The large formal living room is a perfect gathering place before dinner when entertaining. This sun-filled room boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, antiques, large oil paintings, a grand piano, wrap-around leather sofa, a bar cart, and plenty of space. A few stairs up leads to the formal dining room with exquisite antique furnishings, crystal chandelier, seating for 10-12, and a view overlooking the living room and the four large south-facing front windows of the home. The large gourmet eat-in kitchen features a glassed-over addition offering abundant light and garden view, a center island with range and sink, high-end stainless steel appliances, and casual seating for six. French doors open to the slate patio with seating and grill. Across the hall is a quiet corner den with fireplace, work area facing the garden, fireplace, and doors that open directly to the garden. High speed WiFi, cable with HD channels, smart TV with wired internet for faster streaming provide ample entertainment options. This apartment is located less than 1 block from Connecticut Avenue, which is full of shopping, groceries, food, local retail and a Gym. The National Zoo is only a couple blocks away. Rock Creek Park and many beautiful walking trails are within walking distance. Will appeal to a nature enthusiast as well as to a restaurant and shopping lover.brbrGetting Around:brYou won't need a car while staying in this location. The Cleveland Park metro station is 3 blocks away and provides quick access to downtown DC (red line) and all tourist attractions. Many bus lines run up and down Connecticut Ave. Uber and Lyft rides are very reasonable to get anywhere around the city.brbrOther Things to Note:brLonger term stays are preferred.
