A private outside shower under a big tree makes showering and rinsing off the sand fun. Enjoy meals outside under an umbrella on our wood deck while looking at sailboats in the bay. Just a short walk to out neighbors flagpole, our shared access path takes you down the wooden steps to a private Pocomo beach. Calm water is perfect for young children to play on the beach all day long. Catch tiny minnows, float around the refreshing bay water or go for a long swim. We are 8 miles or 20 minutes from town, and 15 minutes from Siasconset market. We are away from the hustle and bustle of town, minutes from the bike path and bus stop. Wauwinet Resort is just down the street ($2,000 a night). This is truly paradise with your family. The old local gas man described our cottage as the last of the Mohicans. Our home has been in our family for over 50 years and has many of its original charms. Memories are made here and the quintessential Nantucket experience is what our cottage is all about. Our home is on a private, 3-acre property ten minutes from town, and very close to a shuttle bus stop and the bike path. We are a mile and a half from a pristine, secluded beach. Guests rave about the two large living rooms, the well-outfitted, gourmet kitchen, and the fact that large groups can spread out (with everyone finding their own special niche spot), but even small groups find the house warm and inviting. Each of the five bedrooms has its own beautifully tiled en suite bath, and there are two half baths off the 'public' rooms. brbrThe huge master bedroom on the second floor boasts a king bed, a private covered deck, and a spa-sized, luxurious, tumbled-marble bath with a jacuzzi tub, from which there are beautiful views across Tom Nevers and out to sea. The master bath also has his & her sinks and a large two-person, glass-enclosed shower with double shower-heads and multiple wall jets.brbrTwo of the bedrooms on the first floor - one with a king bed, and one with a queen bed and a futon -are off a large, private hallway. Both rooms are large (particularly the king), and could easily serve as second 'masters' when two or three families vacation together. Another bedroom with two twin beds is off the living area. Bedroom #5 has a queen bed and is on the second floor.brbrThe 'Living' Areas: The living room features cathedral ceilings, high gable windows, a wood burning fireplace, and French doors out to the deck, which is equipped with table, chairs, umbrella, gas grill and an outdoor shower.
