Welcome to The Beach Place! This 3 bed, 2 bath house was custom built in 2022 and combines the comforts of home with the luxuries of vacation. The home is spacious, bright and fully stocked to cover all of your needs. We provide a multitude of items to make travelling with little ones as easy as possible, including everything you'll need for the beach. Located just a few steps from the ICW and Veteran's Park, The Beach Place is central to the best of Oak Island.brThe Beach Place was just built in 2022 and has all of the modern amenities and finishes you would dream of. The kitchen, dining and living room has a spacious open floor plan with ample sitting for all guests. brThe living room has a couch, chairs and bench. There are some games in the TV console and the TV has access to all of the streaming platforms. brThe dining table seats 6 and there are 4 additional bar stools at the kitchen counter. The kitchen has a large pantry with some kitchen essentials and a travel high chair for children. brOff the living room are two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The front bedroom has a king sized bed, and the other room has a queen sized bed. Each room has it's own sound machine. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. brThe primary suite is in the back of the house and has a king sized bed, large walk in closet and en suite bath with dual vanities. The bathroom has a large shower with two shower heads. All amenities needed for babies and small children can be found in the primary closet. This includes a travel crib, slumberpod, bath seat and monitor. brOutside is the oversized screened porch with sno cone machine, magnetic tick tack toe board, and yard size connect four. The syrup flavors for the sno cone machine live in the pantry in the kitchen. brYou also have full access to the washer/dryer during your stay. brThe small garage is home to all of the beach amenities including wagon, two chairs, large cool cabana, 6 beach towels, 3 child life jackets, and a plethora of beach toys.

Though the cottage contains one full bathroom you will likely enjoy the oversized outdoor shower under the towering majestic oak tree from which the cottage is named. New for 2025 is a private lounging pool (2' deep) for your relaxation. brThe Bungalow is centrally located and is a 1/2 mile to the beach with direct beach access on 52nd, 55th and 58th Streets as well as a 1/4 mile to the Intracoastal Waterway. In addition, shopping, grocery stores and restaurants are within walking or biking distance. The island is very bike friendly and you can bike most anywhere you need to go, biking is the best way to see the island. Golf Carts are very popular and rentals are easy to obtain for your stay. We can provide rental information for you if needed. For a little longer trip take the NC Ferry from Southport to Fort Fisher and take in the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher and visit a Civil War era earthen fort. Oak Island offers several parks along the Intracoastal Waterway to fish, kayak or boat watch.brOak Island / Southport is a great area to relax and enjoy. From the over 16 miles of beach, the intracoastal waterway to the marsh areas it has it all. Kayaking, paddle boarding, great bike, - hiking trails, golfing, fishing, shopping and restaurants. Public boat launch is three blocks away. The still operational Oak Island Light House will guide you at night. Visit the Point for a one of a kind sunset. The beach at the access by the house is typically not crowded even on holidays. The sound access nearby is frequented by kayakers/paddle-boarders. brbrbrbrbrbrHistoric Southport and Wilmington are nearby (25 and 40 min respectively) with just over an hour drive to Myrtle Beach. Mid-June-Aug Sun-Sund stays only.brbrbrbrThe Space:brbrThe house has been updated with new flooring, living room furniture, and beds. An outdoor shower, picnic, charcoal and gas grill are provided. brbrbrbrBed linens and bath towels are provided with an additional fee built in to the booking. brbrbrbrBEACH TOWELS ARE NOT INCLUDED.brbrbrbrThere are a generally a few beach chairs available to use, but I advise guests to rent or bring their own.brbrbrbrGuest Access:brbrStorage area with washer/dryer.brbrbrbrBeach chairs (2-4), beach cart, and toys in the storage area are available for use at no charge. brbrbrbrA Weber 2200 propane grill is available in the storage area. A propane tank is provided and can be restocked at the convenience store on Middleton if needed. The beaches are not crowded and there is little traffic. The houses in the area are mostly vacation rentals, but there are a few permanent residents. You'll want to bring more for use throughout your vacation. brbrbrbrYour linens will be delivered in wrapped and labeled packages just prior to your arrival by a professional linen service company, and include sheets for all beds, bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths for each individual, kitchen towels and dish cloths, as well as bath mats. The house will have pillows, blankets and quilts. You'll want to be sure to bring beach towels!brbrbrbrGuests must be 25 years or older to rent the house.
