Worth every dollar you’ll spend! A “not so far away” secluded cabin in the woods! PeAceful with little to no vehicular traffic. In 5 days I saw 3 cars. If you want a delightful getaway try out the Blissful Bear! Ed, our host is an excellent communicator!

What a treasure! I am so happy we found this rental. The Blissful Bear cabin is the most relaxing and peaceful place I’ve ever stayed. The treehouse and fire pit with the creek in the background is absolutely wonderful. The hosts go above and beyond to make your stay special with lots of extras. Comfort is everywhere -inside and out- and the decor is exceptional. If you’re looking to make memories, you will not go wrong here.

The Blissful Bear was perfect in all ways imaginable. From the moment we booked our stay the owners where quick to respond whenever I reached out. Every detail you could think of, they had already thought of and had it available in the cabin for our stay. The pictures do not even compare to the true beauty, nor can you put into words the peace you will experience when you stay.

The cabin was very clean and we enjoyed all the personal touches. The landscape was beautiful.

We love this cabin, it is exactly as described and more. It was very clean comfortable and relaxing. It is conveniently located between Blue Ridge and Ellijay and very easy to access. We loved sitting on the back porch listening to the rushing creek below and the beautiful walk to the lake. The cabin is well stocked and the coffee bar is amazing. Communication with the host is great, although we didn’t need a thing. Everything was wonderful and we hope to stay again next year. I highly recommend!

This is a rare find cabin. The first thing we noticed was how clean it was. The furnishings, decorations, beds, linens are all above average quality. The owners have put in considerable time to meet and exceed guests expectations. Kitchen has everything you need (except food) to have meal, snack or just a glass of wine.The treehouse with its own fireplace is where we spent considerable time listening to the nearby creek. The cabin has a large screened-in back porch with gas grill and plenty of room to relax.This cabin is definitely in the top 10% of places we have rented.

Our favorite cabin! We loved the outdoor treehouse, the stream , the trail to the lake, the cabin amenities, the cabin decor, and the correspondence with the owner. It was close to terrific hiking trails.

Edward was very responsive and helped us greatly when we had to adjust our reservation. He was always available to answer questions. The cabin has the perfect layout. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom. The screened in backporch is excellent. We especially loved the elevated walkway to the fireplace gazebo that us very spcious. The firepit area downcloser to the creek is nice. We walked to the lake for a little fishing. The trail was just as nice as any trail that you would spend time driving to. We would definitely stay here again, and do recommend for anyone else to stay.

Blissful bear cabin was amazing… beautiful view , large screen porch and tree house area made our trip extra special. You could hear the water in the creek as it flowed by. All the little personal details and extras at this rental made it my favorite spot. All the amenities of home. Coffee bar was wonderful . Will definitely be back !!

What a relaxing retreat for a girls weekend! The cabin was clean, the beds incredibly comfortable, and the bear decor was cute without being “over done”! We enjoyed a fire with our morning coffee in the treehouse and were amazed at how relaxing it was with the sound of the stream below! Centrally located to everything! We especially loved the proximity to several amazing wineries! Hope to be back!

Outside treehouse fireplace is amazing. Owner provides plenty of firewood and thoughtfully decorated for the Christmas holiday. So many thoughtful touches made the experience very special. Excellent attention to details that made the stay exceptional

Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Felt like walking into my home. Fireplace was fabulous, wood provided. Beds were very comfortable and loved the Master Spa shower. Enjoy being outside and hearing the bubbling creek running just below, sounded like soft rain coming down. The only thing that was missing was a hot tub to view the stars.

Enjoyed the cabin very much in spite of rain every day. It was beautifully decorated and well stocked with a great coffee bar. Looking forward to a return trip when we can enjoy the tree house and other outdoor beauty.

The cabin was located on a beautiful lot overlooking a flowing creek The treehouse with fireplace was great and plenty of firewood was provided. The cabin had a fully stocked coffee bar which we all enjoyed. The owner of this cabin was very timely with all correspndence. We would highly recommend this property.

This was one of our favorites cabins we have visited. It had everything you needed to be comfortable. We loved sitting in the treehouse and having a fire going. Thanks for letting us enjoy your wonderful place.

