Front shallow beach area is perfect for families with little ones to keep an eye on. brbr***NEW***brAfter a small project became a much larger one, guests at The Fox Den will be met with a BRAND NEW updated kitchen with new refrigerator, microwave and we have added an oven, dishwasher and disposal. We have vaulted the ceilings in the kitchen giving an open feel and renovated the bathroom including a full-size shower. The bunk room has been transformed as well into a built-in loft sleeping space with queen daybed and twin trundle bed underneath. The private beach is an easy 1 minute walk along the road between homes in front of our cottage. Entry is gradual, water level is high in early summer. (Note: high water level in early season may result in no beach.) Water shoes are helpful, footing is a mixture of small rocks and sand. Walk 5 minutes to a large, long, sandy State Park beach with picnic facilities, snack bar, bathrooms, volleyball and playgrounds. Trails run throughout the Park and link the beaches. A trail runs right behind our cottage. Our State Park Season Pass is provided.brbrHorseshoe pit, screened porch and decks, charcoal barbeque and wood firepit. A great vacation spot for a family with young children, offering a bit of safety in distance from water. Located just a few miles away is Rattlesnake Mountain which offers great family hiking activities. In the winter months we are within easy driving distance to some great skiing including Shawnee Peak, Lost Valley and Sunday River. The bedrooms include a master bedroom, has a queen size bed and adjoining full bathroom with a washer & dryer. The second bedroom has twin bunk beds. The second full bathroom is located off the hallway. The living area includes a sofa and two chairs and a gas fireplace. There is a flat screen smart TV with cable. The sunroom/den has a full futon and a desk. The dining area includes a table with seating for six and a breakfast bar that seats three. Also, there is free high speed WIFI (password provided in the cottage).brIn the kitchen you will find full size appliances and all the amenities needed to cook meals inside or outdoors on the gas grill. Please replace the propane if you use it and it becomes empty. Kitchen amenities include a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, glasses, mugs, plates, bowls, pots and pans, bake wear, serving/cooking utensils, potholders, cutting boards and knives.
