Guests enter on the first floor have access to a private three story home. In the basement, there is a separate apartment with a separate entrance. Basement tenants are two young quiet professionals who come and go through a separate entrance to the backyard.brbrThe first floor is a large living room, dining room with seating for 12, a half bath, and well-stocked kitchen. The large bedrooms on the upper two floors provide plenty of privacy and elegance. The second floor features a large primary sun-filled bedroom looking over the front street with private bath, and two additional bedrooms with a jack and jill bath. The third floor has two additional large bedrooms with tall ceilings and views and a shared jack and jill bath. There is one parking space in the back and street parking for an additional car. This unit shares the huge structure with a separate basement apartment. The house is very well-lit and has excellent views. We have a wonderful cleaning crew that will have the house in immaculate condition when you arrive. We have hosted many families and wedding parties. As one recent guest said, it's a [G]reat place to stay! Hosts were very responsive and lovely to work with. House was clean and spacious. Great location. This efficiency basement room has one queen bed with one shower (full bath) and a sleeper sofa (full /almost queen bed), with all amenities you could need, including a kitchen, microwave, oven, dishwasher and washer/dryer combo. There are utensils, pots, pans, plates, knives and everything you will need in a kitchen. Hair dryer, towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, iron, ironing board are also provided. Flat screen TV and internet connection are provided too.brbrLocated just 3 blocks from the Capitol, 4 blocks from the Supreme Court, and a little more than one block from the Library of Congress, this property is in a very safe neighborhood with easy street parking. We will provide temporary parking permit for street parking if guests give us the tag number and state of registration before arrival. The Mall, Smithsonian museums, and other popular tourist attractions are within walking distance. In addition, there are two and a half blocks of a wide variety of restaurants, bars, stores and banks just one block away from the house. brbrAlso just moments away, guests can find bus stops and bike share station to explore the city. There are also two metro stations (Eastern Market and Capitol South) only 3 and a half and 4 blocks away. Nationals baseball park is a little more than a mile away.brbrWe take safety seriously. There are three different kinds of carbon monoxide alarm in the basement and fire sprinkler (concealed under round plates on the ceiling). People who want to be green can rejoice as Solar panels power the house. There is a separate thermostat for the basement for you to control the temperature.
