Unfortunately, there is no public transportation on Hilton Head, but Uber is readily available. Additionally, there are public bike paths and several bike rental companies nearby that deliver. It's fun to get around via bicycle, but you will still need a car. Uber and Lyft services are available on the island as well.brbrPort Royal Sound and Fish Haul BeachbrThe natural shoreline is quiet, and the shallow water is perfect for small children. This is a great spot to hunt for shells and sea life, as well as enjoy the natural surroundings. Bird watchers enjoy this side of the island and a bald eagle frequents the area. Please note, at low tide, the floor can be mushy or muddy in places - it is best traveled with water shoes (but still doable if you don't mind the squish). This is the shoreline of Port Royal Sound - if you are looking to boogie board or enjoy waves and fluffy sand, we recommend Islanders Beach or Folly Field Beach which are Atlantic-facing beaches about a 10-minute drive away.
