Coosawattee River Haven: Luxurious Ellijay Lodge with 750' Private Waterfront!

Perfect property on the river for a family get together, will definitely be back.

The property was beautiful and the home was spacious for our family. Being by the river was very relaxing and the kids had plenty to do both inside and outside. The adults enjoyed the fireplace on the second deck.

The house had everything it listed and the pictures were accurate to what you see in person. Very well stocked inside and out. Our group loved being right on the river listening to the sounds of nature. We didn't make use of the pool or other amenities just because of the distance and crowds due to the holiday weekend. Great house. Highly recommend.

We had a excellent time at this beautiful house! Everything was perfect for what we were looking for in a family get away trip. We had 10 persons total with 2 babies.The rooms were very spacious and clean and the beds very comfortable. We loved the large bathrooms near each bedroom.The kitchen was very well equipped from pots and pans, 2 types of coffee machines, to seasonings for our dishes. This was such a plus since we ate at home mostly. We used the Blackstone grill outside for Hibachi and grilled burgers. It was my birthday, one day, so I loved that option.My family enjoyed the large Jacuzzi, pool table and many games available in their cabinet storage. When not outside at the river, this was our go to.Since the weather was amazing, we did spend a great deal of time at the river. With 4 sons, they wanted to be there swimming or fishing on a lg lot! We also had two grandchildren staying. The playground equipment kept them busy with lots of fun! We even used the cornhole game and enjoyed family competition.At night, our favorite was the fireplace on the deck area outside. We enjoyed s'mores and family stories. There was a firepit outside near the river too, but there was a NO burn notice during that dry period. We did however, enjoy sitting in the chairs near the river. So relaxing listening to the river flow and sounds!Thank you Amy for being a wonderful host and answering my questions when needed. You have a lovely house on the water.

This Home was in a perfect location, so much to do in the area. The house was amazing and accommodated 15 of us. I’ve never seen a kitchen so well supplied I would go back again in a heartbeat.

Everything was great. We loved the blackstone and hanging out in the spacious yard. Highly recommend.

The host was quick to respond with any questions I had. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. It had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook all of our meals. The location is perfect. Close to the store but also very private. We enjoyed our weekend here and would definitely book again.

All areas, inside and outside, were spacious and very well appointed. The three bedrooms with king beds worked perfectly for the adults in our family and the bunk room was a big hit with the kids. We really enjoyed the outside fireplace and the proximity of the river which provided relaxing sounds and fun fishing. We loved our family vacation and look forward to staying here again.

The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed, cabin was very clean, bedroom were comfortable, Riverview was amazing!

The house was very nice with all the amenities you would expect in a mountain home. Our family enjoyed the river, pool table, fireplace and cooked meals in a well stocked kitchen. The host is very responsive and provided information about everything you would need to know before arrival. Our family made some good memories this week!

Enjoyed our stay

What an amazing getaway for our family of 12 with six adults and six littles. Mike and Amy were responsive and helpful. Check in and check out was a breeze. The home is beautiful, spacious, and we had fun on every level. Fun games available to play, enjoyed the hot tub and fires on the porch. Enjoyed the Blackstone for breakfast and the grill for dinner. The kids loved the playground and even went tubing from one side of the property down the River to the other end. Saw deer crossing the River behind the property and lots of deer all over the area. We did not get time to enjoy the amenities of the resort area, so I cannot comment on those. We loved every second of this trip and cannot thank the owners enough for creating such a welcoming space.

Perfect place location cabin wish we could stay longer

We golfed, we rode horses, we tubed, we cooked inside and out, we ate out and sometimes just sat in the river and relaxed.

Great experience, beautiful home with all the amenities needed. Loved the river out back and the hot tub on the deck. Driveway might be tough without 4WD, but we were good.

Had a wonderful time at this beautiful house with my family. The setup was perfect and we had everything we needed and more. We had a little issue in the beginning and the host responded immediately. Highly recommend!

Best home we have stayed in since using VRBO. I would even consider coming back, which says a lot considering all the options out there. Truly peaceful river home, isolated ideal piece of land, comfortable clean home with all the space we needed. So grateful we were able to stay here.

My family loved this North Georgia retreat vacation!We had lots of room in this house and enjoyed everything this home had to offer including outdoor dining areas, pool table, fireplaces, riverside views, playground and lots more.The kitchen is equipped with everything needed for all meals.All the beds and furniture were very clean and comfortable. We booked the house for a summer vacation with 3 families (6 adults and 7 kids) and the choice of house could not have been more perfect! The three en suite master bedrooms made it perfect for each family to have their own space, while the kids loved the bunk rooms. The amenities / items available in the house were amazing …. From grills to coffee makers to trash bags. Additionally - the hosts were great with communication! If in the area - will definitely look to stay here again!

Conveniently close to downtown, yet nestled in serene seclusion. Kitchen perfectly stocked for all your cooking needs. So much to do indoors and out, really no need to leave!

Pictures don’t do it justice. Clean perfectly appointed and secluded. No one on the opposite bank or to your right. Only a house tucked up on the hill to your left but otherwise completely private. In 30 years I’ve never rented a cabin twice but I might come back to this one.

This property is exactly as described. The kitchen is amazing with high quality appliances and plenty of pots and pans. We were able to cook and prepare meals with ease! The river access is perfect, allowing my crazy crew to tube from the house even in the freezing river. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of hot water. The driveway is steep and the roads are tight, but we didn’t have any real issues! Thank you for having us! We enjoyed our visit.

We really enjoyed our time at this property. We were traveling with family for spring break and the house was very spacious. Large rooms, large beds and bathrooms are great size too. It was so nice being right on the water, enjoying the outdoor living space and the hot tub. The beds were very comfy too! Only con is that upon arrival we had a lot of large ants on the kitchen counters and had to contact the owner. The owner came and sprayed but the smell stayed for a few days. Other than that, no issues.

Stayed mid February and chose River Sanctuary for river location (river is beautiful). Chose the resort for indoor pool and other facilities available for multigenerational gathering of 3 families (6 adults and 6 children). We never used the resort facilities, since had plenty at this house with hot tub, pool table, games. Great 3 level layout for 3 families and plenty of room, well equipped kitchen, Blackstone grill for cooking for large group. Kids want to return in warm weather for fishing and tubing! Lots of deer seen, wild turkeys too. Highly recommend this property.

Nice and isolated but not too far from everything. Our group of 11 adults had a blast. Property was very clean and it was close to the river which we found to be so soothing. It snowed while we were there and we were able to get outside and walk in it. Lots of fun. The house was just exactly to our liking and the checkout process was very smooth. We can't wait to stay again.

The property was just as described and more. Everything was perfect, it was very clean and had everything we needed. The host was great and quick to respond to any questions I had. My grandsons really enjoyed being on the river and sitting by the fireplace outside with the whole family. I couldn’t have ask for a better place to stay. I would highly recommend this property.

This home is perfect for large gatherings. We had a great time hanging out on the large deck w/fireplace and playing in the yard by the beautiful river. I’m not sure there are actually trout in the Coosawattee River but my husband enjoyed wading in the water and practicing his cast. The home had everything we needed for a wonderful family gathering to celebrate my husband’s 60th and his mom’s 89th birthday.

This cabin was our favorite. It was beautiful and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The kids loved playing in the river. Overall it was perfect for us!
