Our home is situated on 40 wooded acres that have wide walking trails throughout the hardwood forest. In addition, the 155-acre Door County Land Trust - Oak Road Preserve - is located directly across the road and offers almost 2 miles of walking trails. She especially loves launching herself off the dock to chase a ball or jumping in the boat as our boys head out to do a little fishing, so much she wears a lifejacket! She is so happy we bought this home for her... brbrWhile we do allow dogs, we have a strict one dog maximum. We are very sorry, but this is necessary to properly maintain our property for future guests as well as assist our cleaning service during guest turnover. Sorry, we cannot make any exceptions to this policy.brbrExperience our warm and inviting 2400 square foot (approx. 1,500 sf main level and 900 sf walkout basement) Bay Shore home located on a 3.3-acre heavily wooded lot set far back from the road with 200 feet of waterfront. The open concept main floor features a living room (20' x 15'), dining room (12' x 10'), kitchen (13' x 14'), master bedroom (14' x 13' with new Verlo queen mattress), 2nd bedroom (14' x 10' with 2 twin beds and pull out trundle bed), 3rd bedroom (12' x 12' with new Verlo queen mattress), full bathroom, and powder room. The main floor also includes a wood-burning fireplace set in a gorgeous stone chimney and sliding doors that walk out to a 14' x 53' elevated deck. Living room, dining room, kitchen and master bedroom all have amazing views of the Bay! It even has a nice sized screened porch (22' x 6') off the dining room facing the Bay and a 2 car garage for your use. Has forced air heat and central air conditioning. The living room also has a large screen TV with DVD player with local channel television stations.brbrThe walkout basement features a giant recreation room (15' x 36') with pool table, full bath, nice sized bedroom, gas fireplace and new carpet. Wall to wall windows and door leading outside provide great light and views of the Bay. In addition to the two twin beds plus trundle in the basement bedroom, the basement couch also converts to a queen sized bed. Basement has a laundry room with new high capacity washer and dryer. Basement recreation room also has a large screen TV with Xbox, Wii and local television channels. Recreation room has tons of space for the kids to play while the adults can enjoy peace and quiet upstairs!brbrThe large main deck has a patio table that seats 8 plus stairs to a lower deck that has a table with seating for 4-6 people. The main deck also has a nice sized area with Adirondack chairs. Both decks overlook the Bay. brbrThe property has a large grassy sitting area on the shore with a picnic table and a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs. The shore also includes a dock with both ladder and stairs for swimming and water fun! There is even a swing set with a slide, 2 kayaks and paddleboard for use by all guests. Life vests also provided! Do not tie kayak or paddle board to dock as this will damage our dock due to waves tugging on kayak/paddle board and therefore damaging dock. brbrVERY IMPORTANT: Guests cannot use our dock or boat lift to store there own boats. Any boat tied to our dock will very quickly damage our dock and your boat. The dock is not designed for boat tie ups. Egg Harbor Marina and Murphy Park offer boat ramps for daily boat trips.brbrWe hope you love Lulu's Bayside Retreat as much as we do. It is in a private setting, surrounded by trees, yet is within walking distance to the Egg Harbor beach and all the town has to offer. There are bikes in the shed you are free to use, and the connected country roads are great for bike rides! The backyard has a deck and furniture for relaxing, as well as a grill and a picnic table, and a firepit. The front porch also has furniture for some R&R time. Stop your search, we are conveniently located near everything you will want to see or do while here - shopping, wine tasting, numerous restaurants favorites, lots of outdoor dining options, hiking, multiple beach options (closest is Frank Murphy Beach, a minute away), kayaking, zip lining, farm, petting zoo, kids activities, all a close drive. The vicinity surrounding Egg Harbor has THE MOST to offer travelers in the area as opposed to other towns in the Door. Plus it is the closest first major town from wherever you are coming from (as driving all the way up the Peninsula can add an hour extra drive time.) As soon as you hit Sturgeon Bay, just another 15 min until you can start unpacking :-) brbrThe 3 bedroom 2 full bath home is perched on a lofty ridge and boasts an incredible view of Green Bay. You'll look forward to sitting on the deck every night watching the beautiful sunsets or a storm rolling in! Spring blooms, summer winds, and fall colors are just spectacular here. Bring your binoculars and enjoy some boat and bird watching from the deck too. Set on 2.5 heavily wooded acres, the property is extremely private, with only a few neighbors on the lane. In addition, it is connected to 25 acres of forest also owned by the Kelleys – perfect for the tranquil, natural setting you’re looking for. Please note, if you are coming here to work on Zoom meetings all day, this may not be the place for you. Internet in Door County is not stellar. Get off the screens and get outside! :-)brbrLocation, location! We are located centrally in Egg Harbor, in between the downtown area and everything else the area has to offer. Everything you could possibly need is within a 15 min drive. Schartners Farmers Market is just a quick trip up the road about a mile so it is super easy to grab more of that milk you just ran out of or desserts you're craving! For anything else you need (that the downtown market may not have) Walmart is just 15 min away. The house is a 3-minute drive down the bluff to a wonderful beach at Horseshoe Bay's Murphy Park. Another beach option, Egg Harbor beach is about 5 minutes away. For the golfers, Horseshoe Bay Golf Club is across the street from Kelley Ln. Alpine Golf is also another close option. Plenty of shopping, antiquing, wine tasting, and great restaurants in Egg Harbor (less than a 10-minute drive away) and the neighboring towns. Lots of activities for younger kids within minutes - animal farms, kids parks, kid-friendly restaurants. Also, almost every imaginable outdoor activity is available in the local area. brbrUpdates for the 2018 season: All new mattresses have been put in for a more comfortable night's sleep. An additional patio set was also added for the front deck. The old grill was replaced with a new one. A washer and dryer has been added for your convenience. The interior has been freshly repainted. New Marvin sliding doors and windows installed facing the