Loved the whole week! House was spotless and the welcome decorations started at the driveway and continued thru the cabin, onto the screened porch and even in the tree house. Made to feel like a home away from home! It smelled wonderful and there was everything you could ask for to be able to cook and grill. There were so many little touches, like a gift bag that held everything you needed for smores and popcorn to adorable cloth animals throughout. The beds were comfortable and the linens soft and inviting. It was even better than we imagined with the creek running over rocks creating a soft and soothing sound. It was virtually the only sound besides birds that we heard. The quiet was unbelievable and we loved every minute of it. We read by the fireplace at night and never had a bug bother us. We ate every meal on the screened in porch (which had a grill that was perfect for cooking outdoors) and had coffee from the lovely coffee bar every morning on the porch in the rocking chairs. We wanted a place to relax and be in nature and we found the perfect place. The walking trail by the creek was an added bonus as well. We are already trying to decide when we can book for next year and really appreciate everything that Edward did to accommodate us for this trip!

Absolutely perfect trip! The hosts provided everything needed and then some. The cabin was beautifully decorated, clean, cosy and comfortable and we will most definitely return and stay longer on our next trip. I'm torn between telling everyone I know about this perfect cabin because Im afraid it will be booked and unavailable making it difficult for my return. Thank you for making our trip perfect!

Where can I start!!! This place is spectacular!!! From the moment we walked in we were blown away!! The pictures do not do it justice!! The home was immaculate. The coffee bar was unreal!!! It had everything!! They left a gift for is to make smores and a bag of popcorn. The cabin has everything you need!! We ate breakfast every morning out on the covered screened in porch. At night we burned in the fireplace in the tree house. You can hear the creek in the back the whole time you are outside. This was the most peaceful place for rest and relaxation!! Oh, and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud!! We will never stay anywhere else in Ellijay but here from now on!! Will be back again soon!!

Wonderful ‘cabin in the woods’.Very comfortable with all the amenities well thought. Loved the screen porch and tree house. Sat out every morning with our coffee listening to the babbling stream enjoying a leisurely time to reconnect.

Well appointed and thoughtful items left in the pantry for communal/guest use which was super handy. Host answered all questions and concerns promptly. Coffee bar is clutch! Great trip reconnecting with my wife and created some great memories that will last a lifetime. Very relaxing and recharging trip. While there is no access from property to the creek the gurgling sound is quite soothing. We did not use the fire areas as it was just too warm, but hanging out in the 'tree house' was quite enjoyable. Excellent host and property and would definitely consider a return trip. Watch out for the bear!

The cabin is very very clean and stocked probably better than any we have ever stayed at. Both the treehouse porch area and large screen porch were great for cards, games, reading and visiting with our friends. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

The cabin was perfect, so beautiful, peaceful, and well-equipped. Loved and used all outdoor spaces. The gurgling stream below the property was so soothing. All lthe trees and foliage made it feel as if you were staying in a tree house. I enjoyed walking up and down the neighborhood hilly streets. We loved our stay.

This cabin felt like home. The feeling you will get just rocking in the chairs or sitting outside listening to the creek and birds will immediately melt the stress away. The area is beautiful and well maintained. Would recommend 100%Basic essentials well stocked, coffee bar, games and room to relax just a few unexpected bonuses.

This cabin is absolutely beautiful with every amenity you can imagine plus more. The sound of the rushing stream at the foot of the hill by the firepit was so relaxing and having our morning coffee in the treehouse was too. I wish it was colder so we could have had a fire out there. We plan to return next year. Many thanks to our host for such a relaxing vacation.

Immaculate ! Thoughtfully prepared providing every detsol and more. Two wood burning fireplaces made for wonderful evenings. A coffee bar stocked with coffees, hot chocolate. Teas, coffee flavorings,and acsmores kit… every detail Great Communication and fantastic hosts. I could go on for pages. MY WIFE AND I WILL BE BACK!

Cabin was clean with extra touches of hospitality and easy communication with host. We weren't able to enjoy the tree house much due to recent pollen season and lights were not working in that area during the evening, but nonetheless we had a great stay and would consider another stay in the future!

The treehouse fireplace and the screened in porch were perfect for enjoying the soothing sounds of the rushing creek, the variety of birds, and a rainstorm. The owners have thought of every last detail to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Definitely planning to stay here again!

As very active, well traveled 60 year olds wanting to check out and relax, this was so perfect! Coffee on the screened in porch and by the fireside in the tree house throughout the day was perfect. The soothing sounds of the creek and easy hike from the property to the lake were fun. Walking in the sparsely populated neighborhood yielded beautiful woods and some mountain views. Lots of nearby towns to explore - including the Big Food museum for bragging rights to grand kids. We hope to go back! (Linens, towels, kitchen, etc. were nice.)

Owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. From family games to full coffee bar and smores. We took advantage of all the amenities and recommendations. Communications with host was above and beyond. So friendly and welcoming. I cannot express alour gratitude for you and this amazing place. Thank you for the memories amd the experience. We travel to the Blueridge area at least once a year, each time staying in a different cabin. I must say, this has been by far our favorite cabin. The property it self was beautiful, nestled in the trees with the sound of the water rushing in the creek below. The cabin was very cozy with everything you need and then some. The coffee bar was a nice surprise, and the gift bag with smore ingredients was yummy. I can't say enough about the treehouse fireplace area, we drank coffee there in the morning and sipped wine there at night. The cabin is located very close to historic downtown area of Ellijay where we ate delicious food, our favorite restaurant was The Roof. We also visited Roos Winery, which I would also highly recommend. Thank you to the owners for sharing your beautiful cabin and making our little getaway very special.

It snowed…in Ga…the weekend we stayed. But it was perfect!! The owner himself was in constant contact with us to make sure we felt safe and was genuinely concerned about our safety above everything else. This place was absolutely perfect! The cabin is gorgeous, very well maintained, very clean, and I can’t recommend it enough! We will definitely be back!!

The Blissful Bear cabin was in a great location near Blue Ridge and a host of small towns with great dining, national parks with hiking, creeks and wildlife. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace every single day and the ability to sit outside and watch the creek flow by. The cabin inside was comfortable, well stocked, and had nearly everything we needed. Our hosts were very communicative and helpful during my first VRBO rental. We typically do not repeat trips so that we can explore new areas, but we will 100% stay at The Blissful Bear cabin again.

Where do I start?! Our Host, Ed was top notch and very pleasant to deal with. Very helpful with suggestions and information on the area/very quick to respond. The cabin was immaculate, a special touch in every spot. Perfectly decorated for Christmas, inside and out. Just what we were looking for my Husband and I, Daughter and Son-in-Law with our 2 year old Grandbaby. It was cozy and perfect open floor plan, as we loved cooking and enjoying each other without all being crunched in kitchen. The bedrooms being on each side of cabin with living room in center gave us just the right amount of privacy. The Tree House with fireplace and couches is priceless, as you can cozy up in front of the fireplace in a throw blanket (which the cabin had many) while listening to the flowing creek below. Enjoyed morning coffee on the swing bench overlooking the beautiful back yard. The fire Pit next to the creek was a plus as well. Oh, and the Coffee Bar was a treat! I could go on and on...The only down side is it would be nice to have king beds in both rooms. My Husband and I are firm mattress sleepers and the smaller room had a mattress topper that was way too soft and had a worn spot on one side that made you feel like you were in a hole which made my neck and his back act up. We realized the night before we left, that it wasn't connected to mattress and all we had to do was take it off and it was fine. Would highly recommend this perfect little cabin nestled in nice neighborhood, loved it!

Our stay at The Blissful Bear was one of the Top 5 vacation experiences we have ever had. The cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and our stay was filled with great memories. Edward and his wife have truly provided a beautiful “Home Away From Home” for someone looking for a peaceful oasis in the North Georgia mountains.

We were so totally impressed with Blissful Bear. Easy to get to but nicely secluded. The amenities provided by the host are the best I’ve seen anywhere, from bathroom supplies and products to kitchen cooking supplies, a super impressive coffee bar with so many choices, a thoughtful bag of s’mores ingredients, and firewood! Bedding is very comfortable. The treehouse with a beautiful fire place is a favorite day or night. The totally screened in deck is great for morning coffee with beautiful treed landscape and the ever present sound of the babbling brook! Then there is the fire pit so nicely constructed on a platform. Never got to the hammock, but there’s another choice for some R and R. The fall decorations throughout are a nice touch, more evidence of the thoughtful host(s) who, by the way, were so readily responsive to any question we had. Can’t say enough about this wonderful getaway, except that we have already scheduled our trip back for next year, and for a longer time! Thank you for exceeding our already high expectations!

My husband and I enjoyed staying in your beautiful home in North Georgia very much! It was relaxing and peaceful. The weather turned cool during our stay, and we enjoyed those nightly fires in the fireplace! Leaves are changing, everyday more color showed. I didn’t know leaf peeping was so much fun! Loved Engelheim Vineyard, and the Cajun Depot Grill was our fave! Thanks for sharing your little bit of Heaven in the mountains with us. We will be back!
