These limited amenities include Solar Energy and an outdoor shower as weather may alter its availability. This cabin offers the use of an outhouse, a lean too and hut specifically designed to smoke meat during your stay.brLOCATIONbrLocated approximately 7 miles South of the Village of Penn Yan, the log cabin sits just off the main route on a wooded 6-Acre parcel of land on the East side of Keuka Lake. This lot is located on the side of a hill and approximately 1/4 mile from the lake. This property does not have access to the lake. We fall in the middle of the Wine Trail between Rooster Hill Vineyard & Weis. We are approximately 17 Miles from Watkins Glenn State Park, 7 Miles from the Keuka Lake Outlet Trail & 14 Miles from the Keuka Lake State Park. brACCESS brThe driveway to the cabin is a stone driveway that is marked with a wine barrel sign. The driveway is about 1/4 mile long that will take you straight to the log cabin. In the winter, we keep the driveway plowed, but we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. brAMENTIES/DISCLOSURES brThis is an Off Grid Log Cabin. It is truly designed for guests who are looking to set the electronics down, enjoy nature and live with basic amenities. If you desire more than the basics, we offer other rentals at neighboring properties that will accommodate those needs! brThe log cabin is heated by a gas fire place. It can be temperature controlled by a battery operated remote. Because this a true-log cabin, it holds the heat very well during the winter time! brThe cabin is only powered by Solar energy. Solar energy is limiting based on weather conditions. The solar batteries are able to turn on some interior lights, charge your cell phone & power the MiFi for internet. brWe have water on site during the summer time for guests to use an outdoor shower. The cabin is not plumbed. Bathroom is an outhouse brWe have a fire pit onsite, guests are welcome to use wood they find however we do not include split firewood. Our neighbors have split firewood stands you are welcome to purchase from and helps keep them happy! brWe have a smoker available for guest who would like to smoke meat. It is just the smoker itself, guest will need to bring materials needed to smoke their food. brWe have the cabin professionally treated by a local pest control company two times a year. Once in the spring & once in the fall. Although we are proactive in treating the cabin there is no perfect solution for a log cabin in the woods. If you can't handle the site of insects this rental may not be for you. Guest who stay during the winter, when it gets cold out the mice will try to get in. We do place traps out and remove anything we catch. Occasionally, that process happens while a guest is staying. If mice frighten you, this rental may not be for you. brWe are pet friendly, which means that other guests who have stayed have brought their pets here. We don't charge additional pet fees. At the end of the dock the lake is only 3 feet deep so it’s excellent for swimming. Everything in this house is new and very clean. We are a mile from downtown Penn Yan.

It sits on 144' of prime lake frontage with grassy yard for entertaining and a multi-level deck that wraps around the entire lakeside of home. brbrYour mornings can start on the covered deck with a cup of fresh coffee as you enjoy the spectacular sunrise as it rises above the vineyard lined hills across the lake and shines across the water. In the evening, light a fire in the fire pit and watch the moon set beyond the hills and shine across the lake as you sit at water’s edge. Our waterfront home offers privacy from our neighbors as the homes on both sides of us are on the other side of the road.brbrThe stairs down from the street lead you to the covered front porch with amazing lake views. From here you can step inside the main level or continue down to the large lower-level deck with comfortable seating and a grilling station. A few more steps down take you to a grassy yard on the water with lake access to a nice swim area as well as brand new large, wide L shaped dock for fishing, sunning, and mooring your boat. Also on the lawn is a fire pit with plenty of seating, a hammock for your afternoon nap, a large picnic table and 2 kayaks for you to enjoy. Per NYS law, life vests must be worn or on board when using the kayaks. We have several basic life vests to use but you may wish to bring your own to ensure a correct fit. Water shoes are highly recommended in Keuka Lake.brbrPLEASE NOTE: The Owners do keep water-crafts docked here and may come down to quickly hop on boat/jet ski and go out on the water. There is access on the opposite side of the house down to the boat house so owners may do so with very little interruption to renters.brbrViews of the lake abound throughout the house. The cottage has three bedrooms. Two are located on the upper level along with a full bath. One bedroom has two double beds and a comfortable reading couch. There is a queen size air mattress in the closet for guest use as well. The second bedroom has a king bed that can be separated to two twins based on your needs. Both rooms have beautiful lake views. brbrThe master bedroom, located on the lower level, has a king bed, wall to wall French doors overlooking the lake, and a master bath. The French doors lead to the waterside covered deck. brbrAlso located on the lower level is the kitchen/sitting area and a three-season room. All looking over the lake with wall-to-wall windows. There is a small couch with a full size sleeper sofa located in the sitting area and another full size sleeper sofa in the three-season room. Large flat screen smart TV on this level.brThe living room makes up the main level along with a ½ bath. The large new sectional sofa is also a queen sleeper with memory foam mattress. There is a large bay window overlooking the lake. Large flat screen smart TV on this level.brbrThe entire lower level has radiant floor heating as well as a natural gas blue flame thermostatic wall heater. The main level houses the whole home natural gas heater. All entire cottage is air conditioned with a mini split on each level. br brPlenty of off-street parking with space for a boat trailer if you put your boat in to moor on our dock. Public boat launch only 5 miles away in Penn Yan.brbrOur cottage is situated on the scenic bluff of Keuka Lake. East Bluff Drive is a quiet street and great for walking, running, biking and enjoying more lake views.
