The top floor is a beautiful-and-spacious Master Bedroom Suite that occupies the entire floor, and has a full bath and a walk-in closet. 2 Queen beds plus 1 full bed.brbrThe top floor Master Bedroom Suite is almost like an independent apartment on its own with dedicated work space that occupies the entire top floor of the house with windows on all 4 sides and with a door at the bottom of the stairs. There are cathedral ceilings, a large full bath and a walk-in closet.brThere is a queen size bed set in the sleeping area and there is a seating area with a love seat, comfortable arm chairs, a coffee table and side tables. Importantly, there is a work area in this Master Suite with a desk and a desk chair that our guests liked to use as a work area using the high speed internet. There is also second new Smart HD Fire T.V. on this floor ( in addition to the one in the living area on the lower floor.) And there is a large full bath attached to this suite lots of built-in storage shelves, a full size tub and shower, a large pedestal sink and a toilet. And the spacious walk-in closet in this suite seems to be liked by many of our guests.brbrThere is also a small fridge in this Master Bedroom Suite, and once you shut the door at the bottom of the stairs, you will have your privacy and independence from the rest of the unit which makes this floor almost like an apartment onto its self. This floor also gets a lot of sun and breeze from all 4 sidesbrbrThe lower/main level has Living/dining/kitchen area, 2 additional bedrooms and a full bath( in addition to the full bath in the top floor Master Suite.)brbrThe lower/main floor Living/dining/kitchen area is a very large open- concept space, and has a Living Room area with generous seating arrangements with a large cocktail table and a new Smart HD Fire TV with streaming capabilities and all kinds of apps. The dining area has an elegant 6 seater dining table that can be expanded and some dining chairs.brbrThere is a Breakfast Bar in the kitchen/dining area with 3 counter height chairs, a high-end GE Profile self-cleaning gas range/oven as well as a fridge, a dishwasher, a microwave, a toaster, a Keurig combo coffee maker with both the individual cup option as well as a carafe option and other kitchen essentials in the kitchen. brbrThe second bedroom on this floor is generously sized, and has an elegant queen size bedroom set complete with a queen size bed, a chest of drawers and 2 night tables as well as a work area that has a desk and an office chair. But the privacy and the independence that this suite offers from the rest of the unit below is something many of our guests valued highly. A beautifully renovated seacoast home conveniently nestled in Portsmouth’s Historic South End. brbrThe original 12’ x 33’ section was a “Fish House” in Strawbery Banke & Prescott Park in the 18th century and was moved to its current location in 1820. We carefully doubled the size of the house while maintaining the character and integrity of the original building. All the door hardware, nails in the floorboards, coat racks, fireplace tools, goose necks and handrails were made by a local blacksmith. The wide pine, hand-hewn boards that dress out the living room belonged to our builder’s Great Grandfather. The reclaimed bricks in our traditional Rumford fireplace are from a local mill building that was razed years ago. You’ll need to strike a match to light the burners on our original 1927 Glenwood stove. Between the skylights and windows, every room is filled with sunshine and bright light even on a cloudy day. Open windows and doors fill the space with sea breezes. The floors are soft pine. The kitchen cabinets, cherry bar, shaker style table and chairs are all handmade giving the house a very warm and cozy feeling reminiscent of days gone by but with an upbeat modern flair. There is a laundry room upstairs. The upstairs bathroom boasts a fantastic walk-in shower with Barber Wilson fixtures, excellent water pressure and a claw foot tub. The driveway accommodates two cars. brbrIn the summer our tiny backyard is a treat with a beautiful lawn and flower gardens. The gas grill is plumbed inline, so propane tanks are not necessary. Bring your own bikes or rent them in town. Ride across the new Memorial Bridge into Kittery, ME., ride out to New Castle, or pack a lunch and ride to the beaches of Rye and Wallis Sands. The road to New Castle, the Commons and the Wentworth by The Sea Hotel are all legendary. People walk, run, bike, and drive the route every day, year-round, with cameras in tow to capture the beauty. You will also find indoor and outdoor concerts, theaters, museums, harbor tours, and special events held in the beautiful, flower-lined waterfront parks.
