It’s 4 miles to the beach, 2 miles from golf and tennis, 12 miles to the Heceta Lighthouse, 1.5 miles to City Lights Theater. There’s a lovely picnic basket on top the fridge for day trips.brbrWe are located in the busy Old Town restaurants & shopping district. Here are some parking tips! brbr1. I always try for street parking in front of the Bay Window building. If there isn’t anything immediately available, br2. then I park in front of the gazebo, or double park to unload. br3. Street spaces open up very frequently, and there are several side streets close to the building. The busiest time in Old Town (Bay Street) is the dinner hour, otherwise parking is generally easy to find close to the front door or on side streets.br4. Parking is readily available in the evenings, but if necessary there is additional parking in the lot in front of the Bodega Food & Wine Parlor. The spaces for First American Title are available after 5pm.brbrWe are currently on a waiting list for reserved parking, but even that is a block away. So I highly recommend parking on Bay Street for the most convenient parking. brbr(Re: Early check in - it’s important to pre arrange early check in for two mainreasons.First, to allow our housekeeping staff to work without interruption. Beach-front bonfires, cozy but comfortable units, wildlife viewing, stairs to the beach, good surfing, rooms for the dogs and kids to run and much much more!Unit # 2 is a duplex style cottage and is attached to one other cottage, so it may be possible to hear guests in the unit attached. We ask all our guests to keep this in mind and to be respectful. This quaint cottage is a studio with one queen bed, a *small* kitchen, and one *small* bathroom with a shower. The unit is well-kept & equipped, however it is simple and wind-swept. Please keep in mind that if you are looking for a luxurious getaway, this may not be the right choice for your stay. This unit is located right next door to a nice RV Park. While this does not seem to be a problem for most guests, we understand that it might be for others. Please be aware of this before booking. There is a ladder to access the beach *see photos* that we ask guests to use at their own risk and discretion. The ladder is not perfect, but is a permanent solution, as the levels of the sand/tides change depending on the time of day or season. Unfortunately, a longer ladder or steps are not feasible as they have been ripped away by the tide in the past. IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE: Cell Reception: Please be aware that cellphone reception can be very weak to nonexistent on the coast. Please plan accordingly. We do have wifi across the entire property, so calls and texts over wifi (i.e., FaceTime, and other apps that rely on wifi) are possible.

Searose Beach only has a handful of homes on it and the beach has limited public access near the Beachcomber. Often times the beach will be all yours. This stretch of coast is one of the most beautiful on the entire West Coast and we are located just a couple miles from charming Yachats, as well as close to the Sea lion Caves, Devils Churn, Yaquina Head, and many many other tourist sites. Dozens of hikes are nearby and great mountain biking roads as well as wild mushroom hunting spots abound.br
