It is in a private setting, surrounded by trees, yet is within walking distance to the Egg Harbor beach and all the town has to offer. There are bikes in the shed you are free to use, and the connected country roads are great for bike rides! The backyard has a deck and furniture for relaxing, as well as a grill and a picnic table, and a firepit. The front porch also has furniture for some R&R time. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials. There is an electric fireplace in the living room for some added ambiance. The TV has Samsung TV Plus channels, or you can use the wi-fi and hook up to one of your own entertainment app profiles. brbrThis location is also ideal for winter stays, and a snowmobile trail runs near the property. Winter is also a very peaceful and quiet time to stay here. Stop your search, we are conveniently located near everything you will want to see or do while here - shopping, wine tasting, numerous restaurants favorites, lots of outdoor dining options, hiking, multiple beach options (closest is Frank Murphy Beach, a minute away), kayaking, zip lining, farm, petting zoo, kids activities, all a close drive. The vicinity surrounding Egg Harbor has THE MOST to offer travelers in the area as opposed to other towns in the Door. Plus it is the closest first major town from wherever you are coming from (as driving all the way up the Peninsula can add an hour extra drive time.) As soon as you hit Sturgeon Bay, just another 15 min until you can start unpacking :-) brbrThe 3 bedroom 2 full bath home is perched on a lofty ridge and boasts an incredible view of Green Bay. You'll look forward to sitting on the deck every night watching the beautiful sunsets or a storm rolling in! Spring blooms, summer winds, and fall colors are just spectacular here. Bring your binoculars and enjoy some boat and bird watching from the deck too. Set on 2.5 heavily wooded acres, the property is extremely private, with only a few neighbors on the lane. In addition, it is connected to 25 acres of forest also owned by the Kelleys – perfect for the tranquil, natural setting you’re looking for. Please note, if you are coming here to work on Zoom meetings all day, this may not be the place for you. Internet in Door County is not stellar. Get off the screens and get outside! :-)brbrLocation, location! We are located centrally in Egg Harbor, in between the downtown area and everything else the area has to offer. Everything you could possibly need is within a 15 min drive. Schartners Farmers Market is just a quick trip up the road about a mile so it is super easy to grab more of that milk you just ran out of or desserts you're craving! For anything else you need (that the downtown market may not have) Walmart is just 15 min away. The house is a 3-minute drive down the bluff to a wonderful beach at Horseshoe Bay's Murphy Park. Another beach option, Egg Harbor beach is about 5 minutes away. For the golfers, Horseshoe Bay Golf Club is across the street from Kelley Ln. Alpine Golf is also another close option. Plenty of shopping, antiquing, wine tasting, and great restaurants in Egg Harbor (less than a 10-minute drive away) and the neighboring towns. Lots of activities for younger kids within minutes - animal farms, kids parks, kid-friendly restaurants. Also, almost every imaginable outdoor activity is available in the local area. brbrUpdates for the 2018 season: All new mattresses have been put in for a more comfortable night's sleep. An additional patio set was also added for the front deck. The old grill was replaced with a new one. A washer and dryer has been added for your convenience. The interior has been freshly repainted. New Marvin sliding doors and windows installed facing the bay. Also, now providing linens and towels for guests!brbrUpdates for the 2019 season: New furniture pieces have arrived! There is a new couch with pull out bed in the living room, along with an adorable, comfy sitting chair. A new dishwasher was also just installed. The shared full bathroom now sports a new counter.brbrUpdates for the 2020/2021 season: Cleaning protocols include wiping down all hard surfaces with Lysol disinfectant and spraying furniture etc. with Lysol spray. We also just had the carpets all professionally cleaned. During the fall season, there will more than likely be a day, to multiple days, between guests booking. We are continually making improvements to the house, for a more enjoyable stay. From lovely homeownership duties like restaining the exterior, repainting the garage door, to more fun stuff like adding outdoor rugs to the decks to make it cozier! Also, we just put in a new refrigerator and have started updating some of the interior and exterior lighting. For now, the once very cool 70's linoleum stays :-)brbrUpdates for the 2022/2023 Season: We have a new cleaning service! They have been very dependable, we