The Middle House is a two-story gem two blocks from Main Street and two from the Inner Harbor. The bus station is two blocks away. Ferries are just four and six blocks away. The airport is just a bus or taxi away. If you have a car, we have one parking spot for you. Many, many guests are very happy without one. They walk, bike, bus, or rent a motorized or 4x4 vehicle. There are lots of options. brbrThe outdoor space is shared with The Front House ID# 3421540. It has four Adironkdak Chairs, a grill, and a small picnic table. Each house has beach chairs and umbrellas provided for them. The grass is nice and thick here. The space is not very big, but no one has complained. brbrThe galley kitchen is bright and open. A marble counter allows conversation between the cook and those in the lovely sitting area. There is just enough cooking equipment to make pasta, salad, steak, and egg meals. The four-burner stove, Meile dishwasher, two refrigerator and freezer drawers, and large farmers' sink make this an easy place to work in. Three stools on the counter make this a great workspace. brbrThe living room and kitchen are downstairs. Two high-back chairs and a seat are centered around a coffee table. A smart television is mounted in this area. The loveseat opens up to become a pull-out bed. brbrThe stairwell brings you upstairs to an open bedroom without a door. The two windows' water side allows the light to come in, and black-out shades make it lovely to sleep in. There is an eve in this upstairs bedroom where the bed lives. It's perfect for two end tables, a dresser, and a queen bed. A small closet is tucked in the corner. brbrThe upstairs bathroom has bosch washer and dryer on one end and a glassed in shower in the other. The bathroom was rebuilt in 2023 with pebbled flooring in the glassed-in shower. There is a new vanity with a single sink and mounted magnifying mirror. It is quite pretty. brbrTwo full bathrooms and a queen bedroom upstairs. The HVAC system cools and heats. Reading lights, books, games, Wifi, and a smart television are all provided. And the art! This is a clean and well-stocked magical spot for you.brbrDue to the shared space and a long-term guest who fears animals, we ask that you do not bring or have visiting animals on the property. brbrWe have written a contract to ensure all guests in the three rentals have read and signed it. You can get to either by bicycle in twenty minutes via bike path. brbrWe are happy to loan our bicycles to guests! That said, the bikes are occasionally out for repair since they are heavily used, and in that case, we recommend Easy Riders, a 10-minute walk away for rentals. We love our house and live & work here off-season so we've made sure it has all the creature comforts one would expect, including 2 new King Size luxury mattresses, High Speed Internet (1 to 2 GBs), a Playstation 5, 55 TV, Large Deck, High End MHP Gas Grill, a level 2 Chargepoint electric car charger, air conditioning (mini-splits) and more. We also have a large fenced back yard (should you have dogs) which the back deck overlooks. brbrWe're two houses away from the Linda Loring Nature Preserve which has a private path through rolling fields to 40th Pole Beach. Our neighborhood is surrounded by tall pine trees so at night, you hear the gentle breeze whooshing through the branches along with the sound of ocean waves. It is serenity at its finest, especially when sitting out on the back deck, staring up at the pitch black starry sky. You'll also likely see many deer and bunnies that make the nature preserve their home.brbrThe house is on a quarter acre fenced lot should you have dogs (or kids) you'd like to let play outside. It's on a 2 acre grove - sort of like a cul-de-sac with woods at the center - so you'll see kids riding bikes in the street or people walking their golden retrievers. It is a very safe, very family friendly quiet neighborhood. brbrThe house has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 1740 square feet, with an open concept floor plan, including living room/dining room with vaulted ceiling, washer/dryer area, half bath.brbrThe living room has 2 large couches, a 55 OLED TV with High Speed Wi-Fi/internet (1 -2 GBs), all the big streaming apps, and a Playstation 5 with plenty of games. It also has a large dining table that seats at least 6.brbrThe kitchen is fully stocked with Le Creuset pots/pans, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator with ice maker. The outdoor deck includes two gravity chairs, dining for six, a high end grill and an outdoor shower.brbrThe first floor master bedroom has an organic latex King Size mattress and en suite bathroom with shower. The second floor bedrooms share a bathroom with bathtub and includes a new King Size Beautyrest Harmony Lux mattress in one room, and a bunk bed and queen in the other.brbrThis property comes with rights to use the Fishers Landing Association tennis courts and basketball half-court. brbrNearby Madaket Harbor and Eel Point are perfect for boating, sailing, or fishing. And be sure to visit Scallop Beach (scallops and seagulls abound). The sunsets at Madaket Beach are spectacular and in the summer, the Madaket Beach parking lot fills quickly, but it's a 15 minute walk through back roads so you can enjoy the sunsets and avoid the traffic. brbrClose proximity to 40th Pole Beach, Madaket Beach, Scallop Beach (Madaket Bay), and The Head of the Plains beaches, the bike path, the shuttle stop (FREE bus rides to town and around the island), Millie's restaurant, Smith's Point, and famous west end sunsets! With town Historic District and the modern Stop & Shop about 4 miles away, you'll be close to shopping or dining out in world-class restaurants.
