Stayed Aug 22, 2025THIS WAS AMAZING! The house was perfect 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked. It was right on the beach. We found some boogie boards. Everything was perfect. We will be staying again - there is no doubt. Thank you!

Stayed Jun 7, 2025Our family recently scheduled a week’s stay at Oak Island, NC through iTrip. Our whole family were extremely pleased with the accommodation. The beachfront property has been family owned since the mid-1970s and is well maintained. It is obvious that the owners take pride in their beach getaway. Being in such close proximity to the surf was a delight—especially to our grandchildren; multiple long treks daily would have been more challenging. Taking advantage of the outdoor shower to rinse off the sand before tracking onto the porch was utilized daily; the grandchildren put it to good use! And, the house’s screened-in porch facing the ocean made an ideal setting for board games and relaxation - a perfect spot for early morning coffee and conversation to plan the day’s activities. The three-bedroom set-up was ideal, and the open kitchen/living room was conducive for light-hearted family banter. A washer/dryer in the basement is idea: no noise intrusion upstairs. We wholeheartedly plan to reserve this welcoming rental again in the future!

Stayed May 15, 2025Absolutely loved our stay at The Appy Place — hands down my favorite spot on Oak Island! From the moment we arrived, it felt like home. The cozy, relaxed atmosphere made it easy to settle in and unwind. The screened-in front porch is perfection — it’s where we spent our mornings with coffee and evenings with a book or just soaking in the sound of the waves. One of the best parts? You can walk straight from the front porch onto the beach. No roads to cross, no long treks — just a few steps and you’re there. It doesn’t get more beachfront than this! Inside, the house is just as inviting. Comfy places to sleep, great spots to lounge and relax, and a kitchen that was fully stocked with everything we needed. Whether we were cooking in or just grabbing snacks, it was all so easy. And let’s not forget the amazing local food scene nearby! We loved grabbing açaí bowls from OKI Coffee House, had a great Italian dinner at Castucci's, and couldn’t resist a classic beach meal at Bob’s Dogs. A quick drive to Southport opened up even more incredible dining options. If you're looking for the perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and coastal charm — The Appy Place is it. Already dreaming of our next stay! ?

Stayed May 23, 2025This is truly a classic beach cottage just like I remember from my childhood. It was very clean and all of the beds were very comfortable. But the screened-in-porch is absolutely wonderful! We spent most of our time there including meals!
