While mostly covered, during winter storms, some snow may accumulate and will need to be shoveled in order to be maintained. We do our best to ensure reasonable access to the property, but depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), the stairs may need to be shoveled. There are shovels located onsite that can be used by guests, but we recommend that you travel with a shovel during winter conditions.brbrWINTER ADVISORY: By reserving this house during the winter months (November - April), you acknowledge that you will be traveling into the mountains and that winter storms are common and often unpredictable. The dates that you are choosing to reserve are being held for your group and are therefore unavailable for other groups to reserve. In all cases, our cancellation policy will prevail. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We strongly advise that you pay attention to incoming storms and / or changes in weather patterns in order to help avoid travel delays or disruptions. As such, it is possible that you may encounter spiders, ants, field mice, etc. at properties throughout the area. We take every proactive measure to prevent pests from finding their way inside the property (i.e. regular cleanings, seasonal deep cleanings, routine pest control - i.e. spray perimeter and crawl space areas, set traps, seal up holes of entry, etc.). Despite those efforts, there’s always a rare possibility that pests can find their way inside the home (as it only takes a very small entry point for that to occur). This is simply a reality of living in the mountains. At the base of the stairs, a door opens from the covered entryway to a private outdoor patio featuring a hot tub and BBQ—perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes or trails.brbrThe open floor plan on the main level featuring the kitchen, living room, and dining area makes a perfect space for gathering and entertaining. Enjoy breathtaking mountain views through the large living room windows while preparing meals in the fully stocked kitchen. There are 2 queen bedrooms and a full bathroom on this level. Another steep flight of stairs will take you to the lower level of the house, where you’ll find the other two bedrooms the second full bathroom and the stacked washer / dryer. One bedroom has a queen bed, and the other a queen and a twin.brbrTHINGS TO KNOWbr• The exterior flight of stairs is covered, but it is steep and long. The interior flight of stairs to the lower level of the house where the bedrooms are is also very steep with narrow steps, and could be challenging for small children or people with mobility issues. br• We recommend 4WD with snow tires in the winter months. The neighborhood around Alpine Meadows is steep and receives a lot of snow in the winter months. br• The parking pad fits 4 cars tightly in the summer months. In the winter, depending on snow removal you may only be able to fit 3 vehicles. br• BBQ may not be accessible during winter depending on snow removal and severity of storms. br• We provide a starting supply of toilet paper, paper towels and laundry detergent, but recommend bringing supplies for longer stays. This condo is about a quarter to a half mile from the Palisades Tahoe Alpine Meadows parking lot and is perfect for a group looking to lay their head after charging all day on the slopes or nearby hiking trails. brPark outside, enter the building and take the flight of stairs up to the second level. Enter onto the main level of the home where you’ll find the kitchen, living room, dining table, laundry, two bedrooms, and 1.5 bathrooms. Cozy up in the living room by the pellet stove to watch your favorite TV program or relax and take in the views. There is a balcony off the living room and bedroom with sliding glass doors, but the HOA has removed access to the balconies until they can upgrade safety requirements. The balconies are currently not usable during the summer of 2025 and are marked with caution tape. brEach bedroom on the downstairs level has a queen bed and one has a private en suite bathroom. Upstairs you will find the third bedroom and one full bathroom. The upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a set of twin bunk beds, so it sleeps 4 upstairs. Please note there is a loft upstairs that has been locked off.
