop and eat at the many small businesses in Rice Lake. brbrStep into the breezeway where you are greeted with floor to ceiling windows, a sliding glass door, and a spacious chair-and-a-half which pulls out into a twin bed. The kitchen features a full sized stove/oven, with a miniature dishwasher, and mid-sized refrigerator. The lake facing side of the house includes a living space with more windows and space to take in the views, as well as a woodburning fireplace for cozy days. This space also features a full sized pull out sofa sleeper. Off the kitchen, an open concept living room has a smart tv and comfortable seating with a full bathroom. Upstairs, enjoy a convenient desk for remote work or to explore your creative side. The primary bedroom features a king bed, five windows for more views of Rice Lake with a door opening directly into the upstairs full bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The Birchview Suite Duplex lower Level is a unique cottage that features an open concept between the fully stocked kitchen and living room. It boasts 9 ft. barn wood ceilings throughout, as well as exposed aggregate stone floors with in floor heating. The living room walls are made with real birch logs from our land! This cozy bungalow has a beautiful field stone fireplace to keep you toasty on those cold winter nights. The view is awesome with lots of windows lakeside to enjoy the beautiful Birch trees and of course all the wild life on Tuscobia Lake. Two french doors lead out to the spacious flagstone patio entrance area from the great room and the master bedroom. A great space to just sit and relax. There is also a fire pit fully stocked with wood, dining table, and grill for you to use. The Birchview Suite lower level is totally closed off from guests who are staying in the upper level. The entire upper and lower levels can be booked as one unit by calling Stonehaven Resort. We have a private dock 1/4 mile from the cottage and offer complementary use of kayaks, row boats, and canoes! We also have a pontoon for rent. Plenty of hiking and biking opportunities can be found on and off the resort. State Trails are also nearby.

br Slow and steady wins the race! We are tickled to introduce our second cottage “The Turtle” here at Stonehaven Cottages! This cozy little one level cottage was moved here from Turtle Lake, WI and has received a total makeover. We’ve sprinkled in a few antiques, along with some adorable turtle decor to give this quaint lakeside cottage a charm all its own!br Transforming this little gem was a lot of hard work, but well worth it! The first thing we did was knock out a few walls to create an open concept, which includes a full kitchen, dining area, and a living room with a cozy field stone fireplace. It has one small bedroom with a queen size bed, a queen sofa sleeper in the living room, and a small bathroom with a shower. The focal point of this cottage boasts a large barnwood archway in the vaulted ceiling giving it a look and feel of being inside a turtle shell. We added barnwood and cedar shakes to several walls giving it a warm rustic charm. We left some of the knotty pine walls to give it a nostalgic feel of northwoods cabins of the past. You'll enjoy the look and feel of the old Fir flooring as you walk barefoot throughout the cottage. The entire east side wall of The Turtle has windows allowing for a spectacular sunrise view of Tuscobia Lake!br You can enjoy eating/grilling on the lakeside deck, or relaxing by the campfire area that overlooks the waterfowl marsh in the foreground, and Tuscobia Lake in the background. You won't want to miss watching the Bald Eagles flying in and out of their nest on Eagle Island, which is about 500 feet across the lake from the campfire area. When life gets too busy, come and slow down a bit at The Turtle!br

The new stackable vinyl windows allow for open ventilation throughout the cabin. This lakefront cabin rental is located in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, and provides the perfect setting for a getaway in nature. The cabin features a full kitchen, two beds and one bathroom and can accommodate four comfortably. The open concept area has a queen-size and full size bed, dining table, love seat, chair, electric fireplace, and large flat screen TV with DVD's. In the bathroom, guests will find a sink, toilet and shower. Linens and towels are provided. brbrAfter a busy day exploring the lake guests can kick off their shoes and watch a DVD, catch up on some reading, or enjoy a glass of wine in front of the cozy fireplace. Charming private lake cabin Barefoot Bungalow located in channel between Hemlock and Red Cedar Lake in Barron County. Cabin comes complete with queen bed, sleeper sofa in living room comfortably sleeps one additional adult/child, linens, towels, flat screen TV with a selection of DVD's. Kitchen is equipped with stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, insta pot and all the necessary dishes and cooking utensils. In the fall of 2019 I added a common area for guest use which includes an outdoor kitchen equipped with a charcoal, built in gas grill , refrigerator, and a beautiful outdoor stone fireplace. Please note, the outdoor common area is shared by my other cabin. Private bedroom comes complete with a two person jetted tub if your looking for that romantic get away. Pack up your vehicle and explore this northern Wisconsin retreat. This property has a dock available for use to guests. You will find all you need to enjoy some R&R. The public boat landing is only a mile away, so bring your boat if you please. Fish cleaning house and kayaks are also available for guest use.brbrHemlock Lake is 364 acres known for Bluegill, Large Mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Small Mouth Bass and Walleye. Red Cedar Lake is 1897 acres with Bluegill, Large and Small Mouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye.