bay. Also, now providing linens and towels for guests!brbrUpdates for the 2019 season: New furniture pieces have arrived! There is a new couch with pull out bed in the living room, along with an adorable, comfy sitting chair. A new dishwasher was also just installed. The shared full bathroom now sports a new counter.brbrUpdates for the 2020/2021 season: Cleaning protocols include wiping down all hard surfaces with Lysol disinfectant and spraying furniture etc. with Lysol spray. We also just had the carpets all professionally cleaned. During the fall season, there will more than likely be a day, to multiple days, between guests booking. We are continually making improvements to the house, for a more enjoyable stay. From lovely homeownership duties like restaining the exterior, repainting the garage door, to more fun stuff like adding outdoor rugs to the decks to make it cozier! Also, we just put in a new refrigerator and have started updating some of the interior and exterior lighting. For now, the once very cool 70's linoleum stays :-)brbrUpdates for the 2022/2023 Season: We have a new cleaning service! They have been very dependable, we are so grateful. The mattress in the ensuite main bedroom has been upgraded to a comfortable king! We've moved the extra queen bed to one of the bedrooms. New dishwasher and glass top stove have also been replaced. Any old blinds have now been replaced. New curtains have also been added to one of the bedrooms. We now have a pretty good DVD movie library going for those end-of-the-day movie nights. Movies range from kid-friendly to not kid-friendly lol! We have a little library as well that includes adult and kid books. We now have a 65 smart TV for easy viewing from the living room and dining space. You can access Netflix etc. from here but keep in mind sometimes the streaming can lag, hence the DVD movies that are available if you lose patience. There is also cable available of course which doesn't seem to have slowness issues. We also put up a security cam on the driveway to help add a level of safety. Perched on a breezy bluff overlooking Green Bay, this totally remodeled 1-bedroom water view condo in the Harbor building of the Landmark Resort exceeds resort standards with a full kitchen featuring new cabinets, stainless appliances, quartz counter tops, new carpet, tile, light fixtures and furniture. Dramatic lighting creates a serene, spa-like environment that perfectly sets the scene for a romantic couple's escape or a girls getaway. The IHeart music app on the new smart TV will provide the perfect soundtrack to set the mood. The queen size bed in the private bedroom is nestled in a cozy nook with soft lighting and individual reading lights. Open the bedroom window and let the cool, fresh, bay air drift in as you cuddle up on the triple-sheeted pillow top mattress, or give into the guilty pleasure of watching TV in bed on the new LED smart TV. The bathroom vanity is separate from the brand new toilet and shower for an unhurried start to your day. If you happen to own an electric car, you can use the recently added charging stations for Tesla and other electric cars to explore Door County for free. If you need a break from Door County's fine restaurants and wine and cheese tastings, the full kitchen is equipped with an electric range, stove and microwave. The refrigerator will chill your wine, freeze your margaritas, and the whisper quiet dishwasher will make cleanup quick and painless. Make lots of good coffee with the drip coffee maker or one perfect cup with the French press. A private, covered porch is the perfect place to sit and enjoy that perfect cup of coffee or share a sunset glass of wine. The condo looks out on the outdoor pool to the left, the gas grills forward, and the western shore of the peninsula to the north. The hot tub and steam room are located 40 steps down the hall (I counted them) and exit out onto a large outdoor deck with tables, chairs and umbrellas for larger gatherings. Be aware that there are 5 steps up to the condo after exiting the elevator. Entry through the back entrance reduces this to one step up into the building. There is also the Carrington Pub and Grill on the property, with a new menu and under new management this year. The awesome outdoor deck at the Carrington overlooks the northern coast of the peninsula, and is there for when you don't feel like cooking or driving. An indoor pool and spa in the Charthouse is available when the weather is cold. If you happen to own an electric car, you can use the recently added charging stations for Tesla and other electric cars to explore Door County for free. But, no matter where you go, you cannot escape what is quite possibly the best view in Door County. Whether you are swimming in the pool, grilling bratwurst for the big game, having a sundowner on the porch, soaking in the hot tub, or simply enjoying the condo, nature will treat you daily to a beautiful sunset or a dramatic storm rolling across the bay.brbrThe Landmark is a four season resort, and Door County is a four season destination.brbrWinter - The Landmark has an overflow lot to park your snowmobile trailers. Door County has an extensive system of snowmobile trails. Ice fishing is popular, with most fisherman catching whitefish (I caught more than my limit last winter). Peninsula State Park and Newport State Park both provide excellent opportunities for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and hiking. Nothing like a good meal, a glass of wine and a good soak in the hot tub at the end of a long day of cross country skiing. Many guests use the condo as a retreat to rest or focus on a big project - perfect for writing your novel or preparing for the big presentation.brbrSpring - Spring ushers in the beginning of the fishing season. Many of the tributaries in Door County provide good opportunities for Steelhead, and Brown Trout can be caught from the docks after ice out.. The Baileys Harbor Brown Trout Tournament provides early action in late April. And, of course, the cherry and apple trees explode with blossoms.brbrSummer - Festivals, shopping, eating, drinking, swimming, hiking, cherry picking, sailing, boating, fishing, berry picking .... The Door County Wine Festival is centered in Egg Harbor, and a free trolley conveniently stops at the Landmark to take you to and from the festival. brbrFall - The fall colors are the obvious attraction in Fall, but there is also apple picking, hunting, and somehow, the wineries are just better in the Fall. Real Door County aficionados appreciate the long shadows of Fall before the colors hit their peak and the stark beauty and crisp air afterwards. My wife and I have spent many early November wedding anniversaries in Door County with nothing but good memories.
