At the other end of the lake (a short 2-minute drive) you have full access to the Mountain Lakes amenities (lifeguarded beaches, outdoor community swimming pool, snack bar, basketball and tennis court in the summer). Amenities such as gas, grocery store, restaurants, etc. are 15 minutes away.brbrAre you itching to explore Mountain Lakes is a 4-season location. And, in the neighborhood, enjoy a motorless lake with canoes, kayaks and SUPS to rent, swimming platforms, beach and playground, ATV trails, mountain bike trails, tennis/pickleball courts, basketball court, pool, and - in the winter, a community sledding hill and skating rink. The Lazy Moose Log Cabin is perfect for a couple or small family seeking a comfortable spot to enjoy nature. Full kitchen with Carrera marble countertops and stainless appliances, bathroom with custom tile surround, three well appointed bedroom, and fireplace. The cabin is situated on a quiet side street with only one house in sight. This cabin is in the Mountain Lakes community which offers many amenities including: outdoor pool, two lakes, beaches, boat/kayak rental, tennis courts, basketball court, lodge, sledding hill in the winter, and frequent fireworks at the lake. The cabin offers TV, DVD player with many titles, wifi, unlimited local and long distance (domestic) calling, books and vintage games. Get truly unplugged and remember what it used to be like to relax. There is no cell phone reception, however you may be able to dial using the wifi. There is a small convenience store/gas station within walking distance that offers pizza and subs (delivery in the summer). Guests will have access to the entire cabin, with the exception of the basement & garage. Guests will need to access the cabin by the door on the 1st floor, which is on the left side of the cabin. The basement is currently being remodeled and houses the washer and dryer which may be accessed by the housekeeper periodically, as needed. Additionally, the garage has many of the owners belongings in it and may also be accessed by the owners throughout your stay. You will not see any neighbors while on the property. The housekeeper will come by every couple days to maintain the hot tub to ensure it is clean and clear for your enjoyment. We communicate by email, text or phone, and every guest receives full directions, key instructions and guest packet with info about the house and area (where to shop, eat, things to do, etc.). We are always available should something come up during your stay, and our housekeeper and caretaker live nearby. You need a car to get around, and AWD is advisable in the winter. The area, including the driveway, is quite hilly. Don't come up in the winter on bald tires! This house is very private, but close to all the White Mountains have to offer. Only 25 minutes from Downtown Littleton, Lincoln, Loon Mountain, Franconia Notch State Park and Cannon Mountain Ski Resort. And within 45 minutes of many more lovely New England towns and ski resorts that we personally love to visit whenever we stay here. You can walk to the two lakes and private beaches. Activities in every season - Hiking (amazing hiking!), swimming, fishing, boating, biking, skiing, snowmobiling, gold prospecting in the Wild Ammonoosuc River.
