Enjoy a nice read with a variety of books we offer, spend the day playing games, cook a nice meal, or binge-watch your favorite shows!brThe outside patio spaces offer endless mornings of bird-watching! The home is surrounded by views of wildlife and endless forest views. There are deer grazing and passing through the woods and you can hear the trickle of the small creek below the house. brbrGravel Drive *** The house is located on a long heavily wooded gravel road inside a gated community. The roads are narrow, very dark at night, curvy, and close to the edge of the mountain with no guard rail. If dirt/gravel roads, hills, darkness, and narrow roads aren’t your type of driving adventure I do suggest a different location.brbr The gravel road is perfect for afternoon walks or evening runs by the creek! There is a fishing pond 3 minutes from the house and a river that is perfect for trout fishing, kayaking, and tubing!brbr*** please know that this is cabin is in a heavily wooded area. We like to be clear that sometimes bugs (spiders, biting and stinging insects, etc), can find their way into the cabin. You may also encounter wildlife around the property (poisonous and non-poisonous snakes, bears, foxes, raccoons, skunks, flying squirrels and other animals). Please keep all doors closed and trash/food inside the cabin. We do supply bug spray in the pantry and you may wish to bring your own for personal wear. *** brbrWe have a fully stocked kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, a stovetop, a tabletop oven, and a full coffee & snack bar. brbrBathroom -- We have a fully updated bathroom with a large tile shower. But for real... that shower though.......it has a Bluetooth speaker built into the lightbulb in the shower ceiling! Feel free to jam out and play it as loud as you want!! brbr HEATING & AIR - we have central heating and air in the guest suite but the main control for the HVAC is located upstairs in the house. We typically keep heat on 67 & air at 72. However, there is an electric fireplace in the living room area of the guest suite and mini heater in the bathroom that heat the space very well if extra warmth is needed. There is also a window unit in the guest suite if you wish to cool the space down more. brbrHOT WATER- Our hot water heater runs off gas, it is not electric. Sometimes it takes about 15-30mins between showers before water fully heats back up again. brbrPOWER - if the power goes out in the event of a storm there are flash lights available in the room but we do not have a generator (the power doesn’t go out often during storms, but just incase there are flashlights ). brSometimes the breaker does get tripped if multiple things are plugged in at one time in the guest suite. If this happens let me know asap and we can access the breaker box to turn it back on.

Rushing River Lodge is the perfect place to get away, relax, adventure and spend time with your family and friends. Located in the North Georgia mountains and overlooking the Coosawattee River, you can enjoy river tubing, kayaking, fishing, your private hot tub, fire pit, pool table, games, community pools, tennis courts, rec center, playground, mini golf...there's something for everyone.brbrRushing River Lodge is a wonderful place to come unwind and make amazing memories. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals from home. Or, if you don’t feel like cooking, within a 15 minute drive there are many great restaurant options. Get take out and sit on the back porch while listening to the river or dine in from the many amazing restaurants in the Ellijay or Blue Ridge areas. The living room has a brand new fireplace that stretches from the floor to the ceiling! The season for building indoor fires is from October to April. The firelight dancing on the walls of the cabin while it is chilly outside and the Fall leaves is magical. And as if that wasn't enough, you can sit on the soft and cushy couches to enjoy the smart 50-inch TV with a fantastic sound system. All of the linens are bleached and washed with hot water, so you know they are sanitized and clean. There are TVs located in the living room and the downstairs master bedroom. There are two bathrooms, and both have brand new, large style commodes. The master bedroom has an incredible, private balcony that opens up through a set of glass French doors that overlooks the Coosawattee River. The sound of the rushing river below carries right into the bedroom. There is a wraparound deck on the main floor that includes an electric grill, ample seating, a game of ring toss and hot tub to soak away all of your cares! The back deck overlooks the Coosawattee River below. There are some rustic and rugged stairs that will lead you down to the edge of the river where you can hike, explore and enjoy the rushing river up close. The Coosawattee River Resort, where Rushing River Lodge is located, has something for everyone. From fishing and hiking to swimming and playing in (and on) the river, this resort was made for creating memorable moments. There are some top-rated wineries in the area for the wine lovers as well.
