Stayed Apr 24, 2022Fine house a short (10 minute) walk from the beach. Very quiet. If you are prepared for Chappaquiddick - keep in mind there are no commercial establishments there - you will like it a lot and want to come back frequently. Please note that while in addition to the main house there is a detached house that can bed up to six extra people, it does not seem to have its own bathroom or heat. Three nice bedrooms in the main house.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My family loved this house. There was plenty of room for 6 adults of 2 different generations to be together and to also have privacy. We especially loved sitting and chatting or reading on the front porch and taking the short walk to Katama Bay in the early morning for a swim and a walk on the beach. We could also walk to Wasque Reservation and the beach there. The furniture is very comfortable without being so fancy that you're afraid to use it. The kitchen had everything we needed and the master bedroom especially is beautiful--with a view of the water. And we liked sitting on the back deck, using the barbecue, and watching the sunset. The owner Judy was very helpful in answering questions. I highly recommend this rental.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My family and I had a great time at this house. It had everything we needed. Space and close to the beach!.We picked blueberries for pie, waffles and pancakes. The kids loved the ping pong table and there were pails and shovels for building sandcastles. The house was very homey and comfortable too!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My surf fishing friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and already reserved again for next year. We are in our 40's and 50's and found the property to meet our needs in several respects. The house has a rustic comfort that is decorated very tastefully. The two living areas were clean, the kitchen appliances worked very well, It was equipped with all of the pots, pans, dishes, wine glasses and utensils you could every want, the beds were firm and comfortable, the showers have instant hot water and good pressure, all of the rooms have fans, there is a deck for sun and a porch for shade and there is room for parking for more than one car which is not always the case on Chappy. The location so close to Wasque and the Bay was great. There are water views. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. We had a super time. Great food, lots of new memories. For those considering this home, you must understand that Chappy is very remote, the houses there are very casual and relaxing- this home is not going to be featured in Architectural Digest like houses in Edgartown. If you want a very nice casual place that sleeps several people, where you have room to spread out in a great location, with beautiful knotty pine interior. You can't do better than this property.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our family had a wonderful vacation in this house. We stayed with our son and daughter-in-law for an escape week and took full advantage of everything .... we played ping pong in the second area and danced about the table. We cooked on the grill outside .... lovely salmon and had lobster delivered to us at the ferry. Evenings we walked to the ocean at the end of the road and mornings we walked along the ocean on the other side. We showered in the out door shower and we slept with ocean breezes on our faces, cool lovely salt air. We feasted on chocolate and ice cream. The times we wanted company, Edgartown was a spit away and the ferry was so fun. We visited the Japanese garden (Mytoi) and from there took a tour to the Cape Poge Lighthouse. Nothing like it -- an open truck driven by guides who love the area. Our son and daughter-in-law rented bikes and went all over the island. They also took the bikes over to Martha's Vineyard proper and toured the island. The Belazis were wonderful. Called to see how we were doing and gave us directions and passages. The house was homey and comforting as well as comfortable. We brought our mp3 players along with lots of music and we rented tons of movies to watch on their tv. The kitchen was well-equipped so we filled lobster pots with lobster and mixed morning ocean air with the smells of coffee and bacon. You'll love life here. You'll want to return every year. Next year when we return we intend to dig our own clams. Enjoy!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969As one of a sizeable group of fishermen that rents this property year after year, I would like to express my thanks to the Belazis' from our group for making this property available to us. We appreciate the spacious layout of the property as well as their constant upgrades to the property. When I bookmarked the property on Google earth, I named it Chappy Home. Every year I'm thrilled to step foot in the place and sad to leave it when the vacation is over.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I went up to this house for a week in July with another family. 9 in all. We had a great time. The house was neat and clean. The kids loved the recreation house and spent all their time in there. The adults had the main house with the TVs and a gorgeous porch that we danced on every night. Judy was wonderful to work with and would love to go back there. You can hear and see the ocean from the house. It was just amazing. Thanks Judy!
