We love and respect them, and everyone must accept responsibility for keeping them alive and the property damage-free. The Lake Tahoe Community is highly sensitive about the responsible disposal of trash and any type of wildlife attractant(s). Local residents routinely report violators to the local Sheriff’s Department, without warning. Bears that enter a residence or vehicle are subject to euthanasia by the Department of Fish & Game. Please know that it is against State Law to leave any type of trash or wildlife attractant unattended. Therefore, all trash and recycling must always be securely placed inside the locked metal dumpster. Overflow garbage and recycling must be taken off-site by the Guests and never left in a vehicle, near a door or window, or any other unsecured outdoor location. Guests assume financial responsibility for all violations of the law. Local and State fines for improper storage and/or disposal range between $1,500 and $5,000 per occurrence. In addition, should a violation of this policy occur, your reservation will be immediately terminated, you will forfeit all fees paid, and the Property Owners will be entitled to reimbursement by the Guests for loss of revenue due to revocation of their Short Term Rental Permit.brbr08. Housekeeping and Check Out PracticesbrYour cleaning fees cover a standard level of service, including floors and surfaces, linen changes, and laundry processing. Unlike a hotel, this is a personal residence, and as such, the cleaning fee does not accommodate excessive or unanticipated services not typically required for a residential stay. Thank you for caring for this property as if it were your own. brbrAfter you check out of the property, there may be a period of time before the cleaning service arrives. Local residents routinely report violators to the local Sheriff’s Department, without warning. Bears that enter a residence, garage, or vehicle are subject to euthanasia by the Department of Fish & Game. Please know that it is against State Law to leave any type of trash or wildlife attractant unattended. Therefore, all trash and recycling must always be securely placed inside a locked metal bear box at the end of the driveway. Overflow garbage and recycling must be taken off-site by the Guests and never left in a garage, vehicle, near a door or window, or any other unsecured outdoor location. Guests assume financial responsibility for all violations of the law. Local and State fines for improper storage and/or disposal range between $1,500 and $5,000 per occurrence.
