Multiple dining and sitting areas throughout the home provide ample space to gather together or spread out and relax.brbrFor your comfort, each bathroom is equipped with a hair dryer, and guests enjoy full access to the community pools, pavilion, and private gated beach access.brbrPool heating information:brAt least one community pool is heated every weekend from Friday afternoon through Sunday, during Spring Break from March 15 through April 15, Thanksgiving week, and from Christmas through New Year’s Day. If the water falls below the waterline tile and skimmers the heater will shut off. In order to keep it going we are happy if you stick the hose in the pool to fill it back up. Water level should be mid water line tile. We monitor during the week but it could be a day before we realize the water level is low. Assistance in this will ensure your heated pool experience is uninterrupted. brbr____________________ brbrCoffee: brbrEach unit is allotted a certain amount of coffee pods- if you are a heavy coffee drinker we suggest that you bring more of your own. If for some reason you arrive and there are no coffee pods in your unit please reach out and let us know so that we can arrange for some to be dropped off. We always do our best to make sure all of these details are taken care of but sometimes this little detail can be missed. If you do see insects, please remember we are in South Georgia on an island. Common pests of this nature are ants, pincher, black flies, and the occasional palmetto bug. brbr___________________ brbrTowels: brbrEach unit is also provided an adequate amount of bath towels as well as pool towels, if you have more people in your party or a frequent user of new towels we ask that you bring a few more of your own. All units are equipped with a washer and dryer that can be used to keep your laundry fresh during your stay. If for some reason you are not provided with an adequate amount of towels or linens please reach out to us so that we can address this in a timely manner during your stay. brbr_____________________ brbrFriendly Critters on Property: brbrWe are located on an island and sometimes we have the occasional visitor on the property ie. Raccoons or garden snakes. These are temporary visitors and usually mind their own business and are just passing through. We are not animal control and will not come out to remove the animal as 9 times out of 10 they are temporarily passing though. Please only alert us if the animal is in your personal space or the pool area. brbr_______________________ brbrProperty Maintenance: brbrOur property is located under a canopy of beautiful historic oak trees that in some seasons may shed its leaves a little more than others. The property may be blown off in the morning and the next day can seem as if not blown off at all. Please be patient with us as we have scheduled teams for lawn care maintenance and regular pool cleanings to make sure your stay and atmosphere stay as beautiful as possible. The way we live and travel with friends is the inspiration for the interior and exterior design of this house.brThe Fig House is a newly renovated mid-century modern located in the Kelvin Grove neighborhood next to Bloody Marsh. Clean lines, open living floor plan and carefully designed outdoor living spaces make this house a one of a kind for the area. brbrLiving Room/Dining Room:brThe living room is designed to entertain a group of adults or perfect for kids. With two sofas, two club chairs, a window bench seat and a wood burning fireplace, it is the perfect place to entertain, watch a movie, or cozy up and read a book. The dining area connects the living and kitchen and seats 8. A large window faces one of the most amazing live oaks on the island. Plenty of natural light fills this space.brbrKitchen:brThe kitchen is spacious with clean lines and is connected to the sunroom and the sitting room. A small breakfast table is located in the kitchen - perfect for lunch or a kids table. You have a view of the pool which is great when you are cooking dinner and friends or kids are in the pool courtyard or the sunroom.brbrSitting Room:brThe sitting room is connected to the kitchen and has a daybed and two club chairs. An arm chair sits in the corner next to a bar cart and has a tv that can be viewed from the sitting and kitchen area.brbrSun Room:brThe sun room sits off the kitchen and is the only access to the pool courtyard. This room as a combination dining table/pool table/ ping pong table and has a tv. This space is an extension of the courtyard and has a curated plant collection.brbrMaster Bedrooms (2):brMost of the time we travel with friends and have the kids in tow. We decided to make two masters so everyone feels comfortable! Each room has a king bed, chair, black out curtains and a closet. One master faces the pool courtyard and the other a red cedar hedge.brbrBunk Room:brPerfect for kids or a big group, this room has two bunk beds and looks out over the pool courtyard.brbrBathrooms (2.5):brPowder room of living. Private bathroom off of master with tub/shower combination. Bathroom off of the hallway that can be shared by the second master and the bunk room. This bathroom has a tub/shower combo. brbrFront Yard:brThe front has one of the most amazing live oaks on the island. There is a very special limb that arches over the drive