This house, called Sea View, is a charming, traditional, ocean-side, beach house . It is one of the few historical cottages left on the island. The warmth and charm are there and we have up-dated and remodeled. It has five bedrooms and three full baths . Upstairs, bedroom one has a king, bedroom two has a queen and bunk, and bedroom three has a queen and twin. The downstairs apt has a queen in one bedroom and a small bedroom has a double bed. There is a double futon in the living area as well....all of this makes sleeping arrangements more flexible. Two additional, enclosed, beach showers are downstairs as well. There is a huge deck and screened porch with OCEAN VIEWS from all over the house. We are seven minutes from Wild Dunes, and 20 minutes from Charleston. The beach access is DIRECTLY in front of the house, and you are just seconds from the water! There is a private pool in the back yard and you are within WALKING distance of restaurants and shops!!!brbr'Sea View' is very charming and lends itself to a variety of needs with sleeping arrangements to accommodate 2 to 12 guests comfortably. The down stairs is actually an attached mother-in-law' s apartment which adds to its flexibility. WiFi included as well!brbrThere is off-street parking for 4 vehicles. The home is equipped with two separate living areas, fireplace, and large sun room, as well as washer/dryer. Features include tongue-and-groove oak walls and heart of pine floors. Flat screen TV's with cable are in just about every room!...and free wi-fi! A private swimming pool adds to the perfect location. There is a gas grill available, and if you have a pet (maximum of two), it is welcome with a pet fee per pet. Colorful and classy, you will find it fun and comfortable. With the cemented sidewalk beach access path right outside the back door, you will be at the beach in no time. Custom features like built-in bookcases, leaded custom stained glass windows, and updated baths & kitchen, this spacious home is ready for your vacation enjoyment.brAs soon as you walk up to the front door you catch a glimpse of the Atlantic and feel the salt air! The large east-facing deck features 2 separate areas furnished with two tables and chairs for dining, chatting, or a lively card game.brbrThe first-floor open living plan is light and airy with peek-a-boo views from the dining area and dining deck. The well-equipped kitchen has updated appliances, a stand-alone ice maker, a wine fridge, and plenty of room for meal preparation. There is also a gas grill on site. Six kitchen stools line the counter and the dining room with seating for 6, is right across from the kitchen. Large windows make this space wonderfully inviting. The open concept living room has plenty of seating for everyone to gather comfortably to watch a sports game or have a lively chat. There is a private en suite bedroom, with a Queen bed and TV on this floor too. The en suite bathroom has a walk-in shower. There is a half bath on this floor for convenience as well. brbrEnjoy the beautiful stained glass-lit staircase to the second floor, which has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. At the top of the staircase, there is a roomy bedroom with a King bed, TV, and a large Jack n Jill bathroom shared with a bedroom housing a Queen bed. The large primary King bedroom is on this floor with second-row ocean views and large airy windows. Enjoy cocktails while watching the sunset over the ocean from the private balcony.
