After the tank is emptied, the guest is required to fill it up as needed.brbrPlease note that there are stairs leading from the driveway to the house, spiral staircase to the loft and stair cases and walkways throughout the backyard which may pose difficulty to guests with disabilities. Please keep an eye on young children near all stairs and the creek. During the winter months it is recommended to use a 4x4. Being that we are set in the Smoky Mountains, you can expect to see some wildlife and ask that you do not leave food or trash outside or in vehicles. All trash should be placed in the metal trash can to prevent bears from getting in.brbrWe try to offer as much as possible to guests in our kitchen but accept that we may not have everything you need. We welcome you to travel to the local stores in our area such as Walmart and Kroger which are each about 15 minutes from our home.brbrWe offer HIGH SPEED INTERNET so that you can use multiple devices at the same time. We do not have cable for the TVs but all of them are smart TVs so that you can use any of your streaming apps on them. We just ask that you log out of them upon departure.brbrWe live in the mountains so there are lots of turns and curves in the road. In the event of snow we do recommend using a 4X4 vehicle to make driving a little easier.brbrPlease use stairs in back yard leading to the creek with caution. Steps may be slippery during rain or snow conditions.brbrBugs / ladybugsbrOur cabins are proactively treated monthly by a professional pest control service. Insects just find their way inside no matter what we do. Even after the cabin is cleaned, it takes only a few hours for bugs/ladybugs to appear. Of course they get trapped and die inside. This is especially prevalent in spring as they emerge and then again in fall when it gets colder outside. An expectation of completely insect-free environment is probably reasonable in a high-rise beachfront condo, but not in a cabin in the middle of the woods. Ladybugs (actually, Asian Lady Beetle) are harmless if not touched.brbrWasps / carpenter beesbrWasps try to make their nests, usually under the roof overhangs and eaves, and some may get inside and die. We try to keep up as much as we can but they are often much faster than us. Carpenter bees (big loud black bees) are harmless to humans – they make a lot of noise and may hover around humans, but they do not have stingers. They do however damage wood by boring holes in it. They rarely get inside the cabin.brIn addition to regular professional pest control, we also spray the cabins in early spring to deter the carpenter bees.brbrDuring the fall in order to keep up with leaves falling around the property, we will have our landscaper come out with a leaf blower to remove them from the driveway and decks.brbrPlease stay on all walkways, paths and stairs to prevent falls and to avoid damaging property and coming into contact with poison ivy.brbrPlease avoid walking on the stone wall in the driveway.brbrHot Tub Cover must be placed back on hot tub when not in use to ensure proper temperatures are met.brHot Tub is not in an enclosed area.brbrWild life. We love the Smokey mountains because of the rich wildlife that we have as neighbors. It is common to see bears, raccoons and other various animals while you stay at our place. Please do not interact with wild animals and do not leave any food or beverages outside for animals to eat. They will get accustomed to it and could harm them in the long run.

We do not issue refunds for weather or driving issues as this is well beyond our control.brbrThere is a floodlight camera on the exterior of the cabin to monitor the entryway. It lights the walkway for our guests, captures video of any wildlife that wanders near the cabin, and helps with weather monitoring and occupancy compliance.brbrWe love our furry friends, but out of consideration of those with allergies, we do not allow pets. brbrWe are in a very quiet area, however we cannot guarantee complete isolation from all noises.brbrThermostats are on a locked range of 65-75 degrees.
