One is a Ring doorbell on the front entry. Pressing the button will chime inside the house, but it also alerts the owners via the Ring app. We generally ignore those alerts as nine times out of ten it's a food delivery person. If we receive a second alert, we will often respond or at least see what's going on. The second camera is located in the garage entry and faces the driveway. We use it to monitor that service personnel (cleaners, pool guy, lawn guy...) visit the house on schedule. Rest assured, we never spy on guests. Mermaid's Dream encompasses a reversed house plan which is very common to many homes along the Outer Banks. This simply means that the living area, ie, kitchen, dining, and living room are located on the highest level.brbrOur second floor level of Mermaid's Dream includes a very large living area (great for entertaining) with flat-screen TV and DVD player. A large sectional couch and two chairs face the two 8' sliders for a magnificent view of the ocean. The dining area, open to the living area and kitchen, has seating for eight plus 3 seats at the island. The modern kitchen has all the cooking needs should one decide never to venture out to any of the great restaurants in the area. A coffee station with a Keurig coffee maker and a traditional drip coffee maker is right off the kitchen for your convenience. The pier offers fishing, food, shopping, arcade fun, and musical entertainment (bands perform during the nicer weather months). Within an 8-minute walk towards the Pamlico Sound, there is a huge arcade with laser tag and a mini golf course along with shops, restaurants, watercraft rentals, etc. within the same area. Comfort Zone is created as a home and not a rental property. In fact it was our vacation home where we have entertained many guests.
