There is one pack-n-play for the little one. brbrbrbrAlso on the main level is the large and open living space, which includes the kitchen, a dining space for six, and a comfortable living room with a couch and two lounge chairs. Family Tides is located in the Jose's Hideaway neighborhood association, which includes a shared private dock and private beach access. brbrbrbrGolf carts are used for transportation and exploring, though the docks/intra-coastal waterway and beach are all 1-5min walks from our home. brbrbrbrDuring heavy rains, many of the paths on the island can flood. We recommend bringing rain boots in the event you need to walk these paths. brbrbrbrIslanders are respectful of each other and are very friendly, so please offer the same in return.brbrbrbrGetting Around:brbrOn Island, there are paths throughout for walking or riding golf carts. There is no public transport. There is a golf cart rental service available if you require a 2nd to accommodate your group (our cart holds four people + one small child at most). Our cart is included for free as a convenience, **however in the event of malfunction, we'll do our best to resolve the issue ASAP, but we cannot guarantee repair or replacement during your stay as all vendors are on island time and no refunds are provided. *If you require a golf cart for mobility, we highly recommend you rent one as those services are usually able to provide immediate replacement carts in the event of break downs. brbrbrbrOff island, ride-shares are unreliable so arranging for a cab or driving are the best option. If you're into bicycling, on the mainland there is an extra large sidewalk alongside the main road, and you can bike to/from Publix and onto Boca Grande pretty easily from the marina.brbrbrbrOther Things to Note:brbr!! Master with a new king and 1/2 bathroom. 2nd bedroom with two brand new twins, one full bathroom and a pull out in the living room. Sleeps 4 comfortably and can sleep up to but no more than 6. You will need a water taxi (pirates water taxi, the do not like to book anything less than a week prior) or a boat to get to the island (Dock 51), the island is not accessible by car. Be it bitter sweet, long awaited Starlink provides strong reliable internet. There is island grocery delivery, but we recommend grocery shopping before crossing the bay. Trash service is provided at 3 kitchen size bags per week. Golf cart, kayak, and many other activities are available for rent. Please note, however, that the handyman is subject to the same problems getting to the island that you were. Our beaches are some of the most pristine and quiet in all of coastal Florida. There are no high rises blocking your Gulf views, unpaved sandy roads, and a relaxed Old Florida atmosphere. There is one restaurant called the Rum Bay that serves lunch and dinner. The car ferry runs continually from 6:30 am until 10:00 pm from Sunday through Thursday and until 11:00 pm Friday and 12:00 midnight Saturday. You drive your car onto the ferry and then directly to your vacation rental home. It's a very special place to vacation. We have kayak rentals and golf cart rentals for your use during your vacation. During winter months, we recommend taking advantage of the pool heating option which can be added for $20 daily.brbrHave you vacationed on the island before Palm Island a.k.a. Don Pedro Island, is a barrier island 7 miles long between Sarasota and Ft. Myers on the Gulf coast with sugar-sand beaches, beautiful harbors and lagoons, great fishing and shelling only accessible by a short 10 minute car ferry or private boat. Our beaches are some of the most pristine and quiet in all of coastal Florida. There are no high rises blocking your Gulf views, unpaved sandy roads, and a relaxed Old Florida atmosphere. There is one restaurant called the Rum Bay that serves lunch and dinner. The car ferry runs continually from 6:30 am until 10:00 pm from Sunday through Thursday and until 11:00 pm Friday and 12:00 midnight Saturday. You drive your car onto the ferry and then directly to your vacation rental home. It's a very special place to vacation. We have kayak rentals and golf cart rentals for your use during your vacation. All of our properties on Palm Island require a ferry ride to get there. One round trip on the ferry for car and passengers costs $55. The alternative is to purchase a book of 10 round trips for $400, or $40 per round trip. For more information on the ferry, google Palm Island Transit.