are so grateful. The mattress in the ensuite main bedroom has been upgraded to a comfortable king! We've moved the extra queen bed to one of the bedrooms. New dishwasher and glass top stove have also been replaced. Any old blinds have now been replaced. New curtains have also been added to one of the bedrooms. We now have a pretty good DVD movie library going for those end-of-the-day movie nights. Movies range from kid-friendly to not kid-friendly lol! We have a little library as well that includes adult and kid books. We now have a 65 smart TV for easy viewing from the living room and dining space. You can access Netflix etc. from here but keep in mind sometimes the streaming can lag, hence the DVD movies that are available if you lose patience. There is also cable available of course which doesn't seem to have slowness issues. We also put up a security cam on the driveway to help add a level of safety. The IHeart music app on the new smart TV will provide the perfect soundtrack to set the mood. The queen size bed in the private bedroom is nestled in a cozy nook with soft lighting and individual reading lights. Open the bedroom window and let the cool, fresh, bay air drift in as you cuddle up on the triple-sheeted pillow top mattress, or give into the guilty pleasure of watching TV in bed on the new LED smart TV. The bathroom vanity is separate from the brand new toilet and shower for an unhurried start to your day. If you happen to own an electric car, you can use the recently added charging stations for Tesla and other electric cars to explore Door County for free. If you need a break from Door County's fine restaurants and wine and cheese tastings, the full kitchen is equipped with an electric range, stove and microwave. Be aware that there are 5 steps up to the condo after exiting the elevator. Entry through the back entrance reduces this to one step up into the building. There is also the Carrington Pub and Grill on the property, with a new menu and under new management this year. The awesome outdoor deck at the Carrington overlooks the northern coast of the peninsula, and is there for when you don't feel like cooking or driving. An indoor pool and spa in the Charthouse is available when the weather is cold. If you happen to own an electric car, you can use the recently added charging stations for Tesla and other electric cars to explore Door County for free. But, no matter where you go, you cannot escape what is quite possibly the best view in Door County. Whether you are swimming in the pool, grilling bratwurst for the big game, having a sundowner on the porch, soaking in the hot tub, or simply enjoying the condo, nature will treat you daily to a beautiful sunset or a dramatic storm rolling across the bay.brbrThe Landmark is a four season resort, and Door County is a four season destination.brbrWinter - The Landmark has an overflow lot to park your snowmobile trailers. Our home is situated on 40 wooded acres that have wide walking trails throughout the hardwood forest. In addition, the 155-acre Door County Land Trust - Oak Road Preserve - is located directly across the road and offers almost 2 miles of walking trails. It's beautiful!!brbrPLEASE NOTE: VRBO has started using AI to update items such as amenities or attractions nearby without the Hosts approval. If you are interested in specific amenities please ask me (Becky) and I will confirm. The other day VRBO said I had a pool at our Boyer Log Cabin (I wish). Please respect our neighbor's peace and quiet and do not leave your dog tied to a lead outside barking all day. Please do not bring your dog if they are going to just sit there and bark; that's no fun for your furry family member or our neighbors. Thank you.brbrInside the home, you will find 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, one of each on each level. A King bed is located on the top level, a Full bed is located on the main level (where the kitchen, living room, Smart TV, and wood-burning fireplace are), and a Queen bed is located on the lower level (where the entrance off the driveway is located). Also on the lower level, you will find a couch and chair in another sitting area with another Smart TV. A bathroom is located on each level. A fully stocked kitchen with items needed to prepare meals, a large refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, salad spinner, blender, crock pot, propane gas stove, and dishwasher. A full Washer and Dryer are located on the lower level with Central Air throughout the home. Our WIFI is AT&T fiber optics and we have a CHARCOAL grill for outside use.brbrThere is a large great room with a field-stone wood-burning fireplace. The covered porch is just off the great room. Huge yard with fire pit and wooden chairs. This log home is one of the best ways to experience Door County, close to everything but secluded and away from it all.
