The space features a sectional sofa, a dedicated TV, and a fully outfitted bar setup, creating the perfect atmosphere for an evening in with your group. Great Carriage House - 3 blks to Cap - Fast WIFI

Washington, Washington D.C., United States

Great 2 story 1 bedroom house with small private backyard. 3 blocks to Capitol. Great area. Walk to metro, top nationally ranked restaurants. Great security. 1880s brick carriage house. Great open bedroom upstairs. Sleeper sofa downstairs. Washer dryer.brbrCharming carriage house with private patio. Great tiny house feel. About 600 sf.brbrThese carriage houses are rare. Most were torn down decades ago. brbrDirectly off gorgeous East Capitol Street, with two corner groceries, a great diner, pharmacy, dry cleaners.brbrAddress is 308 Millers Court NE Washington DC 20002.brbrBlazing fast 1gig Verizon Fios Internet (both wifi and ethernet). The fastest service available in DC. (Most Zoom calls only require 3.0 mbps up/down and this is more than a hundred times that.brbrIncludes YouTubeTV with 85 channels including local channels, HBO, etc. We provide that account. Smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime etc preloaded to be used with your account.brWe have a security camera mounted on the outside of the building. It monitors the outside of the building only.brbrInquire about parking PRIOR to booking please. There is very little need to bring a vehicle, as there is great metro and bikeshare access, and rideshares are inexpensive and readily available. Most places you want to go to in DC won't have parking when you get there. 24/7 street parking near this property is possible with a street parking pass, which can be obtained from the DC DMV with a copy of a lease and vehicle information. It costs around $250 for a six month pass. Free street parking with no pass needed is free and open to all every night, all weekend, and two hours each weekday. We have about five offstreet parking spaces in the immediate area. We rent them from neighbors. IF a paid space is available they usually go for $300 a month. Union Station parking garage is five blocks away and can do monthly rentals including oversize vehicles for around $300 a month.brbrPLEASE SEND AN INQUIRY PRIOR TO SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST.brbrThis is a Capitol Hill Stay property. Capitol Hill Stay is a veteran-owned small business with 24 properties on Capitol Hill. We have been providing furnished lodging on Capitol Hill since 1996. We use excellent cleaners and pay them a living wage (they are best in DC if you ask me). And we have a professional full time property manager. If this property doesn't work for you or isn't available for the dates you need please reach out to us and let us know and we can see if we can find a property that does work for you. You can also swap from one of our properties to another as available if needed. Additionally you can see all of our Airbnb listings at our Airbnb host profile page.brbrPLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ABOUT PRICING. We have been a primarily longer term housing provider for 25 years but pricing on Airbnb is very hard to communicate and set, as it's impossible to know the dates and circumstances of every possible guest's needs in advance when we set pricing. Pricing may vary significantly depending on length of stay, specific dates, etc. For longer term stays there may be discounts possible.brbrGuests have complete access and privacy. NOT a shared spacebrbrDetailed Welcome Letter. As much interaction as needed.brbrCapitol Hill is an outstanding neighborhood. It's historic, charming, and ideally located at the absolute geographic center of DC. Terrific safety, with the US Capitol police patrolling the area. Home to many politicians, media figures, etc. brbrCorner groceries, pharmacy, great diner and dry cleaners a two minute walk away (less than one block). brbrEastern Market (farmers market and baker/butcher etc) is a few blocks away. Amazing restaurants and lively bars within blocks! brbrWhole Foods and several other supermarkets in the neighborhood.brbrFive blocks to metro orange/blue and red lines. Union Station train station is five blocks. Union Station is home to the major sightseeing tours. Capital Bikeshare kiosk is a couple minutes walk.brbrUber and Lyft and cheap and very easy to get here.brbrDC Circulator metro rapid bus transit also very close by.brbrA word about rates:brbrSince every booking is different the rates listed are an approximation. Rates are based on length of stay, specific dates needed, amenities requested, etc. Bookings less than 91 days are subject to the DC lodging tax of 15.95%. SINCE EVERY INQUIRY IS DIFFERENT AND THE BIGGEST FACTOR IN PRICE IS THE SPECIFIC DATES CHOSEN AND LENGTH OF STAY RATES MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER THAN WHAT IS POSTED. PLEASE INQUIRE SO WE CAN DISCUSS PRIOR TO SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST.brbrFall and winter months are very high demand, moreso this year than ever before as this is the first year that many federal agencies and private employers are bringing people back to DC, and they are making up for lost productivity during Covid. brbrAnd of course it's a presidential election year.brbrMost furnished housing providers in DC will only take bookings for three months or longer during these months. We will do less, but the rates do go up. And generally we try to match an incoming booking with an apartment that is available within a week or so of the requested date. For instance if you are seeking a month rental beginning July 1 we would want to match your request with a property available in very late June or July 1. If the property you inquired about seems to have an availability date that may not match up then you can always check HERE see all properties and their available dates.brbrOur average booking is around four to six months. We are primarily a longer term lodging provider. We can do shorter, but in the furnished housing business rates go up for shorter stays. brbrPlease don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.
