Welcome to our beach house! We have enjoyed many years in our sandy retreat and hope to share it with you as well. Located in the White Horse Beach section of Plymouth, a unique collection of homes built directly on the dunes of one of the most popular and sandy beaches on the South Shore. Our house is located just one house back from the beach with great views of the blue water and only sixty feet from the deck to the beach stairs.brWe hope you will visit our home and enjoy it the way we have as a family for decades. We certainly understand that you are visiting to enjoy the beach, relax and spend time with family and friends, however we would like to make clear that our home is surrounded by family homes and we are not a party house. We truly hope you enjoy your time with us, but it is very important to us that our guests are respectful and courteous to our neighbors and respect their privacy and enjoyment of their time on the beach, as we know you would expect from them during your vacation. brThe home has four bedrooms, three with queen beds and one with a twin, providing comfortable arrangements for up to seven guests. Two of the queen bedrooms are located on the first floor, along with the full bathroom. There is a sitting area with television and DVD off the first floor kitchen, along with an expandable dining room table. From here you can head out the back door and onto our large deck. With views of the ocean to both the north and south and surrounded by beach grass, this is the perfect place to gather the family, catch some sun, share a cocktail or just relax with a good book. The deck has outdoor dining arrangements, a Weber Grill and steps from the deck onto the boardwalk leading to the beach. brHeading upstairs you will find a large living room area with couch, love seat and television. This open area is great spot for the whole family to gather and relax. Off the living room are two more bedrooms, one with TWO queen beds and excellent ocean views and the other with a twin bed. The house is cooled by two window A/C units, one on each floor.brWe provided two deeded parking spots for the house located a short stroll back down the boardwalk onto Taylor Ave. br

Wonderful cross-breeze and ceiling fans as well as central AC. brbrThree bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. (A king, a queen, and two twin beds upstairs and another queen downstairs.) Two full bathrooms. In addition to the main living and dining rooms, there is a livingroom downstairs -- great if you want to send the kids down to play! :-) brbrThe kitchen is fully equipped and has brand new refrigerator and stove. There is a grill on the deck overlooking the water.brbrOur neighborhood beach is 3 blocks north. It is called Indian Brook Beach Association and is a nice sandy beach that is never too crowded. For something even closer, you can access the water from the grassy area just north of our house. (A great spot if you want solitude.) Plymouth has lots of public beaches if you want to explore further afield.brbrMy favorite restaurants downtown are The New World Tavern, Wood’s Seafood, The Blue-Eyed Crab Grille, KKatie's Burgers, and Blue Blinds Bakery. Marshland Restaurant and Bakery (at the intersection of Old Beach Road and Route 3A is my favorite place for clam chowder).brbrIf you are interested in history, Plimouth Plantation offers historical reenactments. A more light-hearted approach is available with the nighttime cemetery tours. (I like The Dead of Night Cemetery Tour. A bit corny but fun -- even for kids. Despite the name, it’s offered in the early evening). Plymouth Whale Watch is a good company for seeing whales. The Pirate Cruise is great fun for younger kids. (Two bedrooms and 2nd den are in the finished walkout basement with windows, and the master bedroom is on the main floor where kitchen, bathroom den and sunporch are located).brbrHardwood floors upstairs, ceramic tile downstairs, large kitchen with breakfast bar, and a bright open floor plan with plenty of windows and natural light. Complete with central air, gas grill, WiFi, and a new washer/dryer. The best feature of all is the large 26 ft long deck, which sits high among scattered trees and is just 12 ft from the shorefront. The back of the house is west facing, meaning it receives maximum sunshine and overlooks incredible sunsets on the water. brbrThe peaceful, crystal clear, 36-acre, 24-foot deep lake is great for swimming, kayaking, fishing and is the third cleanest body of water in Massachusetts. The gradually sloping sandy lake bottom is great for children. There is also a beautiful sandy beach on the lake with picnic tables, available only to those staying on the pond. If you prefer the ocean, Scusset Beach State Reservation in Bourne is just a 15 minute drive. This home comes with a canoe and kayak, and there is a hammock waiting at the edge of the water. brbrPlenty of stores and restaurants just ten minutes away on Cranberry Highway, and a country store (Sandy Pond Campground) just a half mile from the home. Close proximity to Onset and Plymouth waterfronts/downtowns, with a wonderful selection of restaurants and bars. The house itself is located on a very quiet residential road.brbrAttractions within 5 miles of the cottage: biking and hiking through Miles Standish State Forest; golf courses including the Atlantic Country Club 1 mile away; Water Wizz water park; Buzzards Bay; the ocean at Scusset Beach; the Cape Cod Canal bike and walking paths.brbrEnjoy a family cookout followed by a beautiful sunset while relaxing on the deck after a day swimming, kayaking, walking nearby nature trails, or or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake and all the Plymouth area has to offer.brbr*Rentals are from Saturday to Saturday. It's perfect for group family outing or a group of couple looking to get away. We have 135 foot of ocean frontage for fires on the beach. This was purchased for my family, friends and relatives. We've had 5 couples stay and have had birthday gatherings for 40 people. It's a beautiful space for entertaining or getting away.brEnjoy the master bedroom with balcony and listen to the ocean while you work (as I'm doing while typing this listing). It's a gem. The main level includes an open floor plan with updated kitchen that opens to living room with sweeping ocean views. There's also laundry, a half baths and closets on this floor. There are 2 doors that access the deck and back yard.brThe upstairs includes a remodeled master with balcony and 4 additional bedrooms. There's also a full bath upstairs, in addition to the master bath.br There's an outdoor shower off the patio in the side yard. There's a basketball hoop outside. Enjoy it as if it's your own, and please treat it the same. We have a paddle board and a bunch of beach games for you to enjoy. Please treat this property as if it's your own. We're on septic so want to be gentle with sand in the house (and in the sink, etc) and toilet paper only in the toilet. We encourage outdoor showers because they're really nice, but it's also easier on the septic system.
