My wife and I had a wonderful six-night stay in Baby Charles. The location was fantastic, making it easy to stroll into town for coffee, meals, shopping, and bars. Overall, the cottage was very clean. The bathroom and living room were bright and welcoming, simple and comfortable. We didn’t use the kitchen much, so I can’t comment, but it seemed well-furnished and ready for most cooking needs. The TV in the living room was nicely sized, but again, we didn’t use it. The beds were comfy, the linens were nice, and there were lots of plush towels. We also received a wealth of local information from books, magazines, and a custom-curated binder that gave us a more personal perspective on things to do, places to eat (and to avoid!), etc. The front porch was bathed in morning sunlight, and the comfortable seating made it the perfect place to start the day. It was great to have the beach towels, chairs, and cooler. We spent a couple of days on the beach even though it was almost mid-November. When we come back, this is where we will be.

We had a wonderful stay at Gretchen’s home. The communication with both her and her property manager, Melissa, was excellent. They were very responsive, kind and accommodating. The home was just the right size, comfortable, with onsite parking and conveniently located to both the waterfront and historic areas of Beaufort. There was nothing we needed while staying in the home that we could not find and there were lots of little extras provided so that we felt right at home.

The property itself was lovely, well-appointed and very comfortable. We communicated a few minor issues on arrival, and the owner was very quick to respond with apologies for the oversights. Walk to town was .5 mile. Property comes with a very detailed book on sights and restaurants which was helpful, as well as the State Park pass! We would stay here again.

A two bedroom bungalow is so cute! Spacious kitchen, formal dining room in the living room with two ample size bedrooms. The outside area is great for morning coffee. The street is a little noisy, but not bad. This is an easy and enjoyable walk into town. The neighborhood is really cute, lotta great historic and well kept homes.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Baby Charles! This charming cottage had everything anyone would want in a rental home. The enclosed porch was good for dogs, the bathroom was renovated and lovely. The cottage was clean, the beds were comfortable, the linens and towels were of great quality and the kitchen was very well stocked. We liked the books and movies and the adirondack chairs on the front porch. The beach chairs were good to have on our excursion to Hunting Island. We enjoyed walking to the waterfront and walking around The Point neighborhood. Like any historic district, there are many homes that are in excellent, truly beautiful condition and others that are in need of much repair. We would certainly stay at Baby Charles again. Beaufort is a great place for a vacation!
