Text messaging is best for a quick response!brbrOur neighborhood is essentially a single-family-home hilly cul-de-sac, so it’s very private and safe. It is great for walking, with good lighting and sidewalks, beautiful landscaped yards and views of lake and mountains along the way. You will see all different styles of houses, from early 1920’s to Modern, from middle class family homes to waterfront mansions.brbrThere are a lot of excellent dining options in Northeast Seattle and University Village, and there are several parks and outdoor nature areas nearby. brbrWe are just a short walk to the Laurelhurst Park, which has a round 1.2 mile loop trail walk, tennis courts, playground, sports fields, beautiful mature trees and Community Center; Union Bay Nature Area which has several trails with views of Lake Washington and great bird and possibly animal viewing; and the Yesler Swamp with its recently constructed boardwalk to explore a marshy area where birds and beavers live.brbrThere is plenty of free, unmetered street parking, so having your own car is a good option. In addition, there are several buses nearby. However, please note that the neighborhood is quite hilly and walking to and from the bus stops tends to be up and down hills. brWe are about 0.5 miles from Children’s Hospital and it’s an easy flat 10 minute walk. brbrWalking or Uber or Lyft might be good options to the UW Husky Stadium and the Light Rail station which can take you further - to Downtown, International District or the airport. There are two buses just two blocks away which you can take to the U District and it's Light Rail station in less than 5 minutes. Uber Jump and Lime Bikes with electric assists are parked throughout the neighborhood. brbrYou can drive to Downtown Seattle in about 20 minutes, depending on the traffic (unless it’s rush hour).
