Beautiful Year Round House On Sunset Side Of Elk Lake.

Our wonderful vacation home is on 135 feet of gorgeous Elk Lake. It is located on the dead end of a small private road and heavily landscaped to create maximum privacy. We have a small sandy beach perfect for the kids, spectacular swimming off the dock, the best sunsets, and what we feel is the perfect location. We are 6 miles from the cute village of Elk Rapids on Lake Michigan, 23 miles from the Traverse City Airport, and just over an hour to exploring the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore to the west, and Charlevoix/Petosky/Harbor Springs attractions to the north.br Our cottage is uniquely positioned just yards from the water. We love the close proximity of the shore, dock and hoist to our kitchen and deck as well as the sound of the water at night from our bedroom.br As our photos show our ground floor living space is completely open between our large family, kitchen and dining areas. This has facilitated so many great memories with everyone of all ages congregating in the same area whether playing games, watching tv/movies, listening to music, cooking or dining..On cooler evenings the fireplace and it's wood burning insert make ir all cozy. We also have a portable brass firepit for evenings on the beach for marshmallows or smores.br Our ground floor master bedroom is located off the kitchen with windows looking out the beach and lake. It has a queen bed with a large walk in closet. It also has an oversized bathroom and shower which accommodated the first owners wife's' disabilities. Sliders out the side lead to a covered grilling area between our house and the garage. This makes easy access between the kitchen and the gas grill and/or Big Green Egg smoker.br The second floor holds three bedrooms. At the top of the stairs is a large bedroom overlooking the lake that sleeps four with two twins and trundle beds beneath. It has it's own ensuite full bath.br Across the hall is a nice bedroom with a queen size bed. It shares a full bath off the hallway with the fourth bedroom that is over the garage at the end of the hallway. It is a very large room with four twins and sitting area.

In the summer, you can hike or bike the Seven Bridges Nature Area or head to Shanty Creek Resort for snow sports in the winter! brbrInside the house boasts 4 inviting bedrooms. Lower-level room includes 1 queen bed with a half bath next to it for guests to enjoy. Upper level includes primary room with 1 king bed and an attached bathroom with a soaking tub and a separate stand-up shower. Upper level also has a second room with a queen bed and a third room has full bunk beds. (There is a trundle bed for use, it's just hard to pull out). The third bathroom is also on the upper floor which includes a tub/shower combo. Amenities like a hair dryer, towels and toiletries are also included. (There is a pull-out couch in the game room seating area. If you'd like that pulled out beforehand, please let us know)! brbrThere is also plenty of room for all to spread out! You can sit peacefully in one living room and watch TV or sit in the other and enjoy a book or drink by the fireplace. Coming off the lake or having a rainy day, you can play a round of pool or use the shuffleboard in the large game room. There is also a cozy sitting area in the game room if you want to feel like part of the fun or just feel like resting! The all-seasons room is also there for storage or to use as another seating area. This home is on the ideal south end of Torch Lake, which is one of the world's most beautiful lakes--a sandy bottom, crystal clear water plus amazing turquoise and deep blue tropical colors the deeper it gets. On this property, it is shallow enough to enjoy walks from the shorefront all of the way to the drop off (you can literally walk for approximately 1/2 mile to the drop off, which is where it finally gets super deep), or just hang out in the water gathered around the large dock and enjoy time together swimming, playing games or just floating in this beautiful clear lake. brbrSun rises to the right and sets to the left--both times of the day, making for a beautiful view. If not in the water, sit on land, relax and enjoy the view from the spacious front yard & patio or the newly renovated large dock. Lastly, if you would prefer to be inside (or the weather forces you to be inside), enjoy the nice view from multiple gathering areas, where you can relax, play inside games or just watch TV. brbrThe yard has plenty of room for the kids (& adults) to run around and play games or just hang out. brbrIf renting a boat, it is not too shallow to bring it to the dock to load up the crew for a day of boating.
