This lovely South Carolina unit called Sweetgrass, in downtown Beaufort, is on the street level of the carriage house one block from the Beaufort River. It has two bedrooms, one queen bed and one small full bed and one bath (connected to each bedroom), hardwood floors throughout, cable TV, and a fully equipped kitchen. Relax on the covered porch and furnished patio surrounded by 100 year old oak trees draped with Spanish moss and lovely gardens. brThis carriage house, recently brought back to life after many years of neglect, sits next to our home, Craven House. It truly is the best location in Beaufort, surrounded by stately mansions and rich history, allowing one to walk to restaurants, shops, museums and the waterfront park by the marina. It is an easy drive to Paris Island, the Sands beach in Port Royal and Hunting beach on the ocean.brLinens, including beach towels, are included. For more beaches check out Hunting Island State Park just 20 miles away and Fripp Island. There is tons of history in the area along with plenty of events. Check out the Water Festival and Shrimp Festival in the summer.brbrAs you walk inside you'll find a huge vaulted ceiling family room open to the sunroom. Plenty of seating on the leather couches and chairs to enjoy the natural light and views. There's a large dining table in the sun room to enjoy your meals and a desk with it's own view to accomplish any needed work. There's even a 2nd smaller porch as well. In the winter the fireplace will make things even more cozy. There's an accessible half bath off the family room.brbrThe master bedroom is downstairs with a King size bed and memory foam mattress, side tables, dresser, closets and a Smart TV. It's got a spacious bath with double vanity, separate water closet and walk in shower. Laundry washer and dryer are also located off the master bath.brbrUpstairs there are 2 bedrooms. One with queen memory foam mattress, dresser, closet and Roku TV. The other has two twin beds that could be pushed together to make another queen/king. It has a small dresser and closet as well. The upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom with a tub shower combo.brbrThe couches do not pull out but there are two foldaway memory foam twin mattresses and extra bedding for them in the master closet. These are easily moved to wherever they may be needed.
