Floor to ceiling sliding doors in the living room and 2 bedrooms offer the views of the Atlantic Ocean and open to the covered back area furnished with Adirondack chairs, loungers and a dining table perfect for enjoying your morning cup of coffee before starting your day of fun in the sun.brbrBedroom 1 has a King sized bed, en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and flat screen tv. Manatees are seen almost daily-and will stop to take a drink of fresh water you offer them from the water hose located behind the fish cleaning station on the dock. There is also a beautiful, spacious screened in balcony overlooking the canal. It is fully furnished with a TV in each room as well as the living room. We have Cable, Wi-Fi, and a phone line. We also have a brand new concrete dock with a fish cleaning table and ladders for swimming. This is not your typical Keys rental house. It's got so much more to offer. The location is situated on a four-acre nature preserve with a very tranquil, beautifully landscaped back yard. From the house, enjoy a long winding elevated walkway through the mangroves that opens to a private dock on the bay. Our guests are amazed by the elevated walkway because you are literally emersed in the mangroves and can see the amazing creation of new fish life in the water below. As you get to the end of the path, you are now beyond the mangroves, where you'll find Yellowbird's ample dock. This area offers a new prospective of the beauty of Florida Bay. The passage to the open water is less than 2’ at low tide and is best suitable for shallow-draft boats. But larger boats have navigated the shallow channel if you're lucky enough to have a competent captain who understands the shifting & rhythm of the tides. brbrThe upstairs deck is everyone's favorite hang-out. It's the perfect spot to enjoy your morning cup of coffee but is especially where you will get a front row seat to see what the Florida Keys sunsets are all about. The house sits up on stilts like most homes in the Keys which is why you can easily capture those outrageously beautiful views. The second floor where the bedrooms are located, is really high up there and is actually the third floor of the house if you consider the stilts factor. brbrParking underneath the house is very convenient and the other side of this area is another great spot for gathering. brbrThe upper-level bedrooms are comfortable, charming and have beautiful views. One bedroom has twin beds, the other has a Queen bed. Each of the bedrooms has a sink and mirror in the bedroom, but a fabulous outdoor shower is shared between the two bedrooms and is located on the deck. As you shower, you can watch the breathtaking sunset over the bay. Downstairs, the sleeping arrangement is a little unconventional. It consists of a bunk bed connected to the downstairs bath with shower. This area is very small and is typically designated only for children. We refer to this area as the crew's quarters. If you've ever watched the popular reality show Below Deck, you get the idea. Kids find it cozy and have fun with the idea of climbing up to the top bunk with the assistance of a big rope and one step. brbrThe kitchen has a galley style layout and is fully equipped for gourmet cooking. New appliances add to the efficiency of the kitchen space. Everything you'll need for cooking & most anything can be found in this kitchen. Besides an electric range, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, there is a microwave, toaster oven, and drip-style coffee pot. brbrBring your boat to this 3 bedroom / 3 bath recently updated home with 50 ft of deep water dockage and a custom HEATED swimming pool (small pool is not heated). House will comfortably sleep 8 with 1 king bed, 2 queens and two sleeper sofas. Each bedroom has it's own private attached bathroom. You will love waking up or relaxing on the water as the only thing that separates the house from the water is the dock. Master suite has been completely updated with new tile, finishes and standing tub. Boot Key harbor is only 3 houses down the canal. The home is very peaceful and has very private tropical spa like pool in the front with a beautiful flagstone wall. You will instantly feel on vacation as you sit by the pool, kayak or paddle board in the harbor, fish in the canal, go for a bike ride, or take the short 3.5 mile drive to Sombrero beach. We are also minutes from 7 mile bridge if you want to visit Bahia Honda park or take the short 45-50 minute drive to Key West. Sorry no RV parking but plenty of space for a trailer, truck and a mini-van. There are no bridges and no limits to open water based on low tide. Added bonus we have never had a build up of sea grass anywhere near the house since 2011! brbrI only accept Saturday to Saturday stays - Thank you!brbrPlease call or e-mail me if you have additional questions. (I usually respond within the hour). Please notice the water outside of the sliding glass doors in both the family room and the bedroom. You are literally right on the water! We catch jacks, mangrove snappers, chubs, barracudas and grunts off the dock for a quick lunch and the pelicans and herons always join you when you are cleaning fish on the fish cleaning station. There is a fishing kayak, a ocean kayak, a 2 man ocean kayak, 2 paddle boards and 4 bicycles included with the rental. The heated spa like pool located in the front of the house is awesome with a bench running the length of it and a separate smaller pool that is great if you want to get away from the splashing kids. All new furniture, AC unit downstairs.brbrSaturday to Saturday rentals only from January - August.
