Stunning Views, but Maintenance and Communication Fell ShortThe house itself is lovely with a functional layout, and the elevator was a huge plus for our group. We really appreciated the en-suite bathrooms for every bedroom, the dolphin sightings at sunrise, and the thoughtful touches like coffee and beach towels.However, the service side of our stay was disappointing. We booked for two weeks, and despite reaching out immediately about a rusted, unusable grill and missing hand towels, it took nearly a week to resolve. The pool was our biggest issue: despite clear communication weeks in advance about wanting it heated for our second Saturday, it wasn't usable until the following Friday. The pool remained sandy and the deck was cluttered with stacked chairs throughout our stay. While the host, Brian, was responsive, the actual follow-through from his maintenance and cleaning teams was lacking. We did receive a 300 credit for the pool, but it didn't quite make up for losing a week of a paid amenity.Trisha F

On the OCEAN, need I say more! Home is as described….would be outstanding for visiting family or families! My wife and I loved this short peaceful trip to Rodanthe! Owner Brian was on point with his communication. Beautiful home right on the beach & close to pier. The view was AMAZING! Fully stocked kitchen with an additional refrigerator on the ground floor for back up supplies. Floor plan was ideal for large group lounging on the top floor, yet bedroom suites, game room & hot tub allowed for smaller group connection. Perfect escape for our 20 something children, parents, and siblings. First time celebrating Christmas at the beach. We highly recommend booking yours! Would love to return each season.

Beach view from top floor was great. Ac was plenty cold. Parking was hazardous not enough room to maneuver the vehicles. Elevator was a great asset since some of us were elderly and a lot of help getting luggage and groceries to the kitchen and back down when we were leaving. Having the personal items provided was great. Our stay was great and we would recommend the Wave House highly

I would be remiss in not first mentioning how incredibly responsive Brian is from the time of booking to the very last day. The photos are accurate but really doesn't do the house justice. It is right on the beach and we enjoyed just hanging out on the deck on the top floor. There were 6 adults and it was great to have 4 bedrooms with king size beds and let everyone pick what suits them best. We had a few hiccups but none that would make this house less than a 5 star and Brian responded to everything faster than any other host I've dealt with. We didn't have the best weather for the first few days but it really didn't matter. The house is completely stocked and we were very impressed by the kitchen. I don't think there was anything we couldn't find if we needed it. The view is amazing and right on the beach. We were even lucky enough to see some dolphins! I've rented a lot of properties and the guide book to the Wave House that Brian provides is awesome. I downloaded to my home screen on my phone and everything you can think of was right at your fingertips. I would highly recommend this property whether it's with friends or family (yes, kids too), there' a great bunk room downstairs. We played a little competitive pool and listened to music. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and just listening to the sound of the ocean. Thank you Brian for being such a great host!

We have been visiting the Outer Banks since the late 80s and this is the best house, location and host we have encountered. The house was spotless and is perfectly appointed and has everything you can even think of to need. The location is perfect, you can almost throw a beer off the deck to your family on the beach. Brian and his team were incredibly helpful and responsive on any little question we had. Overall it was a fabulous week!!

Well where do I start. Paradise!!!!!!! From the moment we pulled in to your driveway to the moment we pulled out was pure paradise. My family and I were in awe!!! The weather was amazing and the views will be unforgettable. This was our first family vacation in years and we could not have picked a more beautiful spot. The Wavehouse was perfect for the kids who loved spending a week in such a beautiful home. Everything and I mean everything needed was there. Every room was spotless and your towel supply for the pool and beach was great. The beach chairs came in handy and they were used often to sit on the beach. Beds were comfortable and thank you for all the pillows. We all slept like babies…. Speaking of babies, the pack and play for my grandson who is 1 was perfect. The kitchen was my wife’s dream kitchen….. she could not get over the view while doing dishes. Dishes, pots and pans, baking trays and glassware unbelievable. The fireplace and hot tub so beautiful and relaxing in the evenings. I can’t say enough about your beautiful home and accommodations, my family a I thank you and your family for a wonderful experience and making our family vacation so very special. The Wave House was the perfect pick for our family vacation. We came from 6 states with ages 2 through 91! The house had everything we needed to feel right at home. We cooked every day and had everything we needed.The elevator was enjoyed by all. We are especially appreciative of the pier passes! Brian checked in often to make sure everything was good and he was extremely responsive to any questions we had. I would highly recommend a stay at the Wave House!!

We can’t say enough about how magical our stay was at this oceanfront property. From the moment we arrived, we were swept away by the stunning views—waking up each morning to the sound of the waves and watching the sunrise/sunset from the deck was pure bliss. The home was beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.The location is unbeatable—steps from the beach, yet peaceful and private. Whether we were sipping coffee while watching the waves in the morning or enjoying wine under the stars at night, every moment felt like a dream. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made the entire experience seamless from booking to checkout.If you’re looking for a place to truly unwind and soak in the beauty of the ocean, this is it. You could not ask for a better place. They have everything you need for an amazing beach vacation. Everything was very clean and organized. They have nice and new appliances. We will absolutely be back. The elevator definitely came in handy too. Thank you!!

This oceanfront home was amazing and came with all conveniences and necessities. All descriptions and photos fully accurate. The owners were the most responsive and helpful out of all the years we’ve been renting! Check in and check out was seamless. The elevator going to each level was a big bonus. I would highly recommend this beautiful home. You will not be disappointed.

Our family had a wonderful time at The Wave house. Everything is top quality. The kitchen is perfect to cook in. Lots of utensils, pans, spices, dishes, and glassware. The elevator works perfectly and is needed! The furniture is very stylish and comfortable and it was great being able to sit together at the dining table to eat and play games. The bedding & towels are nice quality. It was so nice not having to pack paper products, trash bags, or detergents. Loved the large TVs in bedrooms and living room. Home is very well laid out. The views are incredible and the outdoor furniture was great quality. The only let down were the mattresses and pillows. We like firmer mattresses and fuller pillows. House was very clean also. We really enjoyed our stay. Easy check in and check out. You will not be sorry if you rent this home!

Our family had a wonderful time! The place was clean and well-stocked. We loved the coffee set-up, the pool table, the hot tub. Host was responsive with any questions. Even though it was a bit chilly while we were there, the beautiful views meant we could enjoy our stay even while just hanging out inside.

The interior of the house is very nice, kitchen is well stocked, laundry room was very nice and the beach access easy. The only negatives were: the beds were hard, the photo of the outside exterior storage room, grill and bikes is dated. The storage room was a mess, the bikes very rusted but usable and the pool was very sandy. We paid for the heating of the pool and it wasn’t warm. The owner credited my account right away and gave us credit for a pizza dinner. All in all it was nice. A few tweaks on the cleaning and maintaining of the property would help.