and touches the ground. Please be mindful when you arrive and know that oversized vehicles or suv’s with racks or boxes will need to use the Cater street entrance. The limb is lit so you can see it at night. A kids swing hangs from another cool limb on the tree.brbrPool Courtyard:brThis is a private space that is lined in bamboo and huge tree ligustrums. The pool has a 12” raised beam so you have to step up and down before you enter the pool. Three sides of the pool have 2’x2’ cast stone pavers set in a limerock and granite loose pebble mixture. We have 4 chaise lounges facing the pool and a farm table for dining. There is a great live oak in the courtyard that is lit at night. The pool can be heated. This is a great space for entertaining or making family memories.brbrTv’s:brWe have a large tv over the fireplace and one in the sitting area that can be viewed from the kitchen. We also have one out in the sunroom. We do not have tv’s in the bedroom.brbrKids:brWe have young children and so do most of our friends so we know what traveling is like with young ones. We have a kids closet that is full of all of the day to day items one would need for little ones. We have toys, books, high chair, plastic plates, sippy cups, and a small kids table that can be pulled out for your stay. A pack n play is available upon request. We have two swings that are great for kids. One is located in the front yard and one out back. While the house is very kid friendly, if you don't have kids, don't let that turn you off! The decor is very neutral - even the bunk room!brbrNeighborhood:brKelvin Grove is located off Old Demere next to Bloody Marsh. The neighborhood has only one entrance so there is no through traffic. It is an active neighborhood with kids and homeowners out walking dogs and visiting. It is also a family neighborhood so please treat the house and the neighborhood like you would your own.

St Simons Rentals is proud to offer the Centennial Cottage at the Coast Cottages on St. Simons Island. The Coast Cottages boast 2 fabulous ocean front pools with a covered pavilion. The cottage is located just 100 yards to the Coast Cottages pools, pavilion and private beach access. Decorated in coastal decor, you and your family will love the open floor plan and covered porches. With spacious rooms throughout, you will enjoy entertaining with family and find the cottage to be very relaxing. brbrThe cottage is very spacious with 5 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths and sleeps 13. There are 2 master bedrooms each with a king size bed and a private bath. The master on the 3rd level also has a private covered balcony with views to the ocean. The master bathroom has both a tub/shower combination and another shower. It also has double sinks. Leave the 2 sets of French doors open in the evening to hear the soothing sounds of the waves coming ashore. In the morning, if the curtains are left open, the room is flooded with pink light from the sunrise over the ocean. Another bedroom on this level has a twin over full bunk bed and has access to the master bedroom bath and is also adjacent to an entertainment room for the kids. The kids game room on the third floor has a couple of bean bag chairs and a gaming chair for the kids. br On the first level of the cottage is the other master bedroom with a king size bed and private bath, another bedroom with a queen bed and the kids room with 2 sets of sturdy bunks. The laundry room is also located on this level. brbrThe second level of Centennial Cottage is wide open with a fully stocked kitchen, breakfast bar, living area with seating for 9, and the dining table that seats 10. Just off the living area through 3 sets of French doors is the front facing covered deck that has views to the pools and ocean. Two ceiling fans on the deck will keep you comfortable as you enjoy the views. The second level is just perfect for creating together family time. brbrThe Centennial Cottage with all of its amenities is located in Coast Cottages which is one of the premier vacation rental communities on the island. There are 2 ocean front pools and a covered pavilion. The houses are charming colorful coastal homes. St. Simons is a wonderful relaxing place to visit. The island has wonderful restaurants and many activities such as golf, tennis, fishing, swimming and bike riding just to name a few. Centrally located, the Centennial Cottage is just a half mile to restaurants and shops. The pier and village area is approx. 1 mile away and the popular WWII Home Front Museum is located practically in the back yard of the cottages. The island is a great place to ride bikes or take leisurely walks along the marshes that are adjacent to the cottages. You may park 2 vehicles in front of the house and additional cars may be parked at the end of the street.brbrYou and your guests will have access to the 2 neighborhood pools. Details of the Heated Community Pool: The Coast Cottages heats one of the pools on weekends (Friday- Sunday) during cooler months and certain holidays (at no charge to guests) Thanksgiving, week of Christmas through New Years Day, the last week of March and first week of April (Spring Break). Grab coffee in the morning across the street, You will be able to walk to BBQ, Crab Daddy's, The Crab Trap, Echo and the King and Prince bar or the Liquor store.
