Thank you for checking out our rental listing! We are happy to host several fully furnished rentals in Carlsbad since 2018. All rentals are tended to personally by our small family business, with me (Mari) doing the customer service part and other family members handling the housekeeping. We are happy to welcome visiting families and pets as well as digital nomads and folks looking for a relaxing staycation stationed in our quiet neighborhood just a short walking distance to Tamarack State Beach and adorable Carlsbad Village. brbrThis 2 bed 2 bath private house is located in a cozy garden setting walking distance to the beach. We provide free WIFI and take care of the utilities. It is fully furnished for good comfort, with fresh linens and towels provided for each stay. By request, we can drop off a change of linens/towels and pick up used ones at no charge. Additional housekeeping calls can be arranged for additional cleaning fees. brbrThe kitchen has a full sized stove/oven, a refrigerator, and microwave. We stock all the kitchen basics - cookware, dining sets and utensils, cooking oil and basic seasoning/condiments. There is a Nespresso machine with pods provided as well as a small drip coffee pot and electric water kettle. There is a toaster, blender, tea towels and oven mitts. If you are needing a particular kitchen thing or refills needed, we likely have an extra on hand that we can bring over! brbrThe primary bedroom has a king sized bed, side tables and lamps, and smart TV. The bedroom closet has a clothes rack with hangers, shelves and drawers for various storage. The en-suite bathroom has a full walk-in shower and we provide fresh hand towels, soap and shampoo/conditioner for each stay. We leave a few rolls of TP and paper towels for each stay, and typically don’t offer to restock for longer stays but can bring a few more rolls over by request.brbrThe second bedroom has a queen sized bed, side table and lamp and smart TV. The closet has a clothes rack and hangers provided, and a standing drawer set provides a lot of extra storage. brbrThe hallway bathroom has a full bath/shower and we provide additional bath and beach towels in the hallway shelves. We kindly ask that beach sand really be kept out of the house and there is an outdoor shower/faucet in the backyard to help rinse sand off before heading inside. brbrThe living room has a sofa-bed couch and comfy lounge chair, floor lamp, side tables, a media storage cabinet with some games/books, and a smart TV connected to the house WIFI. We have our YoutubeTV account logged in on all the TV’s in the house for guests to use that connect to local and national network TV broadcasts, and guests may also log into their own streaming services. HDMI cables can be provided by request if there aren’t already some in the house. brbrWe have ceiling fans in each room as well as central heating/cooling for additional climate comfort, but it’s almost always ideal weather here in Carlsbad! brbrOff-street parking in the driveway for several vehicles is private for guest use during the rental, as no other vehicles or people will pass through this driveway. Electric vehicles may not be charged at the house just yet. Street parking nearby is also generally available and there are no street sweeping ticket days. Our neighborhood is very mellow and safe, but we have security cameras over the common pathways to the street in case there are any questions or issues. brbrThe patio and yardspaces outside the house are for guest’s private use during the stay, but we cannot support large or loud gatherings at any time and ask that guests observe very quiet hours 10pm-8am on behalf of the neighbors nearby. We are super pet friendly but to avoid any interaction issues, please leash pets in the common areas outside the house. We handle the yardwork on Thursdays. Trash is collected Monday mornings and we ask guests to roll the provided bins to the curb in front of the house and back to their original position, unless help is requested in advance. brbrPlease note that our place is really close to the coastal rail tracks, so commuter and freight trains can be heard passing throughout the day and occasionally at night. Usually it’s quick and a low rumble but sometimes the horn can be loud. brbrThere is no laundry on-site, but we highly recommend Launderland at 977 Tamarack Ave next to the Vons. brbrRates and fees: Nightly rates range from $300-$350 depending on the seasonal availability but we are open to discussing budgets especially if short notice availability opens up. All stays are charged a fee of $300 for cleaning and 12% taxes on the total cost of the stay, and we offer a discount of 10% off the nightly rate for stays of 7+ days. We offer a 50% discount on the rate for stays over 30+ nights, with $300 fee for regular cleaning and $200 for any additional housekeeping calls (which can be scheduled by request) but no tax is charged for longer visits.brbrBooking and payment options: We typically require full payment prior to arrival, but can arrange for payments to be scheduled over time for stays over 14 days. brbrChange and cancellation policy: We know travel plans can change rapidly or unexpectedly, and dislike charging people for not being able to make it here so will do what we can to work with any last minute reservation changes and offer full refunds whenever possible. Bookings are fully refundable within 24 hours of being made, unless that is within 72 hours of the arrival. In that case we would not be able to refund but can offer to move the reservation to sometime in the future, even if those plans aren’t concrete and work on establishing new dates when it is more convenient. brbrWe hope to set visitors up here with all the comforts of home and extra conveniences ready upon arrival and without additional interaction needed upon self-check-in, but we are happy to come over to attend promptly if any issues or questions come up during the visit! brbrPlease let me know if you have any other questions about our place and hope to host your visit here soon!

