It was located at Gascoigne Bluff (Epworth) near the entrance to the island. Later in 1988, it was disassembled (each board and brick was numbered and labeled), moved and rebuilt at its current location. The rich architectural details include original heart pine floors, reclaimed brick, wood and original windows. The stunning bay window in the front contains the original hand poured glass. The daisy chain etching on the front entry door pays homage to the motif behind the altar at Christ Church. Stars are another motif throughout the house thus the name, Morning Star. The original star can be found on a rafter tail on the front porch. The architect/owner of the house who moved and reconstructed it added more stars and the current owner carried on that tradition in the most recent renovation.brbrWe're located mid-beach - halfway between the St Simons Pier Village and East Beach. This stretch of beach is not tide dependent and has plenty of walking distance in both directions.
