Whether you're planning a ski weekend, a fall foliage getaway, a summer adventure, or simply time away with family and friends, our restored 1840s Vermont farmhouse is a welcoming home base in the heart of the Green Mountains.

Located between Stowe and Waterbury, the farmhouse offers easy access to some of Vermont's best skiing, mountain biking, hiking, paddling, restaurants, breweries, and family attractions. Spend the day exploring, then come home to a warm, comfortable space full ofcharacter and history.

Featuring exposed post-and-beam construction, wide plank floors, radiant heat, and large windows throughout, the farmhouse combines authentic Vermont charm with modern comforts including fast WiFi, air conditioning, streaming TV, and a fully equipped kitchen.

As one guest put it, this is the coziest house in the world.

The house comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests and includes:

- 4 bedrooms
- 2.5 bathrooms
- First-floor king suite with private bath and tile shower
- Two upstairs queen bedrooms
- Upstairs bedroom with two twin beds and additional lounge space
- Spacious living room
- Open kitchen and dining area
- Mudroom for skis, boots, and outdoor gear
- Covered front porch
- Washer and dryer
- Fast WiFi throughout the house
- Streaming TV
- High chair, travel crib and baby gates available for families

One of our favorite features is the open kitchen, dining, and living space. Whether you're sharing a holiday meal, cooking after a day on the slopes, or simply spending time together, the farmhouse was made for gathering with family and friends.

When it's time to explore, you're perfectly positioned between Stowe and Waterbury. Waterbury is known for its outstanding restaurants, breweries, cider, and après-ski atmosphere, while Stowe offers even more dining, shopping, and outdoor recreation opportunities.

Outside, you'll find a large yard with plenty of room to relax, play, or enjoy a meal at the picnic table. From the yard you'll catch views of Mt. Mansfield, while several bedroom windows look toward Hunger Mountain and the Worcester Range.

Families especially appreciate the location. Hope Davey Park is just down the street and offers a playground, ball fields, disc golf, skate park, walking trails, and plenty of open space for kids to burn off energy.

The location makes it easy to enjoy many of the area's most popular attractions. Ben & Jerry's Factory and Cold Hollow Cider Mill are nearby, while Stowe Mountain Resort, Trapp Family Lodge, Waterbury Reservoir, and countless hiking and mountain biking opportunities are just a short drive away. Bolton Valley, Sugarbush, and Mad River Glen are also within reach for guests looking to explore more of Vermont's ski country.

Please note that this is a quiet residential neighborhood and is best suited for families, couples, and groups looking to enjoy the area. The property is not suitable for parties or large events.

As with many historic Vermont farmhouses, the staircase to the second floor is steeper and narrower than those found in most modern homes. Most guests have no trouble with it, but older guests or those with mobility concerns would prefer the first-floor king bedroom.

Several upstairs rooms also feature the charming sloped ceilings typical of a historic farmhouse. I am 6'1 and they are fine for me, but some taller guests may not prefer these rooms.

Children are very welcome. A high chair, travel crib and baby gates are available for guest use.

Please note that we have a strict no-pets policy.

We hope you'll enjoy the farmhouse as much as our family does and discover why we love sharing this special corner of Vermont.

We had a lovely stay at this well appointed farmhouse. It had a charming character and feel and was very welcoming from the moment we walked in. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped , and there are two separate sitting areas which was very nice. Would definitely recommend.

We picked this house for our annual girls weekend trip and we didn’t want to leave! The listing was exactly as pictured and described and Tyler was an extremely responsive host. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking multiple meals; beds were super comfortable; and location was excellent. We went to the wonderful coffee/tea place down the street multiple times and also to Barr Hill in Montpelier; to Stowe and the Von Trapp Lodge; and to Burlington. All within an hour’s radius! Loved this place.

Even though this is an older home, it's in wonderful condition - all the benefits of age and character, but none of the dusty/drafty drawbacks. Would love to come back to this house to explore northern Vermont with extended family - plenty of room to do so with the king bed down and two queens and a kid room up, and a well-equipped, spacious kitchen with lots of space to hang out - sadly, we didn't use it much since our stay was so short. It was also well-stocked, and my only wish would have been for some coffee for the first morning, as I've seen in other vacation rentals. The huge yard with swing set out back was fun for our 8-year-old son, and even though it's a rural area, it was a short walk to Cold Hollow Cider and the other business on the main road. Tyler even kindly let me park my new-to-me car in the garage - thanks!