Located on a quiet cup-de-sac street with only 12 homes, there is little noise to disturb you. The neighborhood is upscale, and the neighbors are mostly older singles and middle aged families.brbrGetting around:brMost people in Carlsbad own or lease a car. Public transportation is not the best, as the buses run hourly. There is a bus stop at the end of the street that will take to you the train station just a couple of miles away, or up or down the coast. Most guests who do not have cars use Uber or Lyft, the ride sharing apps. A car can be here in minutes to take you anywhere. The house is located within walking distance to the grocery stores, 12 flex movie theater, 24-hour fitness, many restaurants and coffee shops. Each is less than one mile way, about a 10 minute walk. As you enter, you are welcomed by the large vaulted entryway and classic living room with lounge seating. The living room boasts wonderful natural light through the plantation shutters, and flows seamlessly to the open dining space and family room plus kitchen. In the dining room you'll find a table with seating for 7 and sliding doors that open to the backyard. Then as you walk a little further, there is the large family room which opens to the kitchen. The family room boasts a large flatscreen TV above the ambient fireplace, and cozy furniture offering lots of seating. The dazzling kitchen is fully equipped, featuring an island with barstool seating for 3, stainless steel appliances, and all your cooking and dining essentials. All of the living spaces on the first floor flow seamlessly together so every guest can spread out comfortably, but be together while cooking, dining, relaxing and celebrating. Adjacent to the kitchen, there is a dedicated laundry room with a washer, dryer, and sink. Upstairs you will find all of the bedrooms plus the bonus room. The spacious on-suite primary bedroom has a king bed, flatscreen TV, Peloton exercise bike, shower with glass door, separate large soaking tub, and vanity with dual sinks. Bedroom 2 also has a king bed and ceiling fan, while bedroom 3 has 2 full-sized beds. The upstairs guest bathroom is crisp and clean and can be shared by both guest bedrooms. The bonus media room has a flatscreen TV, ceiling fan, and extra large sofa - perfect for added sleeping accommodations for kids or movie night. There is also a convenient half bath on the first floor of the home off the entryway. The backyard is a true oasis with ample seating for lounging or dining, BBQ grill, love seat swing, and lush landscaping. It's the ideal place to unwind after a long day of sun and exploring. But that's not all! The ping pong table in the garage is perfect for some friendly competition. We also provide beach essentials such as beach chairs, umbrella, wagon, boogie/surf boards. Driveway parking is available for 2 cars. This vacation rental is perfect for families or groups of friends looking for a comfortable and stylish home away from home. Permit #BLRE007352 Drive through the gates of the La Costa Resort, and the first building has our flat which is privately owned. We just completed a thorough remodel from floor to ceiling. It is one bedroom, but also has a separate sleeping area with 2 bunks. We also have 2 couches that lay flat, with tempurpedic pads that are very very comfortable. The building has its own pool with bbq area for your use. If you prefer to use the hotel amenities, please contact them for day passes. You can always use their spa and restaurants as well.
