This large and dramatic custom-designed tri-level coastal contemporary home in Katama offers a luxurious and spacious retreat for guests. The open floor plan, soaring cathedral ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling walls of glass create a captivating ambiance. The property is located in a high-end neighborhood within walking distance to South Beach, making it an ideal location for beach lovers.brThe highlight of the property is the beautifully landscaped backyard, featuring an oversized 18x40 heated saltwater pool with a bluestone surround, lounge chairs, and a fire pit. Guests can enjoy days at the beach and return home to swim in their private pool. In the evenings, they can gather around the fire pit, cook smores and gaze at the beautiful starlit sky.brThe house can comfortably accommodate two families with its four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms are master suites with private bathrooms, while the fourth bedroom has its own bathroom (just not ensuite). Each bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer for guests' convenience. The bedrooms are furnished with large flat-screen TVs. The beds will be made and ready for guests upon arrival. We use a Professional linen rental company that has the equipment, expertise, and processes in place to ensure that your linens are clean and in good condition. Multiple large wrap-around decks on all levels offer great outdoor space for relaxation and entertainment. The 32' high great room with vaulted ceilings and a large screen TV serves as a central gathering area. A beautiful marble fireplace with a large screen TV creates a focal point from both the living room and dining room. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and all the necessary kitchen essentials. It features a breakfast bar with stools and is open to the dining area, which seats 10 people. In addition to the main living areas, there is an additional first-floor family room with a large flat-screen TV and a wall of glass that leads to another private deck. This deck opens directly to the saltwater heated pool, providing easy access for guests. Towels and beach towels are provided for guests to enjoy their beach outings.brThe property includes a garage for storing bikes and other items guests want to keep safely indoors. A large circular driveway with beautiful gardens completes the exceptional features of the property.brThe location of the property in Katama offers several advantages. Steps away from the Sengekontacket Pond boat landing where you can launch your boat, kayak, or paddle board and spend the day at State Beach and check out the “Jaws” bridge. Don’t like crowds The house is a short 5-minute walk to a quiet, sandy, Senge beach. Located on a safe and quiet street that kids will love riding their bikes on, or perfect for a run or leisurely stroll. brbrThe living room includes a gas fireplace, 3 couches, and a flat screen TV with Hulu cable and Roku to stream your favorite shows from your streaming providers, and a DVD player. There is a full bathroom on the main level and one bedroom furnished with a comfortable king-bed and TV. There is a 2nd king-bed bedroom on the second level as well as a 3rd bedroom with a twin-over-full bunkbed and a queen bed. Each bedroom includes a flatscreen TV with Roku. The second floor loft has a wood fireplace, flatscreen TV with Roku, and a DVD player. The loft also has a sleeper sofa for added sleep space, a shelf full of board games, and a chest full of DVD’s for adults and children alike. A second full bath completes the second floor. brbrThe kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and utensils, microwave, stove/oven, full size dishwasher and refrigerator, toaster, and a Keurig and traditional coffeemaker for coffee lovers. There is also a full size washing machine and dryer off the kitchen - no need to travel home with dirty laundry! brbrThe dining area offers table seating for 6 and 2 bar stools at the island for more casual meals. brbrThe large deck off the kitchen is a great place to sit in the evenings and have dinner or a cocktail (or both!) and take in the stunning views of the Sound or play yard games on the beautifully manicured front lawn.brbrOn the stamped concrete patio on the side of the house you’ll find the outdoor shower, gas grill, additional seating for dinner, lounge chairs, and an outdoor fireplace. brbrYou’ll be fully connected throughout the home with high-speed WiFi. brbrThe house is located near the heart of Edgartown – a short 2 mile car or bike ride to restaurants, shopping, and State Beach. brbrFAQs brHow do I make a ferry reservation brWe recommend you contact Steamship authority to book your ferry reservation as soon as we confirm your rental reservation. If you plan to bring a car over, please keep in mind that ferry reservations to/from the island fill up quickly so it’s very important to reserve your space as soon as you can.brbrWhat do I need to bring/what is provided brWe ask that people bring their own bed linens for their stay. Keeping in mind that there are 2 king beds, 1 full, 1 twin and 1 queen. Also, we ask that you bring bath, beach and hand towels. There is a washing machine and dryer for your convenience. If you prefer to use an on island linen service, we recommend Martha's Vineyard Linen and Rentals. You will need to bring all paper products including septic safe toilet paper.brbrWe provide comforters and lightweight blankets, hand soap in each bathroom, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, kitchen towels, bath rugs, laundry detergent, and garbage bags. We also supply a blow dryer in each bathroom, an iron and ironing board in the 1st floor coat closet off the living room, 2 beach chairs, 1 beach umbrella, 2 kayaks, and 1 paddelboard. brbrDo we need to check in somewhere before we go to the house brNo!